Current Characters in Route: N/A

Character
Name: Lt. Riza Hawkeye
Series: Fullmetal Alchemist (Manga)
Timeline: After Riza speaks to Pride and gets a call from Mustang.
Canon Resource Links: Here’s Riza’s wiki page.

Personality: Riza is a rather quiet, collected, and somewhat stern woman. She takes her position in the military very seriously and is known for keeping her superior officer Colonel Roy Mustang in line. While she was more timid as a teenager, her time in the military and strictly on the front lines during the Ishvalan Civil War has had quite an effect on her and caused her to become more stone-hearted. To her colleagues, Riza is an example of a perfect soldier, who is very well disciplined and rational. While on the job, she always appears very professional and rarely if ever takes time to relax from her work. Riza also has very strict control over her emotions, and it takes a rather intense event to get her to lose her cool.

While she may seem strict and rigid to most people, those who know her well know that there’s a soft side to her that she just doesn’t show that often. Riza does tend to be softer around children, which can be seen when she interacts with Edward and Alphonse Elric along with Winry Rockbell. She also shows affection towards her dog, Black Hayate, and the wiki really sums up her relationship with him the best. “Her interactions with Hayate can be seen as a metaphor for all of her significant personal relationships—a stern hand and demanding nature tempered with genuine and deep affection.”

As stated before, her participation in the Ishvalan Champaign had a profound effect on Riza. Before the war, it was possible to say that Riza had a more idealistic outlook on the world. The war managed to shatter that outlook completely and has instead replaced such thoughts with more complicated ideas. At times, she shows mixed feelings between a woman looking for unreachable redemption for her actions and acceptance of her past mistakes and their consequences. When you get to the bottom of it, however, Riza really just hopes that future generations can look back on the mistakes she made with many other Amestrian soldiers and learn from them. I think it’s this wish of hers that enables her to speak about her experiences, which she does with Ed during the series while many other people involved, including Colonel Mustang, refuse to discuss it in detail.

Despite the horrors of Ishval, Riza remained with the military and was eventually assigned to work under Mustang. Riza feels it is her duty to protect those she cares about, and that this would be best to do while enlisted in the military. (It’s never spoken out loud, but one of the people she wishes to protect is Mustang himself, who gives her the duty of “watching his back,” meaning if he strays from the path he has set himself on, she is to shoot him in the back.) Riza also shows a very high respect for firearms, which she sees as “tools for protection” rather than “tools for killing,” which is something she explained to Alphonse. While Riza will not have access to firearms here in Route, I think it’s still important to go over her attitude about them. She is never seen messing around with firearms and only aims at something or someone she intends to shoot.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Not that most of her skills will be relevant to Route, I’ve decided to list them here in case of some kind event that may take place. Anyway, Riza has managed to develop excellent administrative and secretarial skills while working under Mustang. (Someone has to keep those guys in line, and she shares the load of paperwork as well.) Riza is also highly skilled with the use of firearms. She was a sniper during the Civil War and her marksmanship hasn’t waned since then. Her knowledge of firearms also stems to their care, and she can very quickly disassemble, clean, and reassemble many types of firearms. She has experience with the use of bolt-action rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, shotguns, etc.

Both Riza’s strengths and weakness stem from her personality, as she’s a rather average woman when it comes to her physical skills, though she may be stronger than many due to her time in the military. Riza’s tough attitude and collected nature give her the ability to stay calm in the face of danger, though like any person, she can still be shaken like during her encounter with Pride. It is possible for this to be a weakness as well, however, as some people might be turned off with her lack of humor and strict attitude. While Riza’s trauma during the Civil War isn’t explored much in the series, it’s only logical to assume that the events still haunt her, though it is in character for her to hide such feelings.

Riza’s loyalty and protective nature are certainly strengths. She is very willing to aid those her loyalties lie with and does whatever she can to protect people, whether they are personal friends, acquaintances, or just the innocent, unnamed people of wherever she happens to be. Of course, such traits can also be a weakness, as Riza wouldn’t hesitate to take a hit so long as it was unavoidable and would result in the survival of the person she was protecting. She is also a supportive pillar for those she cares about and she tries her best to push people in the right direction should they need it.

It’s always difficult to pin-point Riza’s weaknesses as she really does give the appearance of a strong woman. The main weakness what can be pointed out however is her dependence on Roy Mustang. While she makes comments about how useless he can be during the series, she really is emotionally attached to him and completely breaks down at one point after thinking he had been killed. Later, near the end of the series, she is pushed to follow her orders of shooting Roy in the back, as she sees him staying off the path he wanted for himself and Amestris, and while it does seem she’s capable of shooting him, she does comment that after doing so and after everything was over, she’d commit suicide.

Riza isn’t a very social person, and such a trait could also come across as a weakness. While Riza does have friends, she isn’t seen with them very often in the series and seems to keep to herself most of the time. Most of her social interactions are with her colleagues at work, and even then, she’s exactly the type to come and chat by the water cooler. Because of this, she doesn’t have many people in her life to lean on should she need it and often faces her problems by herself. Riza prefers to shoulder her own burdens and never thinks of asking for help with them while at the same time she does help others with their problems. While this doesn’t seem to be an issue during the series, it still presents the possibility for Riza to burn herself out.

First Person Sample: Video

[Riza appears over the network and doesn’t look very amused. While she’s normally on top of her emotions, her frustration still manages to show through a little.]

Is there anyone out there who can tell me what’s going on? I woke up in a strange house this morning to meet a woman who claims to be my mother, and the rest of the residents of this town just repeat the same useless thing over and over again when I try to speak with them.

[There’s suddenly some loud chipping, and a pidgey flutters up to try to land on Riza’s shoulder, but she waves it away.]

I’ve read the pamphlets I found in the room I woke up in, but they don’t explain how I can get back to Central, or what happened to my dog my other belongings.

[More chirping. Riza sighs and glances down at where the pidgey is standing.]

I assume that the bird following me around is my “Pokémon.” I don’t understand how they’re different from other animals.

I don’t know if you can hear it over this, but there’s music playing here as well. I don’t know where the source is or how it’s playing throughout the town. No matter where I go, it doesn’t get softer or louder. I’d like to know how I’d be able to turn it off.

[The pidgey makes another attempt at landing on Riza’s shoulder, and this time she allows it.]

I apologize for asking so many questions. I’d appreciate any help from anyone.

Third Person Sample: Riza hadn’t slept well the previous night. Her encounter with Pride was enough to shake anyone. Thankfully, she had gotten that call from the Colonel, and her own pet Shiba Inu had also been there to provide her with some comfort.
By the time Riza awoke, the sun was shining brightly through the window. She reached over to where she felt Black Hayate lying next to her, but instead of his soft fur, she felt something else…

Riza snapped up and stared at the bird in her bed which awoke with a loud squawk, as Riza’s sudden movement had startled it. Songbirds were very common in Central, but this one was too large and Riza didn’t recognize its shape or plumage at all. That wasn’t what was bugging her though.
The room was foreign to Riza. It looked like it was designed for that of a child. Either way, she hopped out of the bed and looked around for Black Hayate.

“Black Hayate?” She tried calling for him, but couldn’t hear his tags jingle from his collar or his soft feet against the floor. The small bird cocked its head at Riza before preening itself.

Riza next looked for her pistols. She always had one close to her or on her person, but she couldn’t find any trace of any of her belongings. It was as if she had been magically transported to a different house. No, a completely different town!

She didn’t bother to change out of her pajamas before stepping out of the bedroom. She searched upstairs, but found nothing. The bird had come out of the bedroom as well and it hopped down the stairs after Riza.

“Oh, you’re finally awake!”

Riza jumped and turned to the woman who spoke to her. She seemed to be about Riza’s age, or maybe even a little younger.

“Professor Elm came by to look for you. I told him I’d send you over once you woke up.” The woman had been cooking breakfast, and she put freshly cooked eggs and bacon on the table as she spoke. The bird that woke up with Riza hopped up on the table and started pecking at a bowl of biscuits that had been placed there before they had come down.

“Excuse me?”

The woman looked up from her cooking and started to repeat herself. Riza interrupted.

“Yes, I heard you. I just don’t know what’s going on. Who brought me here, and how?”

“What kind of question is that? Now hurry and get dressed. You shouldn’t keep the good professor waiting!”

Riza was quickly losing her patience. “Who are you? Where am I? Is this some kind of joke?”

“Who am I? I’m your mother of course! Is this another one of your games?” She chuckled and turned back to the stove.

Well, Riza certainly didn’t expect that kind of response. This had to be a dream. There couldn’t be any other explanation! But everything was too vivid. Riza could hear people moving around outside and feel the wooden floor beneath her feet. She could smell the food on the table. She pinched her own arm, and she felt pain.

“What are you waiting for, sweet-heart? Are you feeling sick?”

“You’re not my mother. Tell me, what is this place? How did I get here?” Riza’s voice was stern.

The woman ignored her completely and started to repeat herself again. Riza wouldn’t be getting any answers here. She ran back upstairs and found some clothes to change into. They certainly weren’t hers, but they fit her well enough and there was nothing else for her to use. She found the backpack on the chair by the desk and looked through the contents. There were mundane objects like toothpaste and towels and other objects that Riza didn’t recognize. Before too long, she found the pamphlets and took some time to carefully flip through them while the bird had managed to come back up the stairs and take a seat next to her on the bed.

Riza frowned after reading through the information. It was absolutely ridiculous! They had gone on and on about these “Pokémon” creatures, but failed to explain exactly what they were. It was also alarming to see that they were pushing the reader to make these creatures fight and just calling it “training.” She had also looked at the map, but it couldn’t be correct.
At least, it didn’t match any map she knew of Amestris. She sighed and looked down at the bird, which had rested its head on Riza’s leg to request some affection. Riza’s thoughts were still centered on finding out what was going on so she could get back to Central and her real pet, though now that she looked down at this bird, she couldn’t help but feel like she was responsible for it. She reached down and gently stroked its head with her finger, and the bird responded by chirping happily. It was rather small and it seemed attached to her already, so she figured she could take care of it. From what the pamphlets said, it seemed it was hers to care for anyway.

After packing everything back in the bag, she slung it over her shoulder and started out the door. The bird followed behind and managed to snag a place to perch on Riza’s shoulder. Riza’s hopes weren’t high, but she’d start with questioning the people around the town to see what else she could learn. Hopefully she’d have better luck than with her “mother.”

Personality:
The troll race had been painstakingly forged for sweeps to ensure future generations would become hardened, violent, ruthless, and vengeful beings. Where most excel with the sharpened wit, cunning, and resourcefulness needed to hold their own, is where Gamzee Makara falls flat on his ridiculously clownish face. He is infinitely more interested in planting himself on the seashore and marveling at nothing in particular, than putting his thinkpan to better use like some of his more intelligent friends. But that’s okay, because you always gotta be motherfuckin’ going at what your heart tells in you.

To put it more plainly, he differs greatly from their culture’s norm for a plethora of reasons.

Gamzee is commonly referred to as the “joke character” of Homestuck, existing only to serve the purpose of comic relief, plot progression, and not much else besides that. He is a blatant parody of human Juggalos, having a strong interest in clowns, circus equipment, Faygo, and painting his face similar to the members of the Insane Clown Posse. His speech patterns are so outrageous, and his sentences so grammatically confusing, that it sometimes takes two or three re-reads to actually understand what he’s trying to say. His dialogue is also steeped in gangster dialect, utilizing slang such as “dog”, “dope”, “peeps”, “bro”, etcetera. He has a particular affinity for the phrase “motherfucker”, and any variations thereof. He uses clown puns less often, but uses clown-nosed emoticons and “honks” to punctuate his thoughts. Gamzee will honk like a bike horn when he’s excited, when he’s scared, or basically to express any emotion. He loves to rap, which is referred to as “Alternian slam poetry” on his planet, although he tends to be pretty terrible at it. Along with being the troll equivalent of a Juggalo, Gamzee is also often likened to a hippie or pothead because of his laid-back, peaceful attitude and for his addiction to an Alternian substance called sopor slime. Sopor originates in trolls’ beds, called recuperacoons, and surrounds a troll as they sleep, ensuring that they are not plagued by horrific nightmares. It is not to be ingested, and young trolls are normally warned of the brain-damaging effects of eating sopor slime. Gamzee however, on account of a very irresponsible custodian (which I will touch on later), was never taught the dangers of taking sopor internally. He enjoys baking it into pies, which he eats on a regular basis. Such ignorance has resulted in an addiction to the substance’s hallucinogenic and sedative properties, leaving Gamzee on a constant, mind-numbing high. Because he is constantly stoned, Gamzee has a great deal of trouble paying attention, and will often space out in the middle of conversations, or get distracted by things like bright colors or flashing lights.

Gamzee is extremely lax, and spends most of his time sitting outside his beachside dwelling, waiting for his custodian to make an appearance. Trolls are raised by enormous, white beasts called lusii. A normal troll/lusus relationship would resemble a strange, familial partnership. The young troll tends to their lusus, much like an animal trainer or zookeeper would any large animal under their supervision. In turn, the lusus looks after and raises their charge, teaching it the life lessons and living habits needed to survive. Unfortunately, Gamzee’s relationship with his lusus is strained at best. Gamzee happens to be near the very top of the hemospectrum (which is the troll equivalent of an old-fashioned social class structure - one’s place at the top or bottom of the social hierarchy is determined by the color of their blood), making him what’s known as a “highblood”. The very top rungs of the hemospectrum are reserved for sea-dwellers, which are finned trolls that reside mostly underwater. Since Gamzee is the highest-blooded land-dweller on the hemospectrum, his lusus is appropriately a seagoat, who is able to survive both on land and underwater. That being said, Gamzee’s lusus chose to spend a majority of its time at sea (save for a few sparse visits), leaving Gamzee behind for most of his life. Despite all of this, Gamzee makes it a priority to sit by the water’s edge night after night, keeping an eye out and waiting for any sign of his lusus coming to check up on him. He seems unfazed by the fact that the goat rarely shows, and is always optimistic that, maybe this time, he’ll be able to catch sight of him!

This naïveté and childish optimism carries over to a lot of other parts of his personality. He is eagerly and readily available if any one of his friends has a dilemma, and will go out of his way to help resolve it - even if it means sacrificing something of his, or altering his own behavior in some way. (He once agreed to stop eating sopor and drinking Faygo just because he was asked to. It later turned out to be a miscommunication, but the sentiment is still there.) He enjoys listening to problems, and encourages friends to open up to him so he can give his two cents on the situation. Any situation. For example, in this pesterlog, Equius is having trouble trying to get a handle on his severe, and slightly disturbing, masochistic fetishes. Equius lives to be dominated and chastised by trolls higher than he on the hemospectrum, of which Gamzee fits the bill. Gamzee is one of the few highblooded trolls who don’t value their higher social rank, and hold other trolls “below” them in contempt. He says that he doesn’t “know if [he] know[s] how to be like a better motherfucker than any other motherfucker.” This creates a problem for Equius, who tries to get Gamzee to indulge his fantasies by pleading with him to adopt a harsher demeanor. Gamzee complies, but is awful at bossing Equius around. Gamzee’s awful at pretty much everything he does, but he puts his whole heart into it anyways.

His willingness to aid friends in need, coupled with his atrocity at performing anything more intellectually demanding than laying in the sand, ensures that the advice he does end up giving is sub-par, to be extremely generous. This is painfully apparent in a different conversation, this time with Eridan. Gamzee insists on trying to help him out in Karkat’s stead. Eridan is having relationship troubles, and the only advice Gamzee provides is suggesting that Eridan “just kick back and motherfuckin snap into some rude elixir and maybe get your wicked zone on.” Eridan recognizes Gamzee’s advice as useless, and the conversation quickly deteriorates.

This brings us to another point which should be mentioned: Gamzee takes criticism extremely well. If someone has a problem with him, he’ll accept it and move on. He’ll ask if there’s anything he can do to make the relationship better, and if there isn’t, he doesn’t hold it against the other person. However, he is also quite persistent, and doesn’t seem to understand that because someone has told him they don’t like him, that probably means that they don’t want to talk to him any more. He’ll keep blabbering on like nothing happened. Even though Karkat berates and grows increasingly annoyed with him, Gamzee still refers to him as his best friend, not caring whether or not that friendship is reciprocated. Blame ignorance, indifference, or both, but any and all insults directed towards him slide right off, while he keeps that lackadaisical grin plastered all over his face. Just because he’s inattentive to a fault, even going so far as to forget the title he was given in the game, doesn’t mean that he’s completely clueless. He was extremely curious about Sgrub during Hivebent, and was trying to find out more about the game in every one of his pesterlogs. He seemed genuinely excited to start playing, and his enthusiasm continued throughout their session.

His endless optimism and awful advice stem from the deep-seated faith he has in his religion. Gamzee is a part of a cult that believes wholeheartedly that, one day, a new, utopian planet will be born. Led by his laughing, clownish lords – a duo which he has dubbed his “mirthful messiahs” - everyone will live out the rest of their lives on the paradise planet in endless celebration. His religion also places heavy emphasis on the reliance on miracles to solve both major and minor conflicts. Gamzee is so enthusiastic about this, that most of his dialogue is peppered with references to miracles – waiting on them, praying for them, believing in them, etc. - much to the dismay of his conversational counterpart. He truly believes in the spiritual and miraculous properties of Faygo, and of fistfuls of glitter he calls his “special stardust”, which he throws into his face every time he prays for a miracle. Because of his devotion to miracles, and believing so fervently in the unexplainable, the only thing that really seems to upset him is when people try to explain away his beliefs. If he believes something is a miracle, he doesn’t want to be told otherwise. He doesn’t want someone to explain the inner-workings of a piece of technology, or why a bottle of Faygo hisses when you crack it open. They’re just miracles, plain and simple, and one shouldn’t try to dissect them. Rocking the foundation of his religion is one of the fastest ways to upset this otherwise docile young troll.

It is the complete annihilation of his religion that is a major factor in Gamzee’s mental breakdown.
It would be utterly deceiving to say that Gamzee is harmless, despite everything just said about his calm, peace-loving ways. Although, during Sgrub, he had preferred to split pies with his enemies instead of fighting them, he did say that he had fought at least some of them before they’d all settled down. Karkat mentions in one of his memos that Gamzee carries out one of the most powerful attacks against the Black King at the end of the game, and how unexpected an attack of that caliber was coming from Gamzee. So, we know there’s some power he has hidden away, whether or not he’s completely aware of it is another question. Regardless, he becomes fully aware of many things after Dave sends him a link to the ICP music video for “Miracles”. This makes Gamzee insanely furious, shattering everything he thought he’d believed in, leaving him distraught and directionless. Gamzee’s actions after his introduction to the video contradict everything he used to stand for, and everything he used to believe.

Gamzee did not snap solely because of the video (although it was a large contributer). He was also becoming more and more lucid as he ran out of sopor slime. He had made mention earlier in the game about how it had been “ages since [he] had a good pie.” As he neared sobriety, he was more susceptible to provocation, and his mental state was becoming more and more unstable, even if he didn’t realize it. Highbloods are known to be more violent and ruthless than other trolls, and it seemed that the sopor Gamzee would ingest kept his anger and bloodlust at bay.

After the video, Gamzee disappeared from the lab, only making contact with Karkat later to taunt and antagonize him. As Gamzee talked with Karkat, he explained how he’d come to realize that he himself was actually the gods that he had worshipped previously. Both of the mirthful messiahs, he said, were inside of him, and it was his duty to kill everyone left on the meteor.

Gamzee is worlds apart from himself when sober. He becomes a manipulative, homicidal monster that enjoys toying with his victims before finally offing them. He seems to become very intelligent, even managing to turn Terezi’s steadfast investigation on its head so she wouldn’t pin the murders of Nepeta and Equius on him (which he was entirely responsible for). He instead tampered with the evidence and used his newfound powers (to be explained!) to lead Terezi to believe that Vriska was to blame for the murders of their friends, and even for the murder of Gamzee himself. He is extremely delusional for believing that he is not one, but two omnipotent entities, hell-bent on destroying everyone he deems unworthy. While sober, the mirthful messiahs manifest themselves in the way Gamzee speaks, having him calmly speak one sentence, then maniacally scream the next. He takes the blood caste system very seriously in his insanity, ordering Equius to kneel before him. When Equius hesitates, Gamzee shoots an arrow into his leg, forcing him down on his knee. Gamzee gets ridiculously overpowered in this state, which I’ll describe in more depth in the next section. It is widely disputed whether or not Gamzee’s sober or high personas are his “true” self, whether or not eating the sopor calms him down enough so he can be who he really wants to be, and not the ravenous killer his blood makes him. Since entering a moirallegiance with Karkat, Gamzee’s rage seems to have been quelled. He’s definitely not the same troll he was in the beginning of Hivebent, but his murderous rampage has come to a screeching halt. In canon, the pair have since split, and Gamzee has since partnered up with a younger version of the Big Bad. His motives remain intentionally clouded to the reader, so whether or not he remains calmed and good, or if he’s back to being a murderous villain is entirely speculation at this point.

Personality: While Perona’s personality hasn’t changed much from her younger self (bossy, rude, loud-mouthed and pompous), Perona’s personality definitely has taken a turn as she aged. She’s far more mature and independent now than she ever was on Thriller Bark. Because Perona was stripped of all her material possessions and her luxurious lifestyle for two years, as she lived with Mihawk and Zoro on Kuraigana Island, she was basically forced to grow up and stand on her own two feet instead of relying on others to answer her beck and call. She had to learn to survive on her own without her servants because, let’s face it, Zoro and Mihawk aren’t exactly the accommodating type. If she wanted anything, she had to either make or get it herself.

This shows Perona’s strength and capability to overcome, despite being so out of her element. She’s an extremely determined and out-spoken young woman, ready to put her foot down and tell anyone off, regardless of who they are or how much stronger than her they may be, if they so happen to upset her or say something she doesn’t agree with. She speaks her mind and doesn’t pull her punches in the slightest. While she may have calmed down to a degree while living with the two swordsmen, Perona still has her little outbursts if she’s annoyed enough. These are usually set off by Zoro’s unaccommodating nature or, say, Sanji’s overzealous and rather perverse invasion of her personal space when she met with the Monster Trio (Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji) on Sabaody. She laid the smack-down on the poor man for just going a bit too far, and didn’t hesitate one little bit to do so.

Even though she has her moments, Perona really is a well-balanced individual. She’s capable of being kind, sweet, even nurturing. Though not much is known of what happened during the two years she spent with Mihawk and Zoro, it’s seen that she does care about the latter of the two very much, even though they butt heads more than two angry mountain goats. She was rather upset, even depressed, when Zoro had to leave her to rejoin the Straw Hats on their journey. Perona detests being alone, and even though Zoro was her enemy back on Thriller Bark, she grew fond of him over time, and misses him when he’s not there with her. She was also put in charge of nursing Zoro back to health by Mihawk when she and Zoro first arrived on Kuraigana Island and met with the older man.

While there is no evidence physically seen of Perona feeling the same towards shichibukai Dracule “Hawkeyes” Mihawk, I believe she shares a similar bond with him, though not quite as personable. If anything, Perona treats Mihawk with slightly more respect. “Slightly” being that she still tells even him off at times, and berates him for being unsympathetic and just plain mean to her. Though, over time, I believe Mihawk acted as a calming agent for Perona’s hot and cold attitude, and she feels more at peace with the shichibukai than she does with Zoro, who tends to rile her up a high percentage of the time. And while Perona may not have allied herself with Mihawk and instead is more of a free-roaming pirate, I doubt she’d allow for anyone to badtalk the man while in her presence and thinks of him fondly.

The Straw Hats are a different story entirely. Barring all but Usopp, Perona treats them with a cool sort of indifference. She doesn’t care what they do, how they do it, or why they do the things they do if it doesn’t directly involve or affect her. In the past, she may antagonize them just because it’s fun or she’s bored or something, but now that she’s aged, Perona really doesn’t care at all for most of the Straw Hat pirates, showing that if she doesn’t have interest in a person or thing, she usually just ignores it or them. She can get along with the Straw Hats much better than she used to, though Usopp alone is the one person she hates with every part of her being. He is the only one to have ever defeated her outright, and gave Perona her very first loss. She holds the largest grudge against him than any person possibly could hold. There’s no doubt at all that Perona would try to attack or challenge him if she happened to get in contact with him. Or, at the very far end of the spectrum, scream at him as much as she can without getting too physical.

All in all, in regards to the Straw Hat pirates, Perona really doesn’t care much about them other than Zoro, but Usopp is the one person she hates more than anything else, and her furious nature would certainly flare up if she were to meet him again. She is extraordinarily unforgiving in that sense, considering she held her grudge against Usopp for two years when he beat her back on Thriller Bark.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Physical: Perona’s physical strength is rather lacking, to be completely honest. As a young human woman, she’s really not anyone to look at twice in terms of muscle strength. She of course has her episodes of “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” as is protocol in shounen manga/anime (basically being able to clobber those – usually men – thousands of levels stronger than her when she’s angry enough), but she’s no Hercules or anything of that sort. What she is good at, however, is being very flexible and acrobatic, even while being incredibly fashionable. Seriously, you try doing a backflip in four inch heels and sticking that flawlessly without batting an eyelash. She’s very aware of what she can and cannot do as well, in terms of her own strength, and knowing that her special abilities won’t come into play in Route will deter her from really getting into a fight she can’t win. She’d much rather run away to save her own skin than risk a battle she may lose. And she can run pretty fast, too.

Other skills Perona has that aren’t exactly muscle prowess or physical strength include the ability to sew and make simple to moderately detailed clothing, cooking basic dishes, and a lot of experience with first aid and its application. She tended to Zoro’s wounds on Kuraigana island for two years, and her knowledge of medical practice and application obviously improved over that time. In the beginning she was sloppy and did a terrible job at just bandaging the poor guy, but now that she’s grown, she knows her stuff pretty well, and definitely aid someone who needs quick medical attention if she has supplies on hand.

Mental: Despite her misgivings as being bratty and insolent, Perona is actually very intelligent. She was not made a key player of Moria’s crew when he was still alive for nothing, and it certainly shows in her battle style. Perona always goes into battle with a set plan in mind, and can come up with a new plan with relative ease. She knows how to use her powers as well as her wit in the best possible ways, when to use them, and how to utilize them to gather the best results. Perona may be “pompous” as she’s referred to by Zoro, but she is not an idiot. Her battle tactics are actually frighteningly effective, and build up to the point where she starts to get physical.

These tactics include Perona using planning, as I’ve said before, and mainly intimidation and scare tactics to warp her opponent’s mind. A frightful and jumpy opponent cannot think straight or make rational decisions – which is exactly what she aims for. Perona uses her opponent’s fear to overpower them mentally before getting physical with whatever’s available (normally that would include her devil fruit powers, but as they’re nonexistent in Route, they’d be replaced with her Pokemon). Her strategies are ones that attack the mind and spirit first and foremost. She acts cocky, confident, and so sure of herself that it, in effect, intimidates her opponents. If her foes think they cannot win, then she’s achieved one goal, and can further her ploy of getting them to surrender or defeat them. Confidence in any battle can play a great role in the outcome.

Perona herself was also the main player in gathering information for Moria when she was still his crewmate via her “Ghost Network” (the ability to create her ghosts and have them span large areas as spies. Because she sees and hears what they do, they make Intel work very easy for her) and the information she gathers with her skills was vital to the role of her captain and all of the other members of her crew. Because of the power restrictions, however, Perona would not be able to use the ghosts she could have created for this purpose, but if she can manipulate her pokemon to gather information for her, especially ones that can go invisible or hide especially well, she will use them in such manners. Perona actually enjoys gathering information through reading, newspapers, or eavesdropping with her hollows ghosts or in person and usually scowls when she’s out of the loop on things happening in the real world. She doesn’t like being left out of anything, so she gets pretty miffed when people are discussing things she doesn’t know, and makes it her own personal obligation to get the scoop on what’s going on.

Emotional: Perona’s emotional strengths are fairly basic. She has a very well balanced set of emotions. She knows how to keep a level head more so now that she’s aged than she used to in the past. She can keep calm better than she used to, and she’s usually rather poised in most situations, keeping a straight face and an open mind. This doesn’t mean that she’s emotionless, though! Not at all, Perona is often prone to her little outbursts of frustration, irritation and depression, and she’s still capable of being happy, overjoyed, and even excited over some things. She just knows how to better control her emotions now than she did in her youth, which may be attributed to her age and the two males she was living with, both of whom either negated her emotional rampage and put her in her place (Mihawk) or, on the other hand, set it off entirely (Zoro).

Let it be noted, however, that Perona does have a temper, and it’s not all that difficult to rub her the wrong way, it just takes longer for her to actually explode (but when she does, look the fuck out). She thinks extremely highly of herself, and she won’t allow for anyone, anyone, to disrespect her in any way at all. She’s very open-minded and loud-mouthed. She’ll stand up for herself, even if her opponent could potentially squash her like a grape – there is nothing she hates more than being at the short end of the stick. And if her temper flares, she won’t hold back in the slightest. Meaning that yes, if she is angry enough, or someone has done her wrong in a way she deems is unforgivable, she may take the path that leads to someone’s death. She may be a lady, but she will always be a pirate.

Of course, there are other episodes Crocker is in but these are the most substantial episodes to his character. As well as, the episodes below.

Outside of having had ruled the universe, Denzel has also helped Timmy Turner his moral enemy on two occasions in the episode, >No Substitute for Crazy and The Future Lost.

It's also shown in A Wishful Life that if Timmy hadn't time traveled to Crocker's past and goofed everything up, Crocker would be non crazy fairy obsessed adult or rather like all the other adults in the Fairly Oddparents world. Also, Denzel's personality would be closer to that of his child self before the mind wiping. It should be noted that A Wishful Life is an alternate universe and nothing to else to do with this app expect reinforce The Secret Origin of Denzel Crocker.

Denzel Crocker | Fairly Oddparents| Unreserved 2/3

[personal profile] crackpotcrocker 2013-07-04 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality:
When Denzel Crocker was a kid he was happy, helpful, and not selfish. However, this optimistic Crocker would not last due to several unfortunate twists of fate. When he was very young he was the victim of a meddling visitor from the future that changed his life forever. Not only did this visitor provoke his current unsavory personality, but along with several events over the course of his life, fueled his obsessions in magic, fairies, and revenge on those who had wronged him. Despite these events, Crocker has some good traits. For example, Crocker’s persistence is of outstanding quality. There’s no force on heaven or earth that can make this quit. Considering Crocker’s only been successful twice. Not that he recalls being successful. The fairies themselves comment on how you have to admire Crocker’s dedication to the job.

When Crocker was very young, he had two Fairy Godparents who helped him learn how to be a good little boy. They helped him be kind to other people and learn valuable life lessons. However, a traveler from the future came to Crocker's time and forced him to expose the existence of his Fairy Godparents. The cardinal rule of fairies was that if they were exposed that the child would lose the Fairy Godparents and all memories of them existing. When this traveler caused Crocker's to lose his fairies he reverted back to being a sickly, lonesome, and prickly individual who hadn't learned anything of how to help others.

Despite the loss of memory, he couldn't quite shake the feeling that magic creatures existed somewhere out there, and he spent his life in pursuit of them. Or maybe it was actually just wishful thinking given the wretched conditions he had to face without his Fairy Godparents

Crocker didn't have many other people in his life to be positive influences - his mother wasn't around and his father isn't shown to be around either. He was mainly raised by an evil babysitter who is cruel in all the exaggerated ways possible. Given his poor treatment on a daily basis he grew to distrust people.
This distrust, coupled with an obsession with discovering the truth about faeries and magic that was spurred on by the incidents of his youth, ultimately coaxed Crocker into growing into an inquisitive but ultimately strange man who few knew and even fewer liked.

In fact, the only real attachment of Crocker's that we see (aside from his mother, anyway) is from a girl named Geraldine Waxelplax. The two knew one another when Crocker was a younger and she'd initially thought he was selfless, brave, and intelligent, as time passed and Crocker became more and more obsessed with magic she thought his obsession with magic and fairies was psychotic and she eventually gave up on him. She then insisted that he call her by a formal name and brushes off any of his random exclamations of love.

His obsession with magic and fairies being real impacts his relationship with pretty much everyone. Crocker gains the reputation of being a 'crackpot' because of his outlandish theories and is often teased or berated because of it. As a result of the constant -- often merciless -- teasing he even decides that he will one day get revenge against everyone who's ever wronged him or insulted him in any way.

Oddly enough he seems to get along well with animals, if only because they don’t have the capacity to mock his often wild theories.
Obviously, Crocker’s hair trigger temper centers from his own horrible life growing up.

Even if his has some hard-to-believe theories and a seeming lack of focus, Crocker is very intelligent. He's able to invent amazing things like cold fusion or other gadgets which can perform some pretty amazing feats. For example, he creates an anti-magic, magic tracking device, and magic seeking goggles. He even was able to somehow hack into the mainframe of the internet! However, even with the ability to create such inventions he can sometimes lack common sense which proves to be his undoing on most occasions.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Crocker is no expectation to that rule. When Crocker does manage to capture two fairies --Cosmo and Wanda-- and manipulate the fairy magic, which can do just about anything, Denzel goes and rearranges the world. He creates wormholes to travel though time and space, cause atomic explosions, and a whole plethora of other fantastical things. It's not a good idea to give this man too much power since he's apt to abuse it.

Since Crocker is about the only character, outside of Timmy and the fairies, that know that fairies exist, Denzel appears to normal people to be extremely paranoid. Who can blame him since his student’s pencils that are enchanted by fairy magic seem to have eyes?

Strengths/Weaknesses

Strengths:

Illogical thinking
Super Hacker; See Information Stupor Highway (above)
Mechanical Engineering;
As Crocker can create gizmos that manipulate, control and capture that crazy Fairy Godparent magic. Making him a formidable enemy for Timmy Turner.
Persistence

Weakness:

Illogical thinking
Lack of common sense
Social interactions;
Due to the fact Crocker tolerates interacting with his class and is alone the rest of the times the man doesn't know to per say socially interact. Not to mention stalking Timmy Turner which is very anti social behavior.
Subborn
Lack of trusting;
After all his mother is never around in his childhood and Crocker's father completely abandons Denzel and Geraldine leaves Crocker.
Temper and Spasms
Obession with fairies;
Which usually causes the spasms.
Blind as a Bat without his Glasses
High Strong
Power Lust; why do you think he goes after those fairies?

Character
Name: Kimber Benton.
Series: Jem (and the Holograms. That Jem).
Timeline: Pre-season 3.
Canon Resource Links: One (1) Truly Outrageous™ wiki link! Will add more if needed!

Personality: Kimber has never been the quiet one. Ever. She always has something to say, and she isn't afraid of saying it, especially if it's something that she has strong convictions over. Kimber has a very good sense of right and wrong - and an idea of when she's being lied to or led on. It's instinctive, and she's very outspoken about those instincts. That's not to say that Kimber doesn't have a filter; she just isn't afraid to speak her mind. She's defiant, she's rebellious. She's stubborn. She's your typical redheaded spitfire.

It becomes worse when she's angry. If you thought she was loudmouthed before, think again, because there's no stopping her when she's upset. She is most definitely not afraid to tell off the ones who she thinks are responsible for her anger, sometimes resorting to drastic measures (for instance, she completely walked out on the her bandmates, the Holograms. Twice). The biggest way to set her off? Make her jealous. Don't show her any appreciation whatsoever. That's one of the most apparent aspects of Kimber's personality, and it has roots all the way back to when Kimber was a small child, growing up in the shadow of her sister, Jerrica. Jerrica was clearly the favorite, and when their father died, it was Jerrica who wound up with everything. If there's even a bit of sway that Eric Raymond, evil record executive extraordinaire, has over it, it's that he knows how to manipulate her using her envy. He understands how Her jealousy is incredibly deep-seeded, and it isn't anything that she's likely to get over any time soon.

However, though she's incredibly jealous and sometimes easily annoyed, Kimber will be the first to admit that she sometimes takes things too personally. And that, of course, leads to feelings of guilt. And even though it's sometimes hard for her to admit that she did wrong in the first place, she'll eventually come around and apologize if she truly believes that she is at fault.

And honestly, Kimber's anger track record is rather impressive, considering that she lives and works with four other girls. With her firecracker nature, it's a wonder that she hasn't blown up (no pun intended) or walked out several other times. However, there's a good explanation for this: venting space. Kimber loyally keeps a diary - it's one of the only things that keeps her sane in that house, and she is not shy to unload literally all her feelings into it. She also finds therapy in music in lyrics, and has ever since she was a young girl. Kimber is talented with the guitar, keyboard, and keytar, and also writes the majority of the music for Jem and the Holograms. Her father always thought that she had the strength to overcome anything - and this is her way of proving him right.

It's through this that she manages to keep her issues under the radar and the sweet, funny, outgoing girl emerges. Despite how quick she may be to set off, Kimber isn't angry all the time. In fact, she's usually in a good mood, and almost always willing to help others. She's very excitable, and always up for a good time. Work? What's that? Especially if she doesn't want to do it. However, this does have a downside: when it comes to making choices about things she wants, Kimber has a problem with saying no. Especially when it comes to boys. Especially when it comes to boys. It's not uncommon for her to be stringing along several at one time, and then there was the time that she accepted a marriage proposal in front of the man that she was supposed to be exclusively dating. So, needless to say, she's always looking for fun and new experiences - but that's often the same thing as looking for trouble.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Kimber's main abilities lie in her musical competency. As the creative force behind Jem and the Holograms, she's able to come up with a perfect tempo, melody, and beat in a record amount of time. Need a hit song? Call Kimber. Seriously. She'll even help you out by playing her guitar and/or keyboard, if need be. Or, both at the same time. Because keytar.

Her weaknesses, well. Boys. If there's anyone in the group that's boy crazy, it's definitely Kimber. She's a natural flirt, and honestly doesn't see the big deal with dating as many as she possibly can. And there's not a problem with that. The problem is that she takes them all on at once.

There's also the idea of fame. All Kimber really wants is a little recognition and appreciation. If you want to lure her in, hint (or outright tell her, it's all the same) that she'll make it to the top. Make her think that she will outshine her sister and everyone else.

As stated before, Kimber has a mean jealous streak. She's always trying to prove herself. She loses it at the mere idea that she isn't being appreciated enough - and if she isn't getting credit where she thinks she deserves it, that's more than enough for a bit of a tantrum.

First Person Sample:

Okay, so.

[ have kimber. she's not distraught, she's not angry, but she's found herself a nice patch of grass and has decided to recline accordingly. and she doesn't seem particularly happy. ]

What do you guys do? Besides make your animals fight or whatever. Because I'm just really not used to this kind of stuff. Free time's great, but this?

[ is that a dramatic eyeroll? it's a dramatic eyeroll. ]

I mean, I know sleepy little places existed, but - like. Who wants to get together and shake things up?! [ yes. yes, the way her voice raised an octave was completely normal. you're welcome. ]

Third Person Sample:

Kimber has a definite sense of right and wrong. And there's nothing inherently wrong (she guesses) with the state of things so far. Job training? That's fine. Gross, but fine. That's right. That's respectable.

Stealing things. That's a definite wrong.

"I don't know who they think they are," Kimber grumbles. It's an assignment and she doesn't take orders well, promises of payment or not. But she packs a bag anyway, throwing things haphazardly into it. She thinks a pair of shoes hits the bottom and cracks something else, and she just groans. "I'm pretty sure this counts as kidnapping, you know!"

She yells it to no one in particular (unless the wall has suddenly grown ears and is capable of recording her every conversation), but as soon as she snaps it Kimber looks over her shoulder, eyes narrowed toward the open door. Please, someone, peek around the corner. She dares you.

But there's nobody, and there's still a small pile of things waiting to be loaded into Kimber's pack, but instead she takes the opportunity to slump down in a nearby chair.

Everything is the worst.

She could be at home, she wants to argue. She could be at home or at the ritziest hotel in L.A. - in New York! In Europe! Anywhere she chose because that's who she is. She's Kimber Benton and she's the songwriter behind Jem and the Holograms and she's the reason they've remained consistently at the top of the charts. She's a performer. She's a name.

Kimber Benton is not a petty thief. She's young and she sulks and she slumps in chairs and throws tantrums. But she isn't a criminal.

She catches herself slipping further down in her chair and she scurries to sit up again, jaw setting as she grips the armrests. She looks from the bag to the door and back to the bag again before standing.

"That's it. I'm not going," she says resolutely - so close to punctuating it with a stomp of her foot. "And whoever's in charge of this thing is gonna figure that out real quick!"

Character
Name: Aki Izayoi
Series: Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's
Timeline: End of episode 24 (right after Divine guides her away from the duel ring)
Canon Resource Links: Her MyAnimeList page | Her Yu-Gi-Oh Wiki page | Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's on wikipedia

Personality:

Aki is normally cold and distant. She has little to none trust for others and a lot of hate towards the world. All of this is a result of being treated like a monster for several years. She's had a power unlike any others ever since she was a small girl; a power to physically materialize duel monsters and use their power to cause actual pain. She was feared, even hated and on top of that, she believed that her own parents reacted the same way, which was the final trigger for her change. Aki started to feel like she couldn't trust anyone and that everyone around her was an enemy.

After the implied betrayal of her parents, she entered the dueling underground and gained a name for herself. She couldn't control her powers, which let her to hurt other duelists. She felt guilty for everything she did and eventually couldn't handle it anymore. So she placed a mask on her face and became the Black Rose Witch. With the mask she could just stop feeling anything at all and duel without caring about other people. Black Rose Witch also served as Aki's other personality, which loved to destroy.

Her life changed yet again when she met Divine - a man who claimed to have same kind of abilities as she had. He told her about the Arcadia Movement, which sheltered psychic duelists and also that they "needed Aki's powers". Aki found a place to stay with Divine and found some hope. She stopped thinking and let Divine tell her everything she needed to do. Even if she had found new hope and a reason to exist, her anger towards the rest of the world kept growing. This was also because of Divine, without her actually knowing about it.

She doesn't feel comfortable around people she doesn't know, but she rarely shows her insecurity towards anyone. If she trusts someone, it's possible to see her smile, even though the happiest of feelings are hard for her to find. Strong personalities, such as Yuusei Fudou's, have a chance of breaking through the wall around her to reach for her. It was Yuusei who made her doubt her current situation and think about what she really wanted. This doesn't necessarily make her trust Yuusei, but she's willing to hear him out if he has something to say, which is a good start, considering she used to hate him because he also has a "mark" on her arm which she also has. Even though those who own the mark could be considered as her allies, as people who share her fate, she usually feels hate towards them because she loathes the mark that's made her a monster.

It's hard for her to control her emotions - especially the negative ones. She's easily angered and she'll use her powers to deal with any and all problems she has. She's also quick to deny what might be true about her as she doesn't want to get hurt anymore by trying to be 'normal'. Instead she continues being what she really isn't: a violent and sadistic witch. Aki is actually a sweet and kindhearted girl. She's loyal to her friends and would help them if they needed her help. Hurting others makes her feel guilty and she doesn't view herself as a normal or a kind girl because of it. That's why it's easy for her to lock this side of herself. Dueling, to her, is actually fun and something she really loves to do, but cannot - especially since she has no control over her powers whatsoever.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

Strengths
✔ Loyal | She's extremely loyal to Divine those she trusts. If she's made a promise to stay on someone's side, she will.
✔ Pain endurance | She's experienced a lot of pain in her life and because of that she's gained some endurance towards pain.
✔ Experience with "monsters" | While the duel monsters in her world are a different thing, this can still be seen as an advance, because Aki's able to cause physical pain to other people with her duel monsters which is similar to Pokémon.
✔ Hardworking | If Divine she has a goal, she'll do everything in her power to achieve it.

Weaknesses
✘ Distrustful | She finds it hard to trust people. It takes her a long time to gain even small amount trust for someone.
✘ Dependent | She needs Divine someone to show her what to do. She doesn't think for herself and lets Divine others tell her what to do.
✘ Temperamental | She's easily angered. Even little things can make her lose her cool and she doesn't cool down easily.
✘ Easy to manipulate | "Your power is needed" was almost all it took when she was talked into joining Arcadia movement.

A bit of both
✔/✘ Divine | He's the man who gave Aki a place to stay. That's why Aki finds comfort and strength in him. So just the thought of him might be able to help her pull through. Divine is also a weakness, because Divine is a jerk she's easily controlled by him and his words.

First Person Sample:

[For a long time, Aki had been searching for an ideal dragon. Nothing so far reminded her of her ace monster - the Black Rose Dragon - but with no luck. Dragons are the reason she's addressing the network today.]

What can you tell me about the local dragons? [If she can't get anything similar to her own one, she might as well pick a good one from the options she has. So she'll need opinions.]

I'd like to hear about their abilities, as well as their behaviour.

[A "please" would be nice?

No? Okay then, the video ends without one.]

Third Person Sample:

It had been a long time since Aki had felt this lonely and lost. Divine had provided her a place to belong. The Arcadia movement had been her home. There she hadn't been alone. This world didn't have the movement or Divine, so she felt insecure. Maybe a little scared of things to come.

Aki was sure that she would be seen as a monster, even in this world. She didn't have her powers, but people would most likely see her using her "Pokémon" the same way she used her duel monsters and start treating her like one. That was the only possible way for things to go. Only Divine could say that her powers were needed.

She realized something and raised her head from her knees. Divine... if he had been here, how would he react to the fact that she didn't have her powers? Would he still give her a reason to belong? She didn't know. There wasn't a way for her to know, since he wasn't here. A part of her wished he would come to her despite the situation - another part wished he wouldn't, because she was scared of being rejected again. Aki couldn't afford to lose another place.

Except now she had. This world wasn't hers. She didn't belong here. She was an outsider. No matter how much the Vulpix next to her tried to comfort her she couldn't bring herself to smile. Instead, she reached to pet the little fox Pokémon absentmindedly. This world didn't need her. It could just choose whoever to look after these creatures. Then why had she been chosen? Divine would understand the reason... Divine would.

He wouldn't abandon the creatures either. Aki knew, because he hadn't abandoned her. That's why she would look after the Pokémon she had been given. She would be with them until she found a way home.

Keiko Yukimura | Yu Yu Hakusho | Reserved [2/3]

[personal profile] topoftheclass 2013-07-07 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Personality: At first glance, Keiko appears to be simply the keeper of her class’s biggest delinquent, always dragging him to school and often the first person the teachers ask about his non-attendance. In reality, she’s much more than this. She is the most academically minded of her core group of friends, although she is also the smartest if you take certain child prodigy’s out of the equation. She shows a deep understanding of the importance of school not only in how she spends countless hours studying in order to get into a prestigious all girls high school, but also in how she drags Yusuke to class and often lectures him about what making it through middle school and high school will do for his life. Further, she is not above tutoring her fellow classmates and friends or answering their questions about homework assignments. Her willingness to tutor however, does not mean those receiving her help don’t have to work to earn their grades. She’ll walk you through a problem or two reminding you of steps in the process but under no circumstances will she do another student’s homework for them or allow another student to copy her completed homework. She firmly believes that that sort of thing doesn’t help anyone learn and only ruins the learning process for everyone. Besides it will be obvious quick that you don’t actually know what you’re doing anyway so why not put in the work if you’ll go to such lengths to cheat.

As if her academic achievement weren’t enough she’s ambitious although not in a power hungry sort of way. She is an active member of the Student Council as her class’s representative. She spends hours after school participating in Student Council meetings and committees. As previously noted she wants to get into a prestigious all girls high school and that alone takes great ambition and dedication. She wants more out of life than to be the daughter of noodle shop owners. She doesn’t really want to make her mark but she does want to make her parents proud and go further and achieve all their dreams for her. She wants to grow up and marry the boy she fell in love with at four while having a good job and raising a family. She doesn’t want to fall into the stereotype of a young woman who lives only to cook and clean for her husband and family although she does enjoy both cooking and cleaning, Keiko is very aware that the world has more to offer to her than simply that one particular role.

Keiko is a largely friendly individual. She befriended Yusuke at a young age and has maintained a long running friendship for more than a decade with him. Her group of friends at Sarayashiki Junior High is diverse and even those she isn’t close to seem to at least treat her with both respect and warmth. It doesn’t seem that anyone really dislikes her. Actually, the closest she get to being disliked is receiving strange looks from classmates when she’s seen speaking with either Yusuke or Kuwabara. Both boys have reputations for being poor students and troublemakers so the fact that she’s friends with either alarms people even when she points out that neither boy is like what the stories say. The fact that she is friends with both of Sarayashiki Junior High’s biggest delinquents speaks to how she refuses to bow to expectation. As far as Keiko is concerned, people are people and no one has the right to tell her who she can and cannot be friends with just because some people have poor reputations. In all truth, she is a better person for being friends with all kinds of different students. While she has ambitious goals knowing people that don’t take school anywhere near as seriously as she does has helped her grow and learn that sometimes it’s okay to take a break and just do something for the sake of having fun.

Keiko hates being lied to, whether directly or by omission. It makes her angry and not above making threats of dishing out physical harm (which is really total bull she only beats up on one person ever). Worse if the lie comes from someone she considers important she feels equal parts betrayed and unimportant. Both are emotions she’s loathe to experiencing and it makes her all the more intent on confronting the person that lied to her. When it comes right down to it the feeling of unimportance kills her more than the feeling of betrayal. That isn’t to say she wants to be everyone’s number one, but certain people (read: Yusuke) have a way of unintentionally making her feel so small by lying to her that it borders on horrifying. Especially since Keiko is not someone who typically measures her self-worth by how a boy treats her. If that were the case, she would have stopped sticking up for and putting up with Yusuke ages ago.

Recently, Keiko has discovered the existence of demons. She was never supposed to find and she’s still dealing with this new world view. In a lot of ways, she still thinks that her week on Hanging Neck Island was a sort of dream. Seriously, demons? While surrounded by them she was outwardly fearless, which was probably a bad idea considering she was one of a very small group of humans to attend the tournament. More recently though she’s gone back to normal life and doesn’t think too much about the experiences of Hanging Neck Island, it’s just easier that way. Besides she’s still not convinced that it wasn’t at least partially a hallucination brought on by bad food or something.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

+ Book Smart
Give her a written exam or quiz her on Japanese history she’ll pass with flying colors. Academics are her thing in a way that few things else are. The gist of it is she’s comfortable as a bookworm that spends hours studying. Or well semi-bookworm she has other responsibilities too that require her attention before she can slip into her bedroom for a few hours to get her homework done. Most of these responsibilities though are tied to her school (Student Council Class Representative) or her parent’s restaurant though.

+ Stern with her friends
Considering that Keiko puts a high premium on people achieving for themselves, she knows how to be strict. It also helps that her bullshit meter has a fairly low setting too. For the most part, she’s aware when people are trying to trade on their friendship for things that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to achieve. She’ll call them out on it and remind them that if they’re willing to put this much effort into cheating that maybe they should redirect that effort into doing things right the first time.

+ Athletic
She might not be considered the most athletic eighth grader, but she definitely of the athletic persuasion. She was fully capable of remaining on the run for a week while possessed humans attempted to kill her six months after Yusuke came back to life. There’s also the fact that can play a mean game of volleyball during gym as well and knock Yusuke unconscious with a single slap. Just how often can a girl come flying out of nowhere and snatch a tiny piece of gum out of thin air like it was absolutely nothing? Not often.

+ Capable of reigning in Yusuke.
Honestly, this has to be some sort of black magic. Not even his boss can get Yusuke to put the brakes on as Keiko can. Okay it’s probably not actually black magic so much as having been his oldest friend. This isn’t a form of control but there are times where she can get him to listen, to look at the situation differently, and at the very least calm down. However, she prefers to use this rare ability infrequently. She isn’t controlling but sometimes he needs a little nudge in the right direction much like anyone else. It’s just normally in the shape of dragging Yusuke to school once every fourteen days.

+ Supportive
She is a great cheerleader. If you need support, she’ll be there waving metaphorical pom-poms and words of encouragement. She will be the most encouraging person possible, because everyone deserves a decent support system.

+ Can cook
Learning to cook was never really a question of if. Since her parents own a restaurant it was more of a question of when and how well. She’s probably not as good as her parents since she helps out between school activities and homework, but she’s still pretty good for a fifteen year old. Not that her proficiency keeps her father from regularly teasing her about how her ability to cook will help her find a husband.

+ Can handle herself just fine when dealing with other humans
Ordinary humans don’t scare. Even possessed humans only gave her pause for a few seconds before she was off plotting how to stay alive with Botan’s help. Thugs and the like on their own tend to make her annoyed more than anything else does. Honestly, she’s not entirely defenseless as some would believe because hi sweet little defenseless teenage girl is so a pipe dream. Please give her a little credit not every situation requires a damsel in distress reaction.

+/- Keiko Slap
While this move is Keiko’s best defensive move she actually doesn’t have much of a love for using it. She’d honestly prefer not to, circumstances however tend to make it necessary whether she’s running from a possessed human or physically chastising Yusuke for being a total jerk (honestly all those skirt flips he has it coming). Considering she isn’t all that fond of violence, the fact that she responds violently in some situations may seem hypocritical. And okay it sort of is, but sometimes there really is no other way to get her point across.

- Damsel in Distress
While she’s perfectly capable of handling herself against humans, those of the not so human biology tend to put her at an extreme disadvantage. It often ends in her running for her life and needing the Spirit Detective to do something drastic to save her. Heck one time she was almost turned into a mindless demon because someone thought it would be fun to use her as bait.

- Miss Responsible
While her sense of responsibility is admirable, it also tends to get in the way of her being a regular teenager. It isn’t so much that her sense of responsibility is over developed so much as she has an extreme love for rules and following them. It doesn’t occur to her that often to bend them or even flat out break them. She was entirely stunned when she hit Mr. Iwamoto despite the fact that it was in self-defense at the time. Rules, expectations, and codes of conduct she follows them to the letter as any responsible citizen would, it can be sort of boring and cause some interesting arguments with friends that aren’t quite as concerned.

- Extremely attached to Yusuke.
She is extremely attached to Yusuke. When Yusuke died the only people to even possibly more grief stricken than her were Atsuko and Kuwabara although it’s sort of hard to tell who was distressed more. A case could probably be made that she is somewhat obsessive with wanting to know when he’s going on a case and wanting to be the first to know, although she isn’t one of those creepy obsessive girls that would kill him if she couldn’t have him. He just means everything to her and she doesn’t like seeing him injured or dead okay.

- Sympathetic/Sensitive
Normally, this would be a good thing, but it leads to her sympathizing with enemies of the Spirit World. It isn’t exactly the best trait to have as it could lead to her potentially being manipulated by said enemies if they had the presence of mind to do so. Honestly, she’s something of a sucker for a sob story.

- Nag
She does not shut up about things that she thinks a person should be doing. Mostly this applies to Yusuke who just about never comes to school. But she will fairly regularly launch into a short tirade about how his lacking attendance makes her look bad as class representative and that she’d like to see him more and that he can’t expect to get a good job if he flunks out of the eighth grade. She only nags because she cares.

- Shuts down when overwhelmed.
In situations where the sensory information becomes too much Keiko will slip into a sort of trance/hallucination where she is dreaming and currently at school like she should be. If she isn’t brought out of it quickly she becomes entirely catatonic and as such completely useless to those around her.

- Has a tendency to say things she doesn’t mean when angry.
Usually Keiko is very good about the whole thinking before she speaks, but when she’s angry and/or was just the victim of Yusuke’s latest prank she tends to say things in the moment. One of her most famous was after Yusuke flipped her skirt and she said “People like you should be strung up in the street” she didn’t actually mean it but she was mad enough that her usually filters didn’t kick in. It’s something of an unfortunate curse.

Personality: Howl prefers his reputation to be quite blackened and suspect. It gives him the ability to avoid major responsibilities, and balances the parts of him he finds (sometimes rightly so) irresistibly impressive. He absolutely is a charming man and certainly is good at impressing women and men alike, but he has such a fear of commitment that he “slithers” out of any long-term responsibilities that approach him. As a result, he had broken the hearts of many a young lady, and he continues to be absolutely terrible to pin down for any difficult requested task.

It is a very deliberate method to Howl’s madness. He knows that he is incredibly soft-hearted and weak to sympathetic causes, meaning that he will not charge his clients nearly enough when they ask for his help. He is, after all, very literally soft-hearted. But when the king calls on him for too many tasks, Howl tries very hard to have his reputation scorned and blackened, in order to make clients wary to trust him with serious and dangerous requests. He sneaks his way out of heavy responsibilities this way many a time, though he can hardly escape all of them and is often subject to repercussions. However, with Sophie to balance him out, he is less able to get away with his hair-brained schemes no matter how decent his reasoning is.

And his reasoning is in fact quite sound. Howl is an extremely intelligent man, with a lot of magic power and knowledge. With his thorough understanding of how to work with spells and how to be extraordinarily careful with wording, he is able to do spells quickly and in a very slapdash way. He has the raw talent to be swift in working a spell and has none of the repercussions that most other witches and wizards would have. He is careful, and redundant. And those two things make him extremely powerful.

All of his skill and prowess certainly don’t do anything to help deal with his swollen ego. His vanity is so prominent of a trait that even when Howl is forced into other forms and experiences, that is the trait that shines through most brilliantly. Though Howl is not ignorant to the world around him, as Calcifer put forth (“Too wrapped up in himself to see beyond his own nose”), he is certainly a selfish sort. He is all too focused on his appearance most of the time, spending upwards of two to three hours in the bathroom to improve his appearance. So much so is his obsession with his looks that Michael doubted he held any true affection for anyone unless Howl actually forsook his appearance to see someone. So great is his vanity that he will spend far too much money on clothes instead of food, even giving clothes to those he will be seen with in order to look as good as possible.

Howl is a cowardly sort, or so he’s convinced himself. He is actually quite brave under dire circumstances, he knows, and so he set up many such situations in order to motivate himself. For example, he left the way to Wales open for the Witch of the Waste to attempt something in because he knew quite certainly that he would attack her in a fit of rage if she started something there. He set up many such roundabout weak points in order to get himself motivated to do what he knew he needed to get done. By promising himself that he won’t do something and acting in great lengths to avoid it, he often gets himself in precisely the right situation to address the problem he has been avoiding. It’s a very bizarre reverse psychology that Howl takes, and it is as hair-pullingly frustrating to those around him as it is perfectly sensible to him.

In spite of all of his cleverness and intelligence, Howl is still completely spoiled. His tantrums are so incredible that could rival the ferocity of a child’s, often wasting magic to amplify his sulking with deafening sounds and green slime. And just as swiftly as he is to throw a fit, he is just as quick to turn absolutely chipper when he’s getting his way. Where most people don’t challenge him, he takes every chance to bicker with Sophie, who is absolutely not afraid of him and likes to pick fights with him. And he enjoys that about their relationship, as well, which is remarkable for someone that otherwise doesn’t even like to commit to anger or displeasure and would rather slither away from even the slightest amount of unpleasantness.

Howl’s relationship with Sophie is absolutely the most important part of his life. He is a very thoughtful, considerate and rather loving fellow to everyone, but Sophie in all of her bizarre rebellion against him has helped him more than anyone else ever has. While he shrugs off most of her sneers about his cruelty towards the girls he tries to woo, he expresses his hurt in her more serious accusations by acting defensive. It takes so much more work and so much more genuine feeling to get her approval, as she is so curmudgeonly towards him. Their relationship is a bizarre balancing act between their desire to get in each others’ business and mess with them and their desire to help one another in a most genuine sort of way. They’re said to almost perpetually be bickering with one another. And they’re said to prefer it that way.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Try to cover the good points of what they can do, their life skills (not necessarily powers, but things they're just good at). Go into their biggest fears and what they just can’t do.
+Very intelligent
+Good memory
+Extremely skilled and interpretive with magic (which extends to most other things)
+Ultimately has a good heart and good intentions
+Can be quite brave (when he convinces himself to be)
-He has to contort himself with severe mental gymnastics in order to get himself willing to do anything dangerous.
-Unbelievably vain and childish, prone to tantrums
-Does occasionally overthink things
-Many times can't account for a certain unpredictable person not falling in line with any of his plans (that person being Sophie).
-Howl has many fears; mostly the fear of consequences or, more severely, a fear of commitment.
-Howl is soft-hearted to a fault: he helps people and asks for far too little money in return for all the effort he puts into their problems.

Pokémon Information

Starter: The Litwick line has several elements and themes that match quite nicely with many different aspects of Howl. Ghost type has a close tie to the occult, and Howl is a wizard. Fire type is a good symbol for Calcifer, the fire demon that Howl once had a tie to and had fed his heart to. Litwick is finicky to raise, but Chandelure is quite a hard hitter. Its strength lies in its Special Attack - the fair equivalent of "magic". If Litwick is not an acceptable option, Howl's starter will be Abra.

[Howl starts this entry with a debonaire smile. It's almost impossible to tell that he had, just an entry ago, thrown a tantrum and demanded answers from the network.]

This is such a curious little place. I admit, I'm growing quite fond of its quirks. I understand a bit better how everything works, and it's remarkably simple.

It is still quite a headache that it's so simple, however. At least, in concept. These would be extremely complex spells, in their own right, but they need not be spoken with words or have spell components. It seems to come quite naturally to them.

Perhaps I will go along with this peculiar game. There may be something to learn, from these little "pocket monsters".

Third Person Sample:
“Here you go, Calcifer.”

Cutting the bread carefully with a knife, Howl offered a piece to the purple-glowing wax creature that sat eagerly in wait. It was a shame that it didn’t like to eat egg shells like its namesake; that would have made the breakfast a bit easier to deal with. Egg shells would mulch in the wild, right? Surely there was some animal that would find use for it. Howl then cut a slice of cheese for himself, and then for the Pokémon, taking a bite of the bread and cheese as he sat back and thought about where to go next.

He had recently won the first gym battle, only struggling initially until he caught on to the ideal tactics and methods of Pokémon battle. The Litwick munched happily on the treat it was being spoiled with, very pleased with just how much Howl liked to give it. It blinked at him in surprise when Howl spoke up again, “I wonder how much further we should go.”

Sophie hadn’t come to this strange world. She likely hadn’t opened the wrong door accidentally and wandered in, as Howl theorized he did. But knowing Sophie, it was only a matter of time before she arrived to complicate the situation. Howl smiled, attempting to be annoyed, and laughed as he failed to do so. “If she does arrive, that’ll make discovering a way out all the more complicated!”

Truth be told, Howl was beginning to miss the lot of them. The real Calcifer, Michael, and Sophie. He didn’t wish to find any of them here. But the more he pondered, the more he came to the same conclusion: the more inconvenient it would be for Sophie to be here, the more likely it was for her to arrive. Howl didn’t even finish the bread and cheese he cut for himself before he passed his share to the Litwick he nicknamed Calcifer and shoved his belongings back into the bag he received.

“I suppose that means we ought to hurry and get a Pokémon that can teleport or fly us, doesn’t it, Calcifer?”

Character
Name: Roxy Lalonde
Series: Homestuck
Timeline: Act 6, Act 6, Intermission 1
Canon Resource Links: Wikia

Personality: As a whole, Roxy is a very kind and caring person. She grew up on a colony of carapaces that was comparable to the slums with very little food for them and would often steal pumpkins from other points in time to help feed them. They weren't her species, but they were the only people she'd ever seen in her life and even if some of them would cause problems for her she'd still do what she could to help. Her willingness to help others not only extended to those in desperate need, but anything her friends needed as well. Be it help with romance or anything else, she's always willing to do what she can for them if they need her.

However that doesn't mean she's always sunshine and rainbows, despite preferring things to be light hearted and optimistic she had some depression and loneliness issues that she'd take out in an unhealthy way. At a very young age she became an alcoholic, finding her mother's left behind alcohol and said that it was like a passive aggressive dare she didn't mind taking. It's also revealed that she drank because she thought her mother drank and that it would somehow make her closer to her in a sense. Drinking away her problems was unhealthy but for the longest time she didn't care. She sobered up after she died the first time, deciding not to touch alcohol and still kept up her chipper attitude. This shows how strong she is, able to throw off years of addiction just on the thought of being with her friends and fighting on because she knew they needed her help and needed her with a clear head.

As big as her heart is though, she's not very good at thinking through all possibilities of her actions. Act first think harder about the consequences later is something that tends to cause problems for her friends. Attempting to get Jane to believe the Batterwitch was evil by rigging Jane's computer to blow up was probably the worst mistake she made, and when Jane did say she believed her it was too late for her to reverse what she'd already done and she felt horrible about it. And even still later, once she finds out that Dirk might make a move for Jake she tells Jane that she has to tell Jake how she feels otherwise she'll lose him. On one hand it's helping Jane, but on the other if it had succeeded it would have hurt Dirk.

Which relates to another problem she used to have. At times she could be selfish and tried too hard to make herself happy. This was most shown in her relentless flirting with Dirk despite knowing he wasn't interested in women, and she even went as far as to flirtflarp with Dirk's AR whenever he wasn't around. It obviously made Dirk uncomfortable and she was fully away of that, but she never stopped to think about it because she was in love with him and didn't take his feelings into as much consideration as she should have. She regrets this later, upset at herself for trying to push him the way she did.

How much she cares about others is almost directly proportional to how much she has issues with herself and her past actions. She acknowledges that drinking was a huge problem and she made a lot of bad decisions in the past, and it's harder for her to forgive herself for them most of the time. The one time she accidentally fell off the wagon and got drunk it wasn't her fault since she was under a mind altering candy, but she still blamed herself for it and was too ashamed to talk to Dirk for fear he'd be disappointed in her. Despite him being right there next to her, she couldn't bring herself to say a word to him and instead used Jane who was talking to him to relay messages. She acknowledges her mistakes, but she's more likely to be harder on herself than she is on others.

Roxy can also be sassy and laid back in most situations, she doesn't usually freak out or panic even when captured unless her friends or others are involved somehow. If something's wrong with her friends she's more likely to worry or be afraid, such as her being so desperate to run and hide from her friends gone Trickster mode that she resorted to messaging Condesce for help despite just escaping from her prison. However the next time she's in prison, despite being faced with the threat of multiple painful deaths if she doesn't comply with orders she has no problems sassing mind controlled Jade and taking the whole thing as if it's no big deal. She's casual and laid back and not even the least bit intimidated by the threats. She even goes as far as casually saying that the task sounds too hard and Jade may as well start killing her repeatedly and getting it over with. But she complies with the wishes anyway because despite it all, Roxy loves a challenge. If something seems like it would be interesting and fun to try and conquer, she'll be all over it and Jade even calls her out on this when she tries to brush it off.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+Due to her friendly laid back nature, Roxy makes friends fairly easily and will go to any lengths possible for those friends to make sure they're safe and happy even if it means inconveniencing herself.
+She's a highly intelligent girl for her age, considering herself a woman of science and a totally awesome hacker. Even in the past when she had her drinking problem, she could still hack rather successfully. Plus she's entirely self taught.
+Also imaginative and high spirited, she goes as far as writing her own stories with illustrations (no matter how crappy) that are always full of excitement and magic.
+Tends to not hold grudges too seriously, and can be willing to put aside differences for a greater cause. Despite her constant antagonism toward Condesce, when she was in trouble and trying to hide from her trickster friends she actually went as far as asking Condesce to help her because her friends went crazy.
-As much as she always tries to help her friends, more often than not her "help" can cause more harm than it does good. She has good intentions, but it could be bad for one or more of her friends instead of having it's desired effect.
-She can be too forward and a very flirty, even when she knows the other person isn't interested in all. Such as was the case with Dirk and she later felt guilty for how much she'd come onto him despite knowing she shouldn't have.
-She can also be a little squeamish at times. She was unable to kiss Jane to revive her because she was too grossed out by the blood.

Third Person Sample: Roxy stared down at her gear as she finished typing, wondering if there was anything else she forgot to add in that she should. The basics were covered and a shout out sent out for any of her friends if they were around, so that seemed about all that needed to be done. She hit post and slipped the gear into her bag for now, she'd check on it in a couple minutes once she'd finished eating. Toto the Totodile was already scarfing down half the bento box she'd laid out for them and she couldn't help but grin as she reached out and scooped him up into a hug. "Hey, I know you're hungry lil' guy but you gotta leave some for me too. I'm totes starved right now, lots a shit happened and I never got a chance to sit and have some food."

The pokemon looked a little guilty at hearing that, snuggling up to her and settling obediently in her lap as she let him go to start on the rest of the food. It wasn't so bad really. The food or the situation. She could think of a lot of worse ways to be stuck right now and even if she didn't seem to have access to her sylladex or weapons she wasn't worried. Her void powers were gone too, but she kinda sucked at those anyways so she can't see that as a very big loss overall. All that really mattered was the present, nothing would get done if she was too focused on the what-ifs and whys. There were other people around in the same position as her, and none of them had been horrible murdered in different ways yet so she can only assume the batterbitch had no knowledge of this world. Which was for the best and she hoped it stayed that way, Pokemon were too cute and awesome to be slaves to her. They'd totally kick her ass any day of the week.

Finishing the food and trailmix already, she realized it probably wasn't such a good idea to scarf everything down at once. Even if it'd been a day or so since she'd last eaten who the hell knew when the next time would be. According to the map it would be a while before she managed to get to the next city. "Man, this kinda blows."

Toto glanced up, sensing his trainer's distress as she let out a sigh. Her slight frown was quickly replaced with another smile as the small pokemon reached up to pat her cheek, and then got curious and starting tugging on her god tier mask. "You wanna know why I'm wearin' it, do ya? It's a pretty awesome story of how I got it, with equal parts being totally lame. But ya know, I don't really need it here since they gave me a spare change of clothes and everythin'. Don't wanna know how they got my bra size for the spare undies but whatevs." She really, really didn't want to know and was more than content thinking it's just magic.

With Toto looking confused she just laughs and gives him a hug before reaching up to undo the cloth from around her eyes. "Think it'd look better on you anyway." And to his great pleasure, she tied the eye mask around his head tight and clapped as he gave a little hero pose with it. "Oh yeah, you're totes a major hottie now. I'd like to see those girls stay off of you when you're rockin' that mysterious mask you've got goin' on."

He jumped into her arms happily for another hug as she laughed. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad even if her friends weren't around. She'd made another one pretty quick, and they'd be bound to show up eventually. She should just face this new challenge thrown her way and see what comes of it without worrying too much.

Series: Power Rangers Ninja Storm
Timeline: Post the Ninja Storm team up in Dino Thunder.

I would like Dustin to keep his previous memories at Route 29. (Would Dustin have Kelly his Sandile at the level she was previously at before I idled out? And what would happen to the eggs he had previously in his possession?)

Personality:To put Dustin's personality bluntly, he's a people person. Overly cheerful, he's as friendly as someone can be saving the world. He is the "comic book geek" of the Wind Rangers, and was a fan of previous Rangers, who were considered urban legend, visible when they are first given morphers and he is the first to morph and (in turn) show Shane and Tori how to morph. He is somewhat naive and gullible as he has been used by one of Lothor's nieces Marah, but still retains his good natured outlook on life. Dustin has a bit of sympathy for Marah as they are both over looked by their colleagues and consider stupid by the others. Dustin actually will try to cheer up anyone down in the dumps, even if that person happens to be an enemy. He is very close to fellow Rangers Tori and Shane, having been childhood friends with both of them. Despite this, others tend to look down on him being a complete goofball and even a fool as stated by the Rangers' enemy Lothor. Dustin takes everything in stride however, and very few things bother him for very long. What he lacks in perspective or smarts, he makes up for it in heart. Dustin believes that most people are generally good and trustworthy, even if their previous actions might have you look otherwise he feels that there's good in almost everyone.

However if his trust is betrayed, Dustin has a tendancy to second guess himself particularly if his friends tend to doubt him. He also is very close to his father Jake, claiming that he taught him everything he knows about racing and motorcross. He also doesn't see anything wrong with using his own powers with helping non-Ranger friends such as his boss Kelly when they are in trouble. He firmly believes that his greatest ninja skill is his instinct. His bad side tends to rub off on the fact that he can be too trusting, which can backfire on him. He also likely has a problem with people never taking him seriously, but at his heart he's a kind hearted person who just tries to do the right thing.
Strengths/Weaknesses: His strengths include:
Being a friendly and outgoing person
Polite and always believing in others
Very loyal to his friends
Extremely brave in the face of danger.

His weaknesses include:
Being too trusting, particularly those who would use his trust to hurt him and his friends
Tends to act more by instinct rather than with his head
Hates being being considered a goofball.

First Person Sample: Okay, dudes this is really weird. This is no morpher, but at least I can talk to people on this thing. Hi, everyone! I'm Dustin. I hate to bug you guys but can someone tell me how I got here? The last thing I remember was that I was back at the Academy and I'm here... With this weird crocodile thing...

Sandile!
Sorry little dudette.

So if anyone can help out, it would be appreciated. Man, I really miss Cam at a time like this. He'd know what to do here. It's weird being without Shane and Tori and everyone else. Without Sensei, it feels weird.

Third Person Sample:

It had been only a few minutes since Dustin had woken up in New Bark Town, and already he was getting antsy. He hadn't seen anyone he recognized in the town: no Shane, Tori, Cam, Hunter or Blake. Not even any of the Dino Thunder Rangers. He was sure Cam or Tommy would have known what to do, but Dustin was pretty much lost. Though he wasn't exactly by himself though. A small brown crocodile creature with black stripes followed him after he had accidentally pushed a button on a small red and white ball, out she came out. And once out she wouldn't stop following him...

So they decided to explore the area to see what was hidden. Dustin didn't want to go too far in case someone needed help, and Sandile was hesitant to leave Dustin's side anyway. She was forceful like that. “Hey little dudette. See anyone?” Sandile shrugged sadly as best she was able to, seeing as she didn’t have shoulders. “Hey it's okay! Maybe my buds just went ahead. This place kind of reminds me of a game I used to play when I was a kid.” Almost immediately, Sandile's mood perked up.

“That's the way!” Dustin gave a small smile to Sandile, who returned said smile. The pair were two of a kind it looked like. “You know... You kind of remind me of my one friend and boss: Kelly. How about it? Would you like me to call you that, instead?” Sandile answered by somehow jumping onto Dustin's dirty blonde head. “Well, that settles that. Let's see if anyone can help us out, okay Kelly?” Kelly squealed in delight (or as much as a crocodile pokemon could). Though they might have looked downright strange to outsiders, Dustin ignored any looks towards him and Kelly. After all, sometimes you just had to trust people.

Character
Name: Kairi
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Timeline: Post KH3D
Canon Resource Links: Series and Kairi’s own Wiki page :)

Personality: Though Kairi acts mainly as support and a concept of home and love for Sora, she is still a person all to herself in the Kingdom Hearts games. She is cheerful, kind, devoted, and happy. When we are first introduced to her in the original game she can appear very bold in certain situations, but she doesn’t seem to make stupid mistakes or be thoughtless in her decisions. It’s probably better to say she is courageous and spirited, and that she will do anything she can to help a friend. This even means putting herself in danger if the need arises. Kairi seems to make friends easily and be very easy to get along with. She has a very gentle and compassionate nature that seems to draw people to her. Kairi is also fairly adventurous and energetic, but she also holds the idea of home and safety dear to her heart.

She is brave, loving, mature, and thoughtful. When faced with adversity, Kairi can be stubborn and determined, so she always seems to come out on top. This is probably because she has her own strengths, even though she rarely fights, and also seems to have very good luck. Having incredibly loving, strong, and selfless companions in her life also makes it easier for her to get out of scrapes. She’s a bright girl, knowing when to push forward and when to wait patiently. When she saw an opportunity to help Sora return from becoming a Heartless in Hollow Bastion, she threw herself in harm’s way to save him. But when she has to stay behind in Traverse Town and wait, she does so without too much complaint. She simply gives Sora her good luck charm and tells him to bring it back, her own way of saying “Don’t get hurt.”

In Kingdom Hearts II, Kairi becomes a bit quieter, probably due to the disappearance of two of her best friends and the loss of some of her own memories. She seems to only hang out with Selphie at this point, but it doesn’t make her any less of a good person. She is still devoted, loving, and kind, just a bit more introverted than what we saw in Kingdom Hearts I. She’s seen a lot, and is probably more mature than most girls her age. When her memories of Sora start to return, we begin to see some of the fire from Kingdom Hearts I return. When Axel comes to kidnap her, she doesn’t go quietly, escaping from him and ending up in Twilight Town. She immediately makes friends with the TT kids, but eventually she is taken to the Organization XIII headquarters against her will. Even though she herself is in danger she worries for Sora, and when she is presented with an opportunity to escape, she takes it even though she can’t be 100% sure where it will lead her. When presented with an opportunity to fight and protect Sora, she jumps into the fray without hesitation, despite little battle training. Kairi is not a girl to be messed with when her loved ones are at stake. She’s feisty and fierce, and you really don’t want to make her mad. Since I am taking her from the end of KH3D, she is now being trained by Riku to use her keyblade, and more than likely takes her duty as a keybearer VERY seriously.

Kairi is very important to both Riku and Sora, and vice versa. She seems to share a very special bond with Sora though, and while Riku cares deeply for her, she does not seem to hold the same feelings for him. He is a dear friend, but nothing more. Sora is the one she seems to have a crush on, as she suggests the two of them leave the islands by themselves in the first game.

As one of the princesses of heart, Kairi’s heart is one of pure light. This lends itself to a sort of ‘pure’ personality. She feels negative emotions and has the capacity to be angry or sad, but really doesn’t seem to really hate anyone or be influenced by darkness. While it’s not the complete source of it, it’s probably one reason why Kairi has such a bright disposition, a never wavering sense of hope, and is so easily able to make friends with the new people she meets.

All in all, Kairi is a very special and good young lady. Without her, I don’t think Sora or Riku would be half as strong as they are.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Kairi’s strengths lie mostly in her personality and friendships. She is a girl who others take to easily, and even though she spends most of her time with Sora and Riku on the islands, she still has other people she can rely on. She’s witty, smart, friendly, and quick-thinking, which means that we tend to see her as more of a planner/thinker rather than a doer. But that doesn’t mean she can’t get the job done. When she sets her mind to something she is nearly unstoppable.

As for physical skills, she is training to use a keyblade, so she’s build some muscle. If she was handed a sword or weapon akin to it in Route, she might be able to wield it with some precision. She’s crafty, and can sew, as well as cook and make rather awesome lists.

When it comes to weaknesses, Kairi isn’t without her own set. She’s not particularly buff or strong, and she also has no grip on magic. Not that magic would help her here, but still. She’s slender and thin, so she’s not exceptionally strong. No bench pressing Snorlaxes or anything. Her kindness can sometimes get her into trouble, and while she’s not gullible, she is trusting. This could land her in hot water.

While her love for her friends indeed gives her power, they can also be used against her. If Sora or Riku was in trouble, she wouldn’t think twice about getting herself hurt to save them. If anyone was out to get her, her boys could definitely be used against her.

First Person Sample: [Video]

Hello? [Kairi gently taps the screen.] Is this thing on now? Ah, okay, I think it’s working now. [She smiles now, and levels the screen so the picture is clear.]

I don’t know if anyone can help me. I’m new around here, and I’m not really sure where I’m going just yet. My name is Kairi, and I’m looking for my friends. Their names are Sora and Riku. Sora’s about this tall - [She reaches her hand just slightly above her head.] - and has brown, spiky hair. Riku is taller - [She reaches up, indicated his height.] - and has silver hair. If anyone has seen them, please let me know. I’m worried about them... they tend to get into a lot of trouble when I’m not around. [This last part is noted with a little hint of good natured teasing]

[At this point, a plump little Spheal makes itself known from the ground with a squeak of its name. Kairi kneels down to pat it on the head.] At least in the meantime I have this little guy. I don’t know much about this new world, but so far, it’s not so bad with you here.

I wish I knew where that music was coming from though.

Third Person Sample: She’d seen other worlds, and she was not surprised in the least that they existed. But that didn’t make it easier when she found herself plunked down right in the middle of an unknown land without much idea of why she was there or how she’d gotten there. It was a good thing Kairi wasn’t one to panic under pressure.

Thankfully enough, a few things had been explained so far. Even though Kairi was more than sure that the woman in the house where she’d woken up who was claiming to be her mother was indeed not the real thing, she had been kindly enough and Kairi was at least grateful for the gear and supplies that had been offered to her in a neat little backpack. She’d accepted them with thanks, and once she had changed into acceptable day clothing that were not the PJs she’d woken up in, she ventured outside to see if anything or anyone looked familiar. No sense in summoning her keyblade unless it was necessary, though she would soon find out that wouldn’t work anyway.

Asking the man who claimed to be a ‘Pokemon Professor’ hadn’t given her much more information on HOW she’d gotten her. He’d been more than forthcoming with information on what exactly a Pokemon was, and the fact that she was now supposed to catch the little guys, make friends with them, train them, and battle them, but other than that many of her questions remained unanswered. For example, where were her friends. From the moment she’d woken up they’d been on her mind, but she’d had not time to search.

Now that she had her ‘starter Pokemon’, a plump little creature called a Spheal, she could at least take some time and explore the town. She’d decided to carry the little guy in her arms instead of keeping inside that Pokeball. While the professor had tried to explain to her that it was more than comfortable, Kairi just didn’t like the idea right now. Unfortunately, searching New Bark Town turned up no sign of Sora or Riku. Not even Lea or Yen Sid were around. Finally it seemed like using the PokeGear might just be her next step. Leaving the town didn’t scare her. With no heartless around, she was more than capable of exploring on her own, but if she had some sense of a destination it was a heck of a lot better than wandering around aimlessly.

“What do you think? Should I try it?” she asked, setting the Spheal down and taking the device out. Of course, she didn’t understand the enthusiastic answer, but she smiled all the same. “Yeah, I think so too. Let’s give it a shot.”

Plunking herself down in a comfortable spot, Kairi pushed her red hair from her face and tried to record a message.

Character
Name: Merida of DunBroch
Series: Brave
Timeline: End of the film
Canon Resource Links: Merida’s Disney Wiki page

Personality: When taking into account her being raised in a time, place, and culture. The best way to describe Merida would be to call her a cocky Prince. As the common notion of princesses being quiet, obedient, wallflowers, is something that Merida is incapable of being. She knows who she is, and she is not afraid to show it. Which has caused her to butt heads with her mother on more occasions than she’d like to admit these days. When you have parents as proud, loud, strong, and powerful as Fergus, and commanding, diplomatic, and intelligent as Elinor, its little wonder that Merida has developed into the wilful and wild woman that can be seen today.
However it took her mother’s domineering need to get her to become a princess worthy of being a queen, and her own need to be her own person, that caused an event that would lead Merida to become the woman that not only she longed to be, but that also her mother wanted her to be.
After the initial shock of her mother becoming a bear, Merida is able to recover quickly, immediately treating her like she had always treated her mother, by talking back to her and getting frustrated when her Mother doesn’t listen. Even when finding out that her brothers had become bears too, instead of freaking out she just took it in and worked with it to help get her out of the room her father locked her in.
When she’s allowed to be herself, she is a bright, friendly, and eager person who is never afraid of a challenge. Merida would try to tell her mother things she had done, to see if it would impress her, the first person she told about climbing the fire falls was her mother, who was to busy working on things to properly listen, even though her brothers were beyond impressed, and her father pointed out how only the bravest kings would climb the falls to drink from them. Since the end of the movie however, Merida has reached a point where she understands where her mother is coming from, and while no doubt her mother can still get on her nerves, they now both understand why the other feels the way they do.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths:
• Can get the attention of an entire room
• Accomplished archer
• Unwaveringly brave
• Loyal
Weaknesses:
• Being unable to do things her way
• Stubborn
• Tends to blame others for her problems

First Person Sample: [The screen flickers on the first face to be seen is a Teddiursa, behind him all that can be seen is red curls. It blinks at the screen before looking over his shoulder pointing to the screen.]
Teee-di
How’ra even doin’ tha- What! That’s us!
[Merdia looks surprised at the screen then excited as she realises how exciting this all is. Her Teddiursa beams at her and nods.]
How is it that a bear can show me this, but all that dozy Mom could do was hand it over with a ‘cheeri-o, have fun’?
[She keeps looking to the bear, clearly not realising this is broadcasting.]
So what did you do to make that happen? And why does it even do that? What kind of spell even is it?
[The Teddiursa starts to babble to her about the Pokégear, Merida blink and him, closes her eyes while shaking her head and holding up her hand.]
Wait, no stop. Forget it, I couldnae understand mum, so how am I meant t’understand you?
[The teddiursa just tilts his head to the side questioningly as he lowers the gear causing everyone watching to just see sky and red hair.]

Third Person Sample: To say that being brought into the Pokémon world was startling and a major culture shock for a young girl from a time when bows, arrows and magic were as technologically advanced as her country, even her world could get for the age. Would of course be an understatement. All of the explaining that the Professor and Mom had offered Merida, had fallen on deaf and shocked ears. After it had become too much for her to listen to, Merida, still holding the backpack she had pushed into her hands just turn and ran from the house. For the moment it was all too much and she needed be alone to think. She heard Mom call after her, but there was no looking back. Her feet hurt and she wished Angus was here to take her even further away.
Without knowing why, she ran into the long grass outside of New Bark, refusing to cry even after she trips over a branch and hits the ground with a hard yet dull sounding thud. She let out a gasped sob before sitting up and looking around her, to find herself face to face with a very displeased looking Rattata. She scoots back in surprise as the little purple rat bares his teeth threateningly, before she can throw the bag at it, the small Teddiursa from before jumps out from behind her and scratches at the Rattata until it scurries away not wanting anymore. Once it’s sure that the Rattata is gone and nothing else is going to bother them. The small bear turns to Merida tilting his head at her curiously. After a few moments, everything that she’s been told slowly catches up with her, and she gives him something like a thankful smile.
“You look like Harris when y’do that. I cannae go home. Can I?”
The little bear just shrugs at her, because he honestly doesn’t know or understand entirely what she means.
“Well that’s a lotta help.” She sighs deeply. Then looks around. “Well, if I’m stuck here…” she stands up and dusts off her dress, leaving the bag on the ground. “… Then I better make the most of it. Uh, you wouldnae know where to go from here, would you?”
The Teddiursa nods, picking up her bag, lifting it for her to take then points in a direction and starts to walk, holding the bag by the strap she follows behind him, looking around and taking in the new and not at all familiar landscape around her.

Character
Name: Kushina Uzumaki
Series: Naruto
Timeline: post-death (pre-series), as shown in chapter 504
Canon Resource Links:
-Wiki
-Manga (at chapter 497, when Kushina appears for her major plot points)
-Road to Ninja movie
-Ultimate Ninja Storm 3: Scenes/Extra Bits

Personality: One of Kushina's most durable traits since she was a kid has been her temper. She has a tendency to fly off the handle when offended or teased heavily. When she was younger, she was teased and called "Tomato" by her new classmates because of her round face and bright red hair. But after she started beating her tormentors half to death, they started calling her the "Red Hot-Blooded Habanero" instead. Even as she grew up to become calmer in her disposition, she's still prone to falling victim to her temper as shown when she punches Naruto for accusing her (the second time) of being the Kyubi in disguise. (This meeting was made possible by her chakra that Minato included in the Eight Sign Seal he performed to seal the Kyubi inside Naruto.) On this point, it can also be seen that her temper comes with a violent streak too. As an aside, when her temper peaks, her hair flies out from her head like this. Since it's more of a running gag than anything, would it be possible for this particular attribute to stay if she's accepted into the game?

As she was dying with Minato, she mentioned that losing the argument to seal half of the Kyubi's power inside Naruto was the first argument she ever lost. Given that and her fiery temper, it's not far out of the realm of possibility that Kushina's gotten in a fair number of arguments, even as an adult. And it's probably because of her temper that she won so many of them too. Though she does have a bit of stubborn streak, just like her son, which may also attribute to her number of won arguments. Though some may call it strong determination, it's just being downright stubborn and dressing it up in prettier/more positive tones. Beyond that, the databook says her favorite phrase is "Don't give up until the very end", which backs up this particular personality trait. (Not sure about translation since I don't really know Japanese, but it's what the wiki says.)

Despite this and her past as the Kyubi's host-- or Jinchuriki, as the host of any tailed beast is called-- she has managed to live a life filled with love. This led her to be a mostly cheerful person when no one's pissing her off. This can be seen in a lot of her interactions with others in the village as an adult, especially Minato. Kushina honestly cares about those closest to her too, especially her family. And with all that care and love comes her defensive side. If those she loves the most are threatened, she won't hesitate to protect them, best seen when she (along with Minato) gets between her newborn son and one of the Kyubi's longest claws. Granted, she knew she'd be dying soon anyway, but she still used up a lot of her quickly-draining energy to keep Naruto from becoming a tiny shish kabob.

In general, she comes off as brave and fearless. That's not to say Kushina doesn't have concerns, they just don't come out as much in front of other people. Now if her son, husband, or a very close friend vanished without a trace, then she might show some of her anxiety. But beyond that, she'll keep that side hidden to those closest to her, but still try and put up that strong front so as not to worry anyone.

She does have a playful side too. She can be a bit of a prankster and a troll, backed up by word from one of the databooks with some canon evidence too. For example, Kushina sees no problem in making her son guess who she is without any real hints beyond one or two subtle-ish ones.

Kushina also has a tendency to talk fast and a lot, marking her as a bit of a chatterbox. As a result, she has a verbal tic like Naruto's. In the original Japanese it comes out as (da)ttebane, and is generally translated to "y'know/ya know" in English. Both turn up at the end of her sentences, but mostly when she's excited, agitated, flustered, or experiencing some other heightened emotion. In her chakra-based meeting with Naruto (which she won't know about on arrival), she told Naruto she was trying to cut back on how often she said it, but it doesn't always work.

Under the right circumstances, she can also be a bit selfish too. This really only came up as she was dying and Minato told her of his plan to seal half of the Kyubi's power in him and the other half inside Naruto. She had been fully prepared to take the whole thing down with her and let her son and husband live on into a future where the Kyubi could return at some unknown point. Kushina yelled and argued that he should just leave their son as he was right then. Not wanting him to bear the huge burden she had taken on as a child. Not wanting him to be without any parents as he grew up.

On a side note, even though the movie she was in (Road to Ninja) took place in an alternate universe, her personality was mostly intact from her canon version. A few details were off, but most of the main parts had she and Minato survived still held true. Examples include how she would willingly put herself in harm's way to protect her son (defending those she loves most), getting furious/violent with Naruto when he disobeyed her (her nickname, Red Hot-Blooded Habanero, even stayed the same...), and teasing him about Sakura (her trolling side coming out there). With the second note there in mind, it really isn't much of a stretch to say that she would've been the harder-hitting disciplinarian between her and Minato, had they both lived on.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
STRENGTHS:
-She's believed to be a good cook as Minato prefers her cooking above all, as mentioned in the databook.
-She's strong. While mental strength a good thing in that she's able to hold her own in some pretty shitty circumstances and maintain a strong will, her strength also goes to the physical side with how she was able to beat the crap out of those who teased her. That mental strength also allowed her to fill herself with love and happiness, where a number of other jinchuriki fell victim to isolation and hating others.
-Given all her angry outbursts and even her final argument with Minato, it can be determined that is is a very passionate person. When she believes in something or feels strongly about a certain topic, she will stick to her guns and fight for it if need be.
-Kushina is quite loyal. She is loyal to her lost clan and village, Uzushiogakure. Loyal to her adoptive village of Konoha (despite them making her their jinchuriki). But most of all, loyal to her family to her last breath.
-Having been raised as a ninja, Kushina has been taught at least basic skills in survival and camping. Having survived somewhere into adulthood, she's quite likely been sent on a good number of missions requiring overnight camping and being able to handle rough situations on the fly and stay alive.

WEAKNESSES:
-As mentioned in her personality, her temper could easily fall under one of her weaknesses. Once she gets going, it's hard to calm her down until the object of her fury succumbs to her will. One way or another.
-She can be selfish sometimes, especially when it comes to preserving her family. This too was gone over in her personality, so I won't go into detail again.
-She seems to hate showing or talking about her fears and anxieties in public, preferring to keep such topics in hushed voices. (Such as asking her friend Mikoto if giving birth really hurt as badly as she heard.)
-Since she'll be losing all her chakra-related abilities, this will be difficult for her to adjust to. She'll still attempt to do typical ninja things (travel by trees, run/walk on water, perform ninjutsu techniques, etc.). Obviously, the results will vary from nothing happening to getting hurt when she fails.
-Kushina once said to the Nine-Tailed Fox "Neither of us have any sort of luck, do we? You keep the world at bay… but I keep you at bay." As he was lumping Kushina in with Mito Uzumaki, Hashirama Senju, and Madara Uchiha (all of whom he seemed to despise on various points of his sliding scale of hatred), it's pretty safe to say the feeling may have been mutual. Even though she had done as Mito advised and filled herself with love... eventually... she clearly couldn't bring herself to like the Kyubi, let alone love him. She knew he was a destructive force and was horrified on learning that a mysterious masked man wanted to extract him from her. Hell, the fact that she was willing to have him sealed back inside her to let him be dead with her for a while is pretty telling about how much she despised him. To be honest, it wouldn't be surprising if she didn't really like any kind of fox. Especially any with more than one tail.

[The video kicks on first to show a partially-rolled up and dirty white shirt. (Are those blood stains?!) The stomach below it has faint scarring in the shape of what could be a large circle, or maybe a semi-circle. At any rate, the video pans up after a few seconds over the shirt, hitting a wall of bright red hair at the shoulders. Dried blood long-since turned brown stained her chin and mouth. Then the full, filthy face of a very alive and pissed off Kushina Uzumaki.]

Is this some kind of a joke?! I woke up in a room that isn't mine with some woman claiming to be my mother who looks about my age shoving a bag of stuff in my hands. My husband is missing, my baby is missing, my chakra is missing. But that's not the best part, ya know! Some guy shoved this thing on me!

[She turns the video down toward a Vulpix that's staring up at her with innocent brown eyes. It lets out a happy cry and attempts to nuzzle up against Kushina's leg. But the video-- and Kushina-- move away from it quickly. When the video comes back up, her hair is flowing out at every angle around her quickly reddening face.]

If I ever find the guy who gave this to me again, I'm gonna kill him, y'know!! What a sick joke! So someone tell me how to get rid of this thing!

Third Person Sample: In this strange new world, she was alive. Minato was alive too. Even Naruto was here, all grown up. They could be a family just as she had dreamed. And when Kushina arrived it couldn't be clearer that they were meant to stick together. But their reunion would take time. Too much for her liking. For now, her only constant companion as she walked and ran (on the ground!) to meet her boys was the little fox-like creature she had been given on arrival. While she had been cruel in nicknaming it Kyubi, it wasn't at all like its monstrous namesake that she had kept at bay. Much to her surprise and relief, the little critter was very gentle until provoked into battle. It also managed to keep pace with her, and on the long journey to a place called Cherrygrove City. Three days she heard it would take.

Kushina grumbled each day, furious complaints that she could have made the trip in a third of the time if she had her abilities back. If only she could travel by the trees. When no one but Kyubi was listening, she'd lay out her complaints and express her jealousy that the little fox could do more than she could now. On the last night before reaching Cherrygrove, she told it a few stories. How she had once held a monster fox at bay. How she had stopped that same beast from killing her only child before allowing half of its power to be sealed in him. When she finished, Kyubi had curled up at her side, looking at her with eyes full of... sympathy. It was then that she thought that maybe she could get along with this thing. This... Pokemon. Maybe a little grudgingly at first, but with time... Maybe she'd come to not place her dislike of the demon fox on her new partner, no matter what species resemblance they shared.

Character
Name: Domri Rade
Series: Magic: The Gathering
Timeline: Gatecrash expansion
Canon Resource Links: Domri's wiki page

Personality: Domri is rebellious and is distrustful of rules, hierarchies, and authority figures. He seems to be able to trust individual authority figures given time, such as his clan's shaman, but his interactions with them have the undertone of "I'm only doing what you say because I want to", though he never actually says so, likely because he would get his ass handed to him if he did. Perhaps more accurately he respects certain authority figures. He has an affinity for wild creatures, being the only allies he had when he was younger, and he seems to trust them easier, as the quote from him on the card Predator's Rapport implies: "Other guilds say the Gruul are savages, no better than the beasts we live with. I say we've found friends who won't stab us in the back." This further implies to me that at some point he may have been betrayed by a "civilized" person, but nothing about this is mentioned anywhere, so it's just a theory. In any case, he doesn't dislike people or avoid being around them, simply not being completely open with them.

Unsurprisingly for a member of a group that lives by the rule that "the strong survive, the strongest rule", Domri doesn't like to show anything that could be construed as weakness: no fear, no self-doubt, and no emotional moments - grins and laughs are okay, hugging is not, although he did privately embrace the clan's shaman in relief that the man allowed him to become a full member of the clan even though his initiation wasn't done the normal way. He covers up his worries with bravado and redirects his fear into irritation. He's very much aware that he's not like the other members of the clan, being a twig rather than a bodybuilder, so avoiding the implication of weakness is definitely something that he aims for.

Domri considered himself to be a nobody before being accepted by the Gruul, merely a kid with an affinity for wild animals, and this has led to a desire to prove himself. It's known that all Gruul have this desire, but it seems to have led to a desire for adventure in Domri's case, likely because he lacks the physical skill to prove himself in battle and thus needs to prove himself through other great deeds.

Domri is impulsive and reckless, rarely thinking things through deeply. He's quite capable of introspection and forming short-term plans, such as how to win the battle that's in front of him, but he gives little thought to how he'll win the war, living more for today than tomorrow. His restraint has been fading since he became a planeswalker and learned of the existence of other worlds; even if he were to destroy the entire world or it otherwise went to hell, there are countless other worlds out there. He likes breaking things made by civilization, whether throwing a stone through a stained-glass window to make cool-looking knives out of the shards or just wrecking the ruins even more. This isn't implied to be uncommon among Gruul; it's one of the things that he does when he hangs out with his friends, and the flavor text on various cards references that trait amongst other members of the clans. Domri's described as finding the sound of the aforementioned stained-glass window breaking to be "sublime", which seems to be in line with the opinions of other Gruul.

Domri's planeswalker spark igniting was a turning point in his life; it gave him something special that no one else he knew had even heard of, and confirmed to him that there was a reason that he had always felt different. He's never told anyone about Naya, the other world he knows about, even though that world is the Gruul Clans' dreams come true: a world untouched by civilization whose inhabitants have no control over nature or the godlike beasts that roam the endless wilderness, unlike his home world of Ravnica, where every sea, mountain, forest, swamp, and field has been covered by city. This is partly because he didn't think that anyone would believe him, but also because it's something that's just his and is a way for him to be able to see and do things that no one else can, going back to his desire to have adventures and prove himself.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

+ Domri has an affinity for animals, to the point where his magic appears to involve nothing besides summoning, controlling, and enhancing them (and transporting himself between universes, but that's a completely different area). While he obviously won't have his spellcasting ability in Route, he has a lot of experience with fighting using other creatures as his weapons, so he'll have little trouble adapting to Pokemon battles, aside from being disappointed that he can't send thirty or forty of them at someone at once. And that none of them can swallow a village.

+ Domri has excellent aim while throwing things, born of lots of experience hitting animals, things, and people.

+ Domri's a fairly skilled knife fighter, but not exceptional. Considering that his official art shows him with a staff-axe-spear...thing, one can assume that he's proficient with it as well.

+ Domri knows how to scavenge for whatever he needs, and can create or procure weapons, armor, clothing, and food in any urban environment with varying levels of difficulty. He needs a knife? He'll toss a rock through a window and tie one of the shards to a stick. Arceus will be kept very busy blunting and making oddly brittle items on Domri's person. He's not quite as good in an actual wilderness, since "wilderness" on his homeworld means "ruined buildings that plants have overgrown", but he at least understands what he needs to do.

- Domri is a twig and isn't strong at all. If he's prevented from moving around in a fight and can't squirm free he's going to lose.

- Domri's reckless and impulsive, and getting more so as time goes on. This trait can only lead to problems later.

- Domri presumably survived much of his life by being a thief and has never had nor intends to have a "civilized" job. The Jennies will undoubtedly be wanting to talk with him before long.

- Domri likes to break things just for the fun of it. Nothing good can come of this.

[The video comes on to Domri twirling a Jenny's hat on his finger.]

No lawmages, no swords, not even any armor! How can they expect anyone to follow their stupid rules if they can't make people listen to them? All they have to fight people with is a dog! The dog looked like it had some fight in it, but all it took was Fleshripper spraying water in its face and it went down! [He forces himself to continue through his laughter, a proud "gatr!" in the background.] And then Fleshripper sprayed the Arrester, too! You should have seen her face when it happened! [There's another proud "gatr!" in the background. Domri grins and moves the camera to show a Feraligatr standing with its arms crossed over its chest, giving its best attempt at a smirk.] Oh right, Fleshripper evolved yesterday. He and Rubbleback were trying to see who could make the bigger hole in a building in one hit. Rubbleback was winning when-

Stop right there, young man! [The camera swings around to show a sideways view of a wet, hatless Officer Jenny and her equally wet and rather irritated Growlithe running towards them, two other officers in tow.] You're under arrest for destruction of property, assault on- ah! [A Water Gun comes from off-camera and the Jennies dive aside, although one of the dry ones fails to dodge and goes down in a torrent of water. Before anything else can be seen, the camera begins to swing around wildly as Domri starts running.] Get back here! Stop in the name of the law!

Keep your laws to yourself! [Domri sounds likes he's enjoying this.] I don't want them!

Third Person Sample: Domri finished scrabbling onto the roof and stood, walking to the peak and looking out at the wilderness surrounding the cluster of buildings. He grinned. This world wasn't as incredible as the first one he had went to - unlike that one there were buildings here and he thought that he could make out more in the distance - but it was still a huge wilderness. He'd already tried to planeswalk away from this world and failed, which was irritating, but there were worse places that he could be stuck in. More disconcerting was his inability to draw mana from his surroundings or from other places that he'd been to, which meant that he couldn't use magic to summon any of the animals he knew. Because really, the little settlement that he was in was the only piece of civilization intruding into this stretch of wilderness for miles. All he'd need to do would be to summon a wurm and the whole place would be gone in under an hour. Or even just a ragebeast. Actually, a ragebeast would be more fun. He would be able to watch it break apart each building bit by bit until there were so many holes that the entire building collapsed in on itself.

As if in response to his thoughts, the building that he was on trembled slightly. He made his way back down the roof and squatted at the edge. The baby rhino that that red-and-white artifact had summoned was backing up for another charge at the side of the building. Domri watched with anticipation. The building trembled again and there was a larger dent and more cracks in the wall, but no spectacular damage. The animal began backing up again.

"Are you going to ram that wall until it breaks?" Domri called down eagerly.

The animal stopped and looked up at him. It tilted its head to the side slightly before letting out an insistent "Rhy!" Domri got the impression that it was asking him to come down. The artifact that had summoned it had been given to him along with that bag - just given to him without asking for something in return, even though Domri wasn't part of that crazy woman's clan - so maybe the animal thought that Domri was its master? Well, if he couldn't summon anything he would need something to fight for him, and even though the animal was a baby it seemed pretty tough. He called down again.

"I'll come down if you can make a good hole in it!"

The animal seemed to understand him and let out an excited "Rhy!" before charging again as hard as it could. Domri savored the sight and sound of a section of the wall crumbling, broken bricks clattering as they fell into the small cloud of dust that had been kicked up. He was so focused on the destruction that he wasn't prepared for the building shaking more than it had before and lost his balance, falling with a yell of surprise. He hit the ground and rolled, the shards of glass in his armor breaking far easier than they should have. He lay on his back for a minute, breathing heavily as the edge of the dust cloud passed over him.

"Krokt that hurt."

The face of the baby rhino appeared in his field of view and gave a concerned "Orn?" Domri sat up and looked over at the destruction, grinning when he could see inside the building through the hole. He got to his feet, the scrapes, cuts, bruises, and blood on his body forgotten, and slapped the animal's head-plate above its ear-hole, sending up a tiny cloud of dust.

"Good job! That was wrecked! I bet that when you grow up you'll be able to smash through the whole building without stopping!"

The animal gave a happy "Rhyyy~!" and shook itself, dislodging chunks of rubble that had gotten caught on its back. Domri saw the pieces fall and a thought came to him. He slapped the animal's head-plate again and hung on as he leaned down to look it in the eye.

"I'm going to call you 'Rubbleback', okay? How do you like that?"

Rubbleback gave another happy "Rhyyy~!" and Domri threw his head back and imitated the sound. Still grinning, he looked around for ideas on what to do next. Should the two of them break some more stuff? No, he did that at home all the time, it could wait. His gaze settled on a path leading out of the settlement and into the forest. He hadn't had a chance to explore the first world that he'd planeswalked to at the time, and hadn't gotten around to going back for a second look yet. Here though he could spend as much time looking around as he wanted to and spend time somewhere with no signs of civilization. He would have to figure out how to get his magic back, but that could wait until after he'd had some more fun.

He ran over to where he'd left the bag that he'd been given, slung it over his shoulder, and started running straight for the path into the forest, calling to Rubbleback over his shoulder.

"Come on! Let's look around in the forest!"

Rubbleback charged after him and the two of them stepped onto Route 29 together. It wasn't the kind of adventure that Domri had been expecting to have when he'd first become a full member of the Gruul Clans, but where would the fun be in a predictable adventure? Whatever might happen in this world, Domri knew one thing: This was going to be wrecked.

Name: Ryoji Mochizuki
Series: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
Timeline: Just before hearing the MC's decision on December 31st.
Canon Resource Links: Canon | Character

While I've played P3P, I haven't had the pleasure of playing the femMC's route quite yet, so I won't be taking him from there-- however, I'll be pulling information to expand on his personality from his social link in femMC's route.

Personality: Ryoji sees opportunity in everything, be it in situations or in people. One might call him opportunistic, and maybe he is; he asks every girl he sees out when he first meets them, and manages to still smile if they reject him, since they could still be friends. It's why he's so flirtatious as well - along with the fact that, you know, MC's such a lady killler himself and Ryoji inherits the humanity the MC reflected on to Pharos once the twelve shadows have returned to him. He doesn't think back on the past (until all his memories come back to him -- and even then, he wouldn't worry over it for long here, since he's a full human without any nasty doomsday curse) and prefers to look at the future. Every day is something new and exciting to him, and he definitely tries to live each day to its fullest -- although, in all honesty, he'd be the first to give up his own "life" - in quotations because, as the anthromorphic personification of Death that he now knows he is, he can't actually die. You can't kill Death; you can only delay it, and his "death" would be the delay of the Fall, when Nyx comes to the world and despairs all of humanity into dying out.

And - maybe because he sees opportunity in everything - he's incredibly honest and forthright. If he doesn't know how to read a map for beans, he'll say it -- even somewhat happily. He's definitely not the kind of guy you should tell about your super secret crush on your best friend or whatever, since he'll end up spilling it to him without a second thought -- not with ill intentions, mind, but with only the best for both you and your best friend. He'll lovingly try to hook you two up and act as if you liking your best friend was the most common knowledge in the world. He's a bit of a blabbermouth, too; don't tell him anything you don't want spread around, unless you stress to him the importance of whatever secret it is you're telling him. He's also pretty gullible, despite the fact he has an air about him that says he knows what he's doing. (Spoilers: He doesn't.)

Especially with girls - although, maybe that's the one topic he does know what he's doing. He uses corny lines and genuine smiles to nail his seemingly insincere way of flirting with every girl and they never flop - although, if he were any other person, they would. When he finds a girl he's drawn to - incredibly drawn to, almost as if by fate - he becomes more serious and outright refuses dates with other girls. When he falls in love, he turns a little melancholic and wonders about himself more and - in the end, being the Appriser - feels heartbroken when things go awry because of himself. He doesn't want to hurt the girl he falls for (he's happy just being her friend, too, if she doesn't want to pursue anything romantic with him). Teasing, though, is on the table - in the form of gratuitous noticing of "couples" in the area.

Despite the fact he adores life and all it brings - friendships and love and things like that - he still gets incredibly depressed of being the cause of so much suffering in the days to come-- of why SEES had to fight, why everything's going to end-- he feels incredibly guilty over it, and while he has a great respect for life he doesn't have much respect for his own (considering he wants the easy way out for all of them involved -- that is, giving them an offer he's sure they can't refuse - killing him - in exchange for a peaceful death, unaware of the fact that Nyx is going to apathy them to death). He believes death to be inevitable and that one should just accept it; it happens to all living things, so why fight it? It's an incredibly melancholic look on it, even though he's incredibly upbeat, and surprises even his closest of friends.

And when he gets depressed - he gets depressed. He doesn't see any reason to fight, or any reason to hope, since death comes to all; his existing just brings pain and suffering. He falls down a (figurative) mountain of happiness and slams into a seemingly bottomless pit of despair surrounded by despairing spikes and despairs until he finishes his transformation into the Nyx Avatar by January 31st -- and the only reason he isn't despairing then is because Nyx is a neutral entity; it doesn't feel anything. He only gains the littlest of his humanity when - in battle - he switched to his true arcana, Death, and even then it's not a whole lot; he stays relatively monotone.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Charm. He's very charming, charismatic -- what have you. When coupled with his good looks, upbeat outlook on life, and flirtatious attitude, is it any wonder he tends to be popular wherever he goes?
+ Optimism. He's incredibly cheerful; not even rejection gets him down. The only thing that does is remembering he's the Appriser, a being that signals when the end is nigh. He's torn over it, because...
+ Humanity. He loves it. He loves life and all it holds-- despite basically being the anthromorphication of Death.
+ - Honesty. He doesn't like to lie and figures that everything should be known -- after all, we're all friends here, right?
- Hope. When worst comes to worst, he doesn't have it; it's replaced by a bottomless despair. - Coward. He'd rather take the easy way out - having the MC kill him so they forget everything and don't know they're going to be destroyed by Nyx - than try and fight.
- Gullible. Since he doesn't lie (as he has no reason to), he tends to think the same of others.

Along with something that's good to note but not exactly a strength or weakness -- he knows a lot about the tarot (being the personification of the thirteenth arcana, of course).

Name: Ten
Personal Journal: Don't have one!
E-mail: phonemonkey003 at gmail dot com

Current Characters in Route: None!

Character
Name: Xehanort
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Timeline: Pre-KH1, during his tenure at Radiant Garden as Ansem's apprentice.
Canon Resource Links: http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Xemnas Stuff can be found here! It doesn't delineate his history much (one would have to read up on Xehanort for that), but it does describe his actions in the games!

Personality:
I will mark where things begin sliding into speculation based on when he regains a heart on the game, assuming approval. It's long, simply because it's hard to pin down a personality when it can be summed up as 'completely unfeeling, unflinching villain'.

This is a difficult thing to answer in the usual fashion. Ordinarily when one speaks of 'personality', one means likes and dislikes, joys and hatreds, and Xemnas really doesn't have any of these. He does have a personality, by way of habits and quirks and behavior patterns, but emotion really doesn't come into the picture as a genuine thing. Not real emotion anyway. He can fake some of them believably, and all on the negative spectrum, the only ones he really remembers at all. He's good at faking fury, be it cold rage or hot anger, he can imitate hatred pretty well, and even manages to copy grief pretty well under specific circumstances, but things like joy and happiness - forget it.

He feels nothing. No remorse, no shame, no glee or disgust; no emotion ever stirs him.

...Which all in all leaves him amazingly efficient, logical, goal-driven and difficult to distract from whatever task he sets himself to. Not even curiosity sways him away when he's got a goal in mind, and in the pursuit of that goal there is no sacrifice not worth making. He has no friends - though in two and only two cases does he seem to even remember what friendship /is/, by way of Aqua and Ventus, or at least their armor and sleeping mysterious locations - and thus the loss of an ally simply doesn't phase him. As he considers himself peerless and entirely without equal (even considering his original, Xehanort, or his heartless, Ansem!), any 'peer' he has or any opposition are simply things to be brushed out of the way or bent to his will. Thus he often seems ruthless, cruel in his efficiency, but again - no emotion. He simply doesn't care about anything but what he wants.

'What he wants', being remaking all of reality in his image using the power of Kingdom Hearts, made somewhat difficult suddenly by interference from the outside. He rules the Organization in something like a meritocracy; those who are most useful have the most power but all must bow to his will. Xemnas doesn't consider anything else possible to be effective. He knows what's best, and having no heart means he entertains no doubts about this. He must be right, because considering otherwise would mean skepticism, doubt, worry - nothing he experiences. Nonetheless when interacting with others he doesn't behave like a robot; he manages politeness fairly well, and doesn't bother with much by way of insults or rudeness when dealing with others. The failures of others are met with cold calculation, as are their successes, but all of it is handled with almost absurd lack of malice. It's strange to call it politeness, but it's closer to how he acts than disinterested detatchment.

There's certain old habits, behavior patterns that suggest likes and dislikes, even if he really doesn't prefer one thing over another. As mentioned previously he seems to understand friendship and value it at least by way of 'old friends', but this might well just be habit. He seems to keep things neat and organized by way of habit alone, and living in a spotless white castle might well encourage that. It's nothing more than old patterns he'd never shaken off. He 'talks with his hands' when speaking for any length of time, using wide, sweeping gestures to further emphasize a point he can't put any emotion into. He has a terrible habit of simply rambling or over-explaining a thing when not even asked for more information. It's a bad habit, and one he shares with Xehanort.

Speculationy bits for the future: Xemnas is not human. He will become so upon arrival, with all that means, including regaining a heart - regaining emotions. This is a fledgling heart, with no set personality of its own to erase the Nobody self of soul and body, but it still does what hearts do, and allows him to feel for the first time in a very, very long time.

By and large this will not be a great and terrible shock. It will rock his intentions and goals quite a bit, as once you have a thing pursuing it (or getting rid of it again) seems fairly foolish. Being able to feel again, to feel a little burst of joy when things go right, or smoldering anger when they don't, may well alter his certainty that hearts draw their power from the negative, but only time will tell. He will VERY swiftly develop actual likes and dislikes, favoring the savory over the sweet by way of foods and gaining a fondness for what luxuries he can lay claim to, steal or purchase. Guilt and remorse are not things that will trouble him swiftly at all. Even then, he'll still prefer logic over 'following his heart', and frivolous silliness and stupidity will grate on him rapidly like nothing else.

Even with a heart, Xemnas will be a sober being, focused on whatever goal he sets himself to, and unfailingly polite even when terribly angry. Unable to leave, that goal swiftly will be simply being the best at this new task of 'pokemon training', all things bent to strength and power. It may well be that his first, and only, friend will be his pokemon starter, the bond all trainers feel for their starter a strange and powerful thing. He remembers what friendship is.. what it should be..

Strengths/Weaknesses: Try to cover the good points of what they can do, their life skills (not necessarily powers, but things they're just good at). Go into their biggest fears and what they just can’t do.

Weaknesses: Xemnas doesn't really remember how to feel emotion, and thus how to relate to other people beyond a vague idea of how it's supposed to work and the concept of shared goals. Even when he can feel emotion thanks to arrival in the game, it's still difficult for him to attach a lot of meaning to it, or to others. His certainty that he has no equals lingers, and utterly severs him from things like relying on friends or allies in any meaningful fashion beyond handing out tasks. (His pokemon MAY become an exception to this in time) Even now, other beings, be they human, nonhuman or otherwise, are simply tools to be used to further what he wants. This lack of building proper connections to other beings can cost him in dangerous situations.

Xemnas' tendency to plan and rely on logic can also cause issues, if things suddenly DON'T go to plan or someone surprises him by doing something he simply hadn't expected them to do, especially when those choices are motivated by intense emotions.

Likewise, in spite of having a hard time with emotions, Xemnas can ... fixate on an idea, much like his Heartless settled into obsession with the Darkness. Once he's made up his mind on something, nothing will shake him from that idea no matter how much evidence is stacked up against it. Xemnas isn't so good at admitting he's wrong, even to himself, and is willing to fight for those awry beliefs at any cost. (as best seen by the ending of KH2)

Strengths: In spite of being an emotionless and fairly ruthless bastard, Xemnas is a capable leader, able to weigh the strengths and weaknesses of his own allies against those of his foes, and calculate who would be best suited to handle a specific individual or situation. While he doesn't actually use this terribly often, willing to let his 'allies' risk life and limb doing things they simply aren't capable of, he can when he chooses to.

His persistence and favoring of logic might well be considered a strength; he's a good planner because of it, and can reason out most situations fairly well and fairly easily. Also, his complete and utter lack of feeling remorse, shame or guilt means he can take actions other people would stand back in horror of, without hesitation. Some might see that as a weakness, but it allows Xemnas to accomplish more than most people would be capable of.

[Audio only. The voice is a rather pleasant baritone.]

Good evening, denizens of this new world, human and pokemon alike. I am Xemnas. Perhaps there will be a few of you who recognize such a name.

[His pleasant tone never wavers; there's almost no emotional inflection at all.] This is a world I know little of. I have studied the information I have been able to find, and this little foal has been very dutiful in attempting to aid me in that search. [At this, there is a small, cheerful-sounding "Blitz!" in the background.]

If one could supply further information, or where to find it, I would be ... grateful. But tell me, countless unknown strangers, is it truly so that the humans of this world avoid combat in favor of asking their pokemon to do it for them? My small friend here seems incapable of fighting anything much tougher than a tumbleweed- [A protesting whinny this time.] -and yet I am to rely on it for my defense against all this strange world might strike with?

[It's thoughtfully said, as if this 'Xemnas' has no investment in the question or possible answers.]

Third Person Sample:

"Come here, little one."

There were few things Xemnas was certain of in this strange foreign world, but the little black and white foal seemed to be 'his'. His 'starter', if the information pamphlets were true. Its remarkable intelligence was noteworthy, as was its prompt obedience as it bounced happily over in a clatter of hooves as he beckoned it. It was easy enough to pick up, its - her, a quick glance confirmed - weight a negligable amount. She tucked up her thin, delicate looking legs promptly, content to dangle in his grip as he settled on the ground cross-legged and set her down on his lap. A 'blitzle', if Xemnas remembered right.

He usually did. His memory might be spotty before Radiant Garden, but after that, there was little he missed. "So you are to be my companion in this world, is that it?" Contact was important, when dealing with animals; touch could reassure, build trust. It likely worked the same for these not-quite-animals.

The small pokemon settled a bit more comfortably in his arms, making small sounds that seemed agreeing to his ears. So far, Xemnas had yet to ask something, or command something, that the blitzle did not promptly obey. The pokemon understood, as well as any of his dusks ever did.

The ex-Superior allowed himself a small smile. "Then as we are partners, I will let you in on a very dear secret, little one. Lean close, and listen, here. What do you hear?" He freed one hand carefully, and tapped it against his chest. Obediently, his pokemon put one small ear to the black leather jacket and listened, blue eyes wide, then turned her head upwards to stare at him as well, in obvious puzzlement, before twisting a bit in a remarkable bit of flexibility, to put a hoof against her own chest.

Yes, this 'blitzle' understood every word he said. Magnificent. "That's right, my small friend. It sounds the same, doesn't it? Your heart ... and my heart." His heart. His heart, and he was still Xemnas, not Xehanort. A theoretical impossibility without the aid of Kingdom Hearts.

But his statement somehow pleased the small pokemon, who promptly leaned against his chest again with one fuzzy ear, eyes sliding closed, content to listen to the sound without understanding why it was so important to Xemnas. He chose to keep why to himself.

Series: Young Justice
Timeline: S2:E20 - Endgame (post episode)
Canon Resource Links: Young Justice Wiki: Wonder Girl,

Personality: You really only need one word to describe Cassie, and from it you can trace the motivation that drives her other traits as well. That word is "eager". Eager to make friends, eager to do right, eager to make her mother, mentor, and seniors proud, eager to do well, eager to help her team, and eager to prove herself. Wonder Girl just doesn't really DO things halfway unless she really has to. Some of this can likely be blamed on her age, but mostly she just has a pretty typical "E"/extroverted personality type.

For starters Cassie is DEFINITELY the type that defaults to thinking with her mouth, not with her head, as the saying goes. She talks out loud to herself when she's trying to puzzle her way through a tough situation or personal dilemma. Second of all: She'd definitely be the one to rush into a problem without really thinking it fully through, or would possibly overlook an important but seemingly small or insignificant at the time detail. Only through intense training with Wonder Woman has Cassie gained enough self control and restraint over some of her louder and dominant traits to shape up into becoming Wonder Girl. There are still times even now when someone has to remind her "A little less fan-girl and a little more Wonder Girl." or you might hear the current team leader commenting that while her enthusiasm is appreciated it's-- or she's --not necessarily the right fit for the current job. Her strong desire to help probably stems from wanting to have the approval and attention of those around her, to belong and (again) to prove that she's got the chops to be a great hero as well. So in other words she and Korra would totally be BFF's.

Her heart is worn right on her sleeve, too. If she's genuinely disappointed it shows, whether she wants it to or not (she tends to get a little sulky rather than pouting). When she gets angry she uses it to fuel her fighting. Her admiration is plainly written on her face and in her words (Or, rather... her ATTEMPT at conversation. WHAT ARE COMPLETE SENTENCES, AGAIN? "THAT WAS AMAZING! You were like, like, PEW PEW! And then it was like SMASH!" -- Yep that's Cassie for you. No joke.). When she's happy she's HAPPY, and when she's nervous she's nervous, and babbles, but not the endless kind of babbling that you get from Kid Flash, more like the my mouth is moving and my brain is telling it to shut up but my mouth isn't listening and you really don't need to hear all of this, do you. It's either that, or a lot of those aforementioned incomplete sentences. Thankfully she can snap right back with a reminder to focus (either talking out loud to herself or from an ally nearby), and even seems capable of multitasking between fighting and making battle-banter. It's just that she fights better when she's focused on the fighting (imagine that).

So you see she isn't like most tough types who hide their emotions under a hard exterior twenty-four seven, but she's got a pretty good balance going since she's also not the sort to break down and give up in terror. She's always up for a challenge, ALWAYS, and she actually really enjoys the physical side of her "job". She's way too determined and busy being awesome for any of that crap. Plan goes south and the mission's security is in jeopardy? Take charge and get in there to warn the others. Captured by enemy scouts on her way to the rendezvous point? Kick their asses and regroup with the team leader. Keep a level head until then: There will be time for freakouts once she is away from the enemy and no longer a threat to the mission's success. This is

She was able to keep it together long enough to escape enemy capture, meet at the designated area, and THEN proceeded to freak out and chastise herself for ruining things by being careless. Clearly, though overall confident in Wonder Woman's training Cassie is also still aware of her glaring flaws as a hero (and a person) and is actively working on trying to overcome them at all times. She scolds herself like a person who should know better, further lending to a little bit of a good girl image. She always means well, but her emotions can get the best of her at times. She sometimes wishes she were more stealthy like the Batkids, and grumbled a bit to herself jealously about the flair and ease that Batgirl exhibits when infiltrating an enemy base.

Underneath the zealous behavior and upbeat, confident attitude Cassie DOES seem to harbor some doubts and uncertainties regarding her place on/usefulness to the team; something that is evidenced by her surprise when Nightwing congratulates her squad and she herself on a job well done, followed by the three older girls pulling her into a congratulatory huddle/hug thing and getting some amusement out of her dumbstruck expression.

I'm not clear on the specifics of her home life yet, like who her mother is or what she does for a living, or if either she or Cassie have any contact with her father (Zeus, yes, THAT Zeus), but she's a sweet girl who just wants to do the right thing, protect her friends, and have a good time while they do it if possible (see: laughing out loud as they escape their enemies clutches and certain doom; grinning excitedly in the heat of a battle that her side is winning-- or at least things are going according to plan, etc.). She IS still a fourteen/fifteen year old girl, after all. And girls just wanna have fu~un.

Based on that I think it's safe to assume that she has a good, possibly close relationship with her mother who is PROBABLY well aware that Cassie is doing the hero thing when she's not busy with school or what not (supported some by the fact that Wonder Woman has made reference to her mother being displeased about Cassie leaving the planet to accompany her to an intergalactic trial). She also seems to be very close to Wonder Woman, and I think she regards her almost like an aunt or godmother. She seems to be a little bit protective over her like a younger child who doesn't want to lose their guardian, but at the same time you have to expect she knows that the woman in red, white, and blue can take damn good care of herself (she taught Cassie how to do the very same, after all).

If you're ever in need of a "sometimes easily excitable but always dependable" sort for your team, Cassie's your girl.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

✔/✘ Energetic and Eager
Less of a weakness, more of a strength-- MOST of the time. Cassie is undeniably an "E" personality type. Outgoing, outspoken, brave, and incredibly determined. This is usually a plus for superheroes but she has been shown to get a little TOO excited in the heat of the moment (once when fangirling over Wonder Woman, then again when being careless during her escape on a mission). Usually she's easy to get back on track with a quick verbal reminder.

✔/✘ Wears her heart on her-- er... sleeve...
Despite not actually wearing sleeves (hurr hurr) Cassie is a very open individual. While it's implied that she might be capable of keeping secrets we never actually see her doing so, so instead I'm led to believe that she's probably a bad actress. She's probably mostly incapable of convincing deception unless it's all in harmless fun (planning a surprise party or pulling a joke on a friend). She's pretty trusting as well, for that matter. In one episode she's so stupefied by the betrayal of one of her team mates that she's too surprised to even react, allowing herself to be pinned without ever actually lifting a hand to fight back.

✔/✘ Eager to Impress and Please
While we don't see a lot of this in action in the show Cassie IS clearly eager to please and impress her seniors (Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Miss Martian, and probably several others as well). She means well and she tries hard, but this could easily become overbearing if she's not careful. She'll volunteer first or expect to be chosen for dangerous aspects of missions but sometimes fails to take her skill set versus others into account when there may be someone better suited for the job. She's also been shown to POUT when finding out that she wasn't kidnapped and therefore didn't get to (potentially) kick bad guy butt.

✔ Courageous and Determined
This is a strength all its own aside from being a possible weakness. For the most part Cassie has a level head in battle. No matter HOW tough the opponent is Cassie is always ready and willing to throw down. Even in the middle of getting her butt kicked she's more than willing to dive back in for more to help and/or protect her teammates in whatever way she can. She's not afraid to fight opponents who are armed, bigger, or stronger than her.

✔ Demi-goddess, trained by Wonder Woman
Even though her powers will be nerfed here Wonder Girl still has her training. She'd be one of the stronger "captives" in Johto because of the physical training that she's endured with Diana. Her super reflexes would also be lessened to normal levels but she would still have better reflexes than most, I think at least? She was trained in the Amazon fighting style and has knowledge of how to use a lasso.

✔ Friendly and Optimistic
She has a very upbeat personality and prefers to make friends, though friendly rivals are also welcome, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind a few people to go toe to toe with. With an open personality she's pretty easy to get along with, and is generally accepting of others.

✘ No real basic domestic skills
Long story short, Cassie can't cook or wash clothes. She doesn't know how to start a fire, and she isn't familiar with foraging. She'll be pretty reliant on modern conveniences and the kindness of others as she adjusts to life in the Pokemon world.

✘ Sort of ridiculous with her priorities at times
As explained above Cassie is not above pouting when she doesn't get included in the action. Where most people would probably be concerned about their mentor being kidnapped Cassie is both too confident in Diana and too put out to really express any concern right away. Instead her first reaction is to stick out her lip and fold her arms like a petulant child. She denies it when asked, but still...

✘ Sometimes overconfident
It doesn't matter if its a stealth mission or if the enemy is twice her size, Cassie will dive in head first unless told otherwise. While she WILL actually wait for orders, if there isn't a plan in place her first instinct is to go for it, trial and error style. She's confident in her abilities, her faith and trust in others, and the abilities of those around her. This is good, but it can also mean she'll put herself in situations where she's in over her head, and that can be dangerous to herself as well as those around her.

Starter: Riolu (Donna) - The same starter that she had in May. Here was my reasoning:

They're practically made for each other, honestly. They're both physical fighting types (with other special abilities), and Riolu's behavior is a perfect fit for Cassie's personality type. She would love a Pokemon partner that was physically able to keep up with her. Riolu's described as energetic, playful, and loyal, all traits that describe Cassie to the letter, and while she could bond with any starter given to her I think she would have the strongest connection with a Riolu.

[It hasn't been the most entertaining post on the network, that much is for sure. It started with a loud thump and a blur of colors, then for three minutes it was nothing but darkness, muffled voices, muffled footsteps, and background music. Finally after a while there's a shuffling noise, and the sound of fabric dragging against the microphone. The gear shows an inquisitive Riolu's face, who promptly looks away from the camera and to someone off screen.]

Rio!

You found it? [Comes the voice from somewhere in the direction the Pokemon is staring.] Nice going, Donna!

[When the gear changes hands a blond comes into view wearing an upbeat grin. She flops right there on the floor with her legs crossed and "Donna" getting comfortable on her knee.]

Hey guys, sorry if you've been trying to call me. I must've dropped my pokegear last night before bed.

[There's a slight grumbling noise from someone off screen, not nearly clear enough to make out if it's human or Pokemon, but it sound suspiciously like disapproval.]

Yeah, yeah, I know! I'll clean it up later! Geez... [She lets out a breath, blowing a few strands of her bangs out of her eyes with playful exasperation.] Anyway, so I heard there's a fight studio around here somewhere. We just got into town last night and I'm dying to check the place out. Training Donna is great and all, but I seriously can't wait to get back into training myself, either. [The look on her face is kind of smirky, like someone that definitely enjoys a good rumble. You wouldn't be far off with that guess.] So can anyone give me some more details on what we're looking for? Like, an address? I'd definitely appreciate it! Later!

Third Person Sample:

The face that Cassie made at her bento box as she sat on the side of the road (taking a break) was not the face of one who was either convinced nor impressed.

"Seriously...? They expect this to be enough to last for three days?"

Well, she supposed it could be rationed a bit. If she was careful then it might last her long enough to make it to this... Cherrygrove City or whatever it was called. She had played the games back home, of course, but she was a generation four kid. Her familiarity with Johto and Kanto went about as far as knowing the names of the starter Pokemon.

Truthfully she wasn't exactly convinced that this wasn't some sort of trick, though she was having a hard time coming up with an explanation for how Psimon could have captured her, let alone why he'd bother trapping her in an illusion of a Pokemon world. Surely if he had she and the others captive he could come up with something more nefarious than a children's video game.

Then again, this constant music is practically torture by itself...

Cassie thought to herself, chewing over one of the picked vegetables. That was another thing, why did they give her CHOPSTICKS? If this were a dream-hallucination-mind trap-thing then shouldn't she at least have silver wear? Seriously, could she really believe Psimon would pay that much attention to detail to keep things that authentic?

"Okay..." She muttered, putting the bento down to pick up the little round sphere with the star marking on it, rolling the tiny ball back and forth between her thumb and middle finger as she stared. "What would the boss say...? 'If you rule out the impossible then all that's left is the improbable.'?"

No answer, of course, making Cassie bow her head and shut her eyes with a sigh.

"Whatever, it's not like I've got anything to lose, right?"

She gave the button in the middle a press, surprised when it actually expanded-- had a brief laugh at herself for BEING surprised because isn't that how it's supposed to work in the games and the show, and felt a sort of nervous energy rush through her. Anticipation.

"I guess this IS pretty cool for a dream..." Her lips shifted into a grin and she gave the button another press and the ball a toss. "Okay, let's find out what I got!"

Character
Name: Tim Drake
Series: Young Justice: Invasion
Timeline: S02E20: Endgame
Canon Resource Links: Here
Personality: Tim Drake is the third Robin of Young Justice, and like his predecessor, he takes the role very seriously. While he doesn't have the natural confidence that Dick possesses, Tim doesn't shy away from responsibility when it's placed on him. He takes his work as Robin very seriously and does his best to complete the mission, even if it doesn't always go his way.

While not exactly timid, Tim can be a little too humble and polite for his own good. He's confident enough in his abilities and aware of the trust set on him, but he doesn't take credit for accomplishments he believes weren't his own. When Dick congratulates him on their first mission, he was quick to say that he didn't actually do much for the mission compared to the others before he was interrupted. Similarly, he keeps his professionalism even under pressure, and while he does get frustrated with certain teammates (like Arsenal), he still kept his objectivity in his report to Dick. He gets flustered and frustrated when people deviate from the original orders, but still manages to work with the situation presented to him.

He looks up to Dick as his predecessor, obviously pleased when he's recognized for his efforts. They're very close as well, both having been part of the same legacy, as well as Dick being his mentor who makes sure that he grows into his role. As a member of the team, he tends to value the protection of civilians over his own, prioritizing them even on the off-chance that he could get in trouble. This was shown when they rescued the hostages despite having only four minutes left for the self-destruction of the alien base. It was risky and could've killed everyone, but he deemed it a necessary risk for the team to accomplish. He's a natural leader as well, having led teams on two very different occasions without much protest from them. Of course, this doesn't mean there's no friction, considering Arsenal did blow up part of the lab they were investigating which had nothing to do with the original orders.

As Tim doesn't have super powers like most of his team nor the natural athleticism that Dick has, he relies heavily on close combat and weaponry. While not exactly reckless, when Tim gets into battle, he's quicker to attack up close than rely on projectiles. He's good enough that he can take on several smaller enemies on his own, but as he's still human, this backfires when he faces any metahuman stronger than he is.

Tim's quiet by nature unlike his predecessor, which becomes more obvious when paired with someone like Impulse or La'gann. He's more of an observer, though this doesn't seem to be the case when it comes to Dick, who he's more comfortable with chatting about things. With the others though, unless he's giving orders or telling them off for deviating from the plan, he tends to keep quiet, adding to his already serious personality. He doesn't question his teammates' quirks or their reasons despite their odd behavior (like Blue Beetle talking to himself or Bart's blatant disregard for mourning) unless there is a good reason to, just like Arsenal blowing up the lab in one of their missions which compromised them. Basically, unless he has to, he doesn't pry. It could be a byproduct of his own secretiveness, seeing as he doesn't exactly let others know his real name or civilian identity like the rest of the members of the Bat family.

However, if he is comfortable enough with people, he does exhibit some laxness. He can joke around and smile occasionally, and isn’t opposed to more physical forms of affection like a fistbump. He also can be a little more eager to talk when explaining something, especially if he’s proud of it, just like when he tells Jaime about what they discovered about the origins of the Blue Beetle. He’s also not a stranger to showing affection in public, like holding hands with Cassie while talking to Static.

Despite being humble though, Tim doesn't like being belittled. He shows minor offense at the idea that Nightwing was going to let him lead Gamma squad because it was considered the team with the easiest mission, only to be surprised when Nightwing tells him not to die instead.

There's not a lot stated in the actual show about him because he doesn't talk about himself as much as everyone else (or talk about himself at all). However, it's safe to assume that he has a close relationship with Batman, Batgirl and Nightwing, and may have also looked up to Jason when he was still alive unlike their comic counterparts. Seeing as Young Justice canon also makes sure that all the members of the team have their parents' consent in letting them be superheroes, he doesn't have the issues of hiding his secret from family members either. His closest friend on the team seems to be Nightwing as well, and he never questions his orders or his motives even when Nightwing hides secrets from him, showing that he trusts him.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Unlike most of the members of the team, Tim is still only human. That means that he submits to regular human limitations and cannot take the impact head-on like everyone else does. In fact, most of the time he has to keep away from the line of fire because he gets knocked out faster than the rest, making it hard when they’re caught off guard by a powerful foe. He’s also still learning, having been Robin for a year and a half; and a team member for only a third of that. It’s also shown in his stats that he is probably the weakest out of the newest batch of team members. He relies heavily on weaponry and martial arts over heavy hitting, as well as planning out strategies that highlights their strengths and weaknesses in order to protect the team. While he doesn't have Dick's natural athleticism, he makes up for it by fighting harder in a battle.

Tim is skilled with a staff, showing that it's his primary weapon against enemies in any situation. The tip of the staff is also electrically charged, possibly to give him an advantage to make up for his weaknesses, which he triggers depending on the circumstance. He's been shown to use exploding batarangs, tasers with grappling wires and smoke bombs among others, but only when necessary. Aside from these, he’s also a skilled hacker and a very good detective. He also has the stealth skills of a regular member of Batman’s team, using it on missions that require them to go undetected. Unfortunately, this backfires because he has less than stealthy teammates most of the time.

First Person Sample: That’s not ours. [Tim didn’t sound too happy, nor did it seem like he was the one who even started the video. He’s aware of it though, staring a little beyond the video as if looking at the videographer with an eyebrow raised, before he goes back to focus on the Swablu that was trying to eat the cake from the neighboring table. Whoever was taking the video seemed to be giggling, but by now Tim’s already up and moving to take the Swablu by the tail, earning a protest as it failed to reach its destination.]

Come on. You know stealing is bad. [He coaxes, and the Swablu only looks at him with pleading eyes. He doesn’t budge though, leading it back to their table.] No. [Firm. He gives it a reprimanding look.] You’ve had enough sweets today, remember?

[That doesn’t seem to help, and it merely sulks as it perches on his head, defeated. It could’ve ended there, but Tim sighs long enough before giving a weary smile.] I’ll get you some cupcakes later, okay? So don’t be like that.

[The videographer smothered some more laughs, earning a look from Tim, but the swablu for his part beamed and chirped, preening on top of his head and rested happily, content with the compromise. It gets a smile from Tim, who immediately wipes it off when he realizes the video was still recording, reaching over to shut it off.] Knock it off already! We need to finish out meals and head out. You have five minutes.

[And with that, the video ends.]

Third Person Sample: The first thing he woke up to was cotton in his face. Suffice to say, Tim was very confused. After all, he hadn’t been on a mission, had no reason to have cotton—much less in such amounts—littered anywhere, and it was starting to get into his mouth.

He reaches up to brush it away, wrinkling his nose in the process to get the cotton away from his breathing space by a fraction, only to be caught by surprise when it lifts itself and flies. Flies. That wasn’t really what he had expected.

"…Huh? "

"Blu! Swablu! "

He had a feeling this wasn’t going to be the weirdest thing he’ll see today. Tim frowns when he spots the bird, or what seems to be a bird, idly processing the fact that he was laying on the ground rather than a couch or a bed. Not only that; but the place itself didn’t look like any city he’s been in. Not even a town, he figures, because he can’t remember if he’s seen such simplistic and bright architecture outside of books or the computer. Kind of like a video game, though he thinks that part’s ridiculous.

He pushes himself up to a sitting position, forgetting the flying cotton bird for a moment in favor of checking his surroundings with wide eyes. The music is odd, though he figures that’s from a store somewhere, but the place…This was no good. He’s usually got a vague idea of where he is just by looking, only because he tries to remember landmarks and little details to make it easier. The cotton bird didn’t seem very pleased by the fact that he was ignoring it, opting to chirp then land on his head like it was a footstool, and he grunts at the effect as it settles down. It didn’t seem to be attacking him, the only plus he’s figured so far, so he focuses on trying to get information on this place. He was in uniform, which was the only thing calming him down as he starts up the holocomp on his wrist.

… Except that doesn’t work out, he realizes, when it won’t even start. Oh boy.

Dick was going to be worried. The team was going to be really worried. He resists the urge to bite his lower lip, a habit when he’s anxious and focuses on his options. Not that it was hard, after all, because his only option at the moment was to ask around and hope that his teammates will be nearby. This… was going to be weird.

Character
Name: Kurama
Series: Yu Yu Hakusho
Timeline: End of S3 (episode 94)
Canon Resource Links: Here's the wiki! There are light spoilers, I guess? Just to be safe.

Personality:
Unbeknownst to those around him, Kurama isn't entirely what he seems. He is actually leading somewhat of a double-life, that of the human, Shuichi Minamino, and of his true self, the demon, Youko Kurama. Aspiring to live somewhat of a normal life in the human realm, he constantly faces an internal struggle to suppress the latter's tendencies in spite of the benefits he gains when his demon form is taken - these such benefits including not only an immense power increase, but also a fine-tuning to his skills and abilities in general. It is assumed that no one in his immediate life knows of this secret other than Yusuke and company (in addition to the vast majority of the demon realm), and he intends to keep it that way for the sake of convenience and a sense of normalcy.

Unfortunately, he doesn't always hide the superiority complex he seems to have over humans, which he admits to Yusuke when he tells him about his growing up with Shiori. As such, he can get facetious, blunt and disinterested when it comes to his classmates or anyone outside of his family/Yusuke and co., so it's actually a little arguable as to whether or not he genuinely likes humans. It's more that he's just learned to tolerate and deal with them over the years than anything else. Think of it resembling that of the relationship between a person and their dog in an 'oh, you're so dumb, but just look at you go!' kind of way. Luckily for everyone around him, the empathy he's gained thanks to his mother helps to humble him a little, so it's toned down for the most part.

That being said, Kurama is a calm and collected individual despite his dueling personalities. He's very polite, friendly, and charismatic. He's popular amongst his peers and is very intelligent, getting almost perfect marks in every subject. Even so, every so often, the polite and seemingly perfect student will show a cheekier side of himself, teasing his friends just to get a rise out of them; not-so-deep down, he's a big ball of snark and sass. He'll even subtly manipulate others (although usually only when necessary), cleverly coercing the unwilling individual into an unwitting participant to assist in the task at hand.

Along with being level-headed and calculating, Kurama is able to keep his cool under almost any circumstance. On occasion, he has been shown to get his feathers ruffled, being visibly bothered when having to witness or engage in unnecessary cruelty inflicted upon others, or just in general upon those closest to him. However, this reaction is pretty few and far between, being that he is so level-headed; he does not allow his feelings to cloud his judgment, reining in his emotions long enough to assess the situation and figure out the best course of action to take. Although, on the off-chance that you do manage to do something that genuinely angers him, well...let's just say that it's generally a good idea not to piss him off. He's one of the more terrifying of the group when he has managed to finally snap.

That being said, he is quite protective of those few that he cares deeply for and can be quick to forget himself, recklessly throwing himself into dangerous situations with no forethought to his own safety, his only concern for the well-being of his loved ones. Most notably (and often) this behavior occurs when it concerns his mother, Shiori.

However, his demon self does not share the same level of sentimentality as Kurama does. He is considerably more cold and ruthless than his human counterpart, as well as relatively arrogant. He enjoys toying with his opponents and revels in the pure and simple thrill of the fight, prolonging it for nothing more than his own enjoyment. That is where the differences between the two end as his intelligent, perceptive, and overall analytical nature is still quite intact.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

+ Kurama is incredibly durable. His battle tactics sometimes tend to leave him open to the risk of attack, making his endurance an incredible asset to his particular style of fighting. As such, he can withstand large amounts of damage and still come out on top in the end.

+ Reconciling his past has proven most helpful in his growth. Accepting and allowing both halves of his personality and spirit (that of Youko Kurama and Shuichi Minamino) to meld together into one full entity has been entirely beneficial and has helped him come to terms with himself as a whole.

+ He has the innate ability to push aside his empathy and shut himself down so as not to be swayed by his emotions. While his momentary apathy can come off as downright cruel, it's simply become another way for him to adapt and take control of a situation.

+ His perceptiveness and intelligence are both great assets. In battle, he's extremely analytical, cunning and precise, quite capable of outsmarting many a foe. Kurama can easily devise a strategy no one else would have been able to conceive. In the event of an opponent catching onto his strategy, he can still manage to adapt, changing tactics at the very last minute to gain the upperhand.

+/- His biggest strength comes from his ability to analyze and rationalize any situation he's placed into. He will always stay three steps ahead of his opponent, meticulously picking apart their every move and as a result, can quickly discern the best way to achieve victory. It is definitely one of his biggest strengths, but it is also one of his biggest weaknesses, as he often won't strike first, and in the off-chance that he does, it's always half-hearted or in the defensive. This is due to his want to first observe his opponents' own battle strategies to learn both their movements and their motives. It's a risky gamble and a bad habit, as sacrificing strength for strategy generally ends up leaving him incapacitated to some degree during his matches.

- His greatest and easily the most exploitable of his weaknesses is the deep, familial love he's come to feel for Shiori. Over the course of his stay in the human world and with the passing years, his love for her only grew. Now he will sacrifice anything - including himself - to keep her safe. Plain and simple, he's a huge mama's boy and if his opponent can figure that out and use her against him in some way, it's a guaranteed advantage for them.

[the video-feed opens with a thoroughly confused, yet intrigued redhead who's a little too close to the small monitor of the device in his hand. he's tapping buttons he probably shouldn't be in an attempt to learn how to use and utilize the pokégear while his companion, a Budew, coos in the background, off-screen.] Oh, did I turn on the video function by mistake? I'll have to remember that it's that button, then.

[he presses another, quickly ending the recording and switching it over to the audio-only setting. that's more what he'd wanted to begin with.]
I'm looking for the fastest route to Violet City. If anyone happens to be listening, would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction? I'm afraid I've gotten a bit turned around in my haste. Any information is greatly appreciated.

[he then proceeds to tap the pokégear gently to turn off the microphone. would he even get a response? certainly he couldn't be the only one in this same predicament, right?

sighing, he decides to take a break next to a small thicket of bushes. he turned to the small plant pokémon beside him, patting the grass softly for her to take a seat as well.]
Let's rest here for a little while as we wait for some help. It'd be silly for us to rush any more into this without truly knowing all of the details, wouldn't you agree?

[she lets out a 'buu~dew!' in what he can only assume is agreement before she cuddles into his side, causing him to smile softly before feeling the pokégear buzz in his pocket. taking a look, he notices it switch on, showing an unfamiliar face. it looked like he'd finally get an answer and be on his way, and even sooner than he'd expected.]

Third Person Sample:

Kurama didn't know how long it'd been since he'd started his trek to the next town indicated on his map, but if he'd had to guess, it must've been a day or so at the least. From what he had seen so far - which admittedly wasn't very much - the entire place seemed so incredibly bizarre, from the faint hum of music everywhere he went right down to the one-way ledges that forbade him from climbing back up for whatever reason and led him to have to turn around more than once. While those things had proved mildly annoying, the most frustrating and troubling to him by far was the fact that he couldn't summon his rose whip or use any of his powers at all. It was as if he'd been entirely stripped down bare and while he'd spent the last seventeen years of his life posing as a normal human, it was something else entirely to have actually become his guise.

However, there'd been one thing he'd seen that had proven slightly more curious than the rest. A bit earlier, he'd stumbled upon two rat-like creatures in a large patch of grass fighting with such a tenacity that it had actually rivaled a few people he knew and held dear. They had caught his attention almost immediately, as they'd seemed to have unnatural abilities of their own, though he hadn't been able to observe them for long, as they'd scattered away quite quickly once they'd finally noticed his curious peering. If they were capable of using some sort of power, why wasn't he? It was something he certainly had wanted to look into further as he continued.

Lost in thought, he had almost forgotten about the Budew - as his pokédex had identified it - that seemed to be accompanying him on his journey thusfar. The small creature was currently trying to keep pace, waddling quickly behind him. He turned around when she had made a distressed sound, snapping him from his musings.

When he saw that she had tripped and fallen, he walked over and knelt down in front of her, smiling. "Are you alright, Fuuka?" She looked up at him and wiggled a little, struggling to roll herself back upright. The sight caused him to let out a small chuckle. She was like a small turtle stuck on its back; cute, really.

"Shall I carry you instead?" he asked, continuing to smile. Fuuka let out a soft “buuu” in reply and he scooped her up into his arms. She nestled into him, murmuring contented sounds as they continued on their trek. It was only a short while later before he saw the path break, revealing what looked like the twinkling of a city ahead.

"It would look like we've finally arrived at our destination. We can figure out what's in store for us after a night's rest, so let's find somewhere to settle for now." Fuuka simply cooed a reply and Kurama couldn't help but feel some sense of peace looking at her, however small. If she ended up being anything like the other two animal-like beings he'd encountered before - and really, he didn't see why she wouldn't be - perhaps he didn’t have to worry so much that he had lost his powers. He'd certainly hope so, at any rate.

Character
Name: Kazuma Kuwabara
Series: Yu Yu Hakusho
Timeline: episode 63
Canon Resource Links: Wikia; Wikipedia;

Personality: A lover and a fighter, Kuwabara is a rough spirit with a big and squishy heart. Rambunctious and loud, he's a somewhat-rebellious teenager, part of his own little fighting gang and always the first one to pick a fight. A lot of his afternoons, at least at the beginning of his middle school career, were spent trying to cause trouble with the neighborhood punks and test how strong his fists were. It's only been in recent months that he's managed to learn a bit of restraint. (But only a bit, as he's still a loud and spirited hothead; and that, unfortunately, may never change.)

Second toughest punk at Sarayashiki Junior High, (second only to the notorious Yusuke Urameshi), Kuwabara is definitely not a force to be taken lightly. He knows how to throw his punches and he can definitely hold his own in a fight or ten. And as resilient as a cockroach in the summertime, it's actually quite difficult to knock him down and keep him there. Able to withstand large amounts of physical pain on top of being able to dish it, Kuwabara has taken whalings from multiple enemies, demons, and even just swarms of rival gangs, without going down upon the first strike. Physically, he can definitely hold his own in a fight or ten. He also tends to provoke them, and he tends to win 99% of them. Well. More like 50% once you get into the technicalities. He's very stubborn in that nature; in fights and, well... in everything else he does, Kuwabara does his best to stand his ground and keep fighting for what he believes in. This tenacious spirit is probably his best trait.

He also has this grand, unwavering code of honor. A trait that was first brought to light when his friend needed help to keep his job, Kuwabara gave his word that he would assist no matter what, and he went through many lengths to assure that his word remained true. When Kuwabara makes a promise, he will go through lengths to keep it. Real men stick to their word and continue a fight for justice while remaining loyal to those whom he befriends. Sometimes it's a blind following, but he has a good heart that leads him to befriend the ones he can trust, even if it takes a while (here's looking at you, Hiei).

Kuwabara has one major flaw - he is dumb. Book-wise, he tries his best; he studied to pass a test in order to keep his best friend from losing his job, and his sister has been busting his ass to get him to study near daily so he could get into a better high school. His sister pushes him because she knows he can do it, and he knows he does well when he tries... but Kuwabara Stupidity is a chronic and terminal illness. He's hot-headed, doesn't always think things through, and makes careless mistakes. Those mistakes, in the end, make half his friends want to (or actually, in many cases) pop him on his noggin.

But Kuwabara loves to love. Girls are hot, but the sweeter the personality the more he's smitten. With spunky girls like Keiko and Botan, their independence, fierceness, and strong attitudes intrigue him, and he becomes less of a protector--sort of, as girls are just lovely souls whom he feels the need to protect so they don't have to do it--and more of a friend and a helper. And the daintier they get, like the sweet Yukina, the more Kuwabara is to treat her like a princess or a doll. He's a very firm believer in true love, often (way too often) saying that the red string of fate is tied to his pinkie finger and will guide his way right over to the love of his life. (Currently, that true love, fairly consistently, is Yukina, despite the fact that she has yet to express any returned feelings towards him.) However, love makes Kuwabara even more stupid. He stutters a little, stumbles over his words and his shoelaces, and makes even more reckless decisions because his heart has led him in the way. Following that red string has led him right into trouble on more than one occasion.

But even with all of these odd quirks, Kuwabara still has a sense of growing maturity about him. Still very much a goofy teenage kid, he's begun slowly but steadily placing his focus on the more important concerns in life. Saving the world and getting into a good school have been two of his main priorities which have him volunteering to fight his way through a tournament for the world's sake with little complaining, and he's begun turning his will of just fighting to his will of winning with a purpose.

Oddly enough, Kuwabara has a soft spot for kittens. He has one himself, an adorable little thing he named Eikichi. He's very caring and gentle towards her, and actually subjected himself to blackmail for her safety. Kittens are adorable.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Kuwabara is ridiculously loyal. He's a man of his word (there's that Honor Code again) and he's a true believer in being a good friend, to the point where he's nearly given up his life to give his friends a fighting chance. He tends to jump to a fight when it comes to defending someone he cares for, or for innocent people, or for kittens, or whoever else needs a good saving or two. He will also take all kinds of shit from people if it means helping someone he cares for, like when he willingly had his ass handed to him numerous days in a row to just avoid actually being in a fight to keep his friend's job. He is the first to jump in and act as a shield, prepared or not, because it's just right. His loyalty has gotten him nearly killed numerous times.

He's also very strong, physically. Outside of his spiritual ability with the sword, Kuwabara's been a great fighter. Good at punches, dodging, fights... hell, brute force in general is one of those many things he's just known for. Sometimes thinking is just better done with fists.

On top of that strength, Kuwabara's very selfless. He's never been a huge one for defending his own, but he will willingly give his life for a friend. He's the first to offer himself as a punching bag and the first person to crawl out of a window and run around the city trying to find someone. He's even been willing to do demeaning tasks for his cat. If Kuwabara can help, he will go through many lengths to do so.

Unfortunately, Kuwabara is always, always, ALWAYS the last one to figure things out. Hints do not work very well on him unless they're blatantly obvious, and he tends to be the last one to find things out. This frustrates him, especially when his friends don't just tell him things outright, but it's mostly his fault for not reading the tone of the situation or any of the subtler meanings of a situation.

He's a very obvious and straightforward person, which, while good in terms of discussions and productivity, is absolutely awful when it comes to not getting into trouble. His mouth and his snarky attitude have gotten him in trouble more than once--and in more fights with Urameshi than he could count. He doesn't always think before he speaks and, well... that doesn't always turn out well in the end. Actually, Kuwabara doesn't always think before he does things; he's run head-first into danger before going on a whim, a hunch, the tickles (his spirit powers before he realized they were spirit powers), or just solid willpower saying "this needs to happen". Being a heavy hitter and not always the brightest in terms of oversight usually end up as a bad combination.

One of his biggest weaknesses: Yukina. (She's so wonderful she deserves more focus.) With those feelings of ~precious love~ making him stupid, he literally becomes the biggest, dorkiest idiot in her presence. When things involve her, common sense is no longer a concern for him. It's kind of gross (and also cute at the same time).

[There are normal grins, there are excited grins, and then there are grins that mean someone won the lottery; well, in Kuwabara's case, he won a badge. But badge, lottery, same thing. Got the damn thing pinned to his shirt. Never mind the shaky cam, he and the Skitty on his shoulder are just elated.]

Check it out! Fumiko and I just took on, uh... [Wait, what was his name again?] F... uh... Bird gym guy! And we came out the proud winner of this shiny awesome badge! It's great, ain't it?

Soon, I'm gonna have all eight! And then I'll be ten times stronger than Urameshi ever was in this world, even if he's been here longer. Isn't that right, Fumiko-chan? [The Skitty's grin grows, nodding to the screen. They're both quite pumped with this one victory. Kids these days!] We're gonna get all the badges before he's done too! No way I'm letting him beat me to that!

And then we can go home, right? Because, uh, as much as I like this place and not having school and junk... My sister's really gonna kick my ass once I turn up .

Third Person Sample:
There were too many damn types. Fumiko, the bright pink Skitty who had been with him since day one, had long since grown bored of watching Kuwabara make the same two faces of confusion and aggravation at the book in front of him and had already become fidgety in his lap. And Kuwabara really couldn't blame her; he wanted to go out and train too! But outside of just brute force, all of these element types came into play and changed up how battles went, and Kuwabara needed to memorize the rest.

He got the obvious ones, like water and fire and fire and grass, but then throwing in ghost types? Normal? Fighting? The mere title of 'ghost type' made Kuwabara's tickles come back, and he was certain something was hovering by his inn's window, but he wasn't going to stop and fight it without some sort of strategy. He'd figure something out... somehow. Not being a genius strategist, this would just be a challenge, and having an antsy pokémon crawling about and scratching his jeans was serving as nothing but a reminder to hurry.

With an annoyed sigh, he dropped the pamphlet, reaching down to itch behind Fumiko's ears. Focusing just wasn't happening for him. "Sorry, girl, I just... we gotta get rid of that thing! But I can't do it without knowing it..."

The pokémon looked up at him, eyes in small slits but still completely focused on him.. "You know," Kuwabara continued, "it'd be a lot easier if you had a spirit sword. Or even if I had a spirit sword. That'd cut through a ghost-type faster than tackle would." With a grin, he just reached down to scoop Fumiko into his arms, nuzzling her a little against his face. "But I like you being a normal type, yes I dooo! You're gonna be an even cooler cat in the whole wide world once I get you a moon rock. It'll be great! I don't know what you'll be, 'cept bigger, but the nurses said it's cute!"

Them hot nurses... yet Kuwabara was so distracted by Fumiko's playful grin that he didn't even realize that he had stopped studying until he literally knocked into his book. "Hey... wanna go level up some more?" he asked. "Sounds more fun than studyin' some stupid types, don't it? We can call it... Sis always said I was a visual learner!"

Series: Attack on Titan
Timeline: Mid-episode 8, after retaking the Supply HQ
Canon Resource Links: Jean @ AoT Wiki (warning: spoilers!) | Jean @ Wikipedia | Attack on Titan @ Wikipedia

Personality:
The world is a terrible place in Attack on Titan. Humans are devoured by the Titans and live life surrounded by walls to keep their predators out. Jean is a teenager raised in this society and he has learned that the world can be a very cold and cruel place. Jean considers himself a realist, but in reality he's more of a pessimist, caught up in the dreadful situation of the world and nearly incapable of having any sort of hope for the future. While he does eventually gain hope, at his current canon point, Jean is very pessimistic for the future of humankind. He longs to keep himself safe by joining the Military Police and traveling to the Inner District, where there is next-to-no chance of Titan invasion. This desire was born of his pessimism rather than of laziness, as evidenced by how skilled Jean is with the Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear. Even after three long years of training with the 3DMG, Jean still longs to join the Military Police and live life inside the Inner District's walls. Instead of breaking free like Eren, Jean longs to live a safe life.

Aside from being pessimistic, Jean is ridiculously hotheaded. He picks fights numerous times in Attack on Titan simply because he can't control his temper. Eren is his usual target, both because he doesn't see eye-to-eye with Eren and because of Eren's relationship with Mikasa (which he is very jealous of). He's not the best fighter out there, but Jean can hold his own for the most part. Unlike Eren, who took his training very seriously, Jean did not pick up on other types of fighting, something that frustrates him when Eren defeats him. Eren is Jean's rival (in his head, at least) and he longs to upstage Eren throughout their three years of training. While Jean is better than Eren with the 3DMG, Eren ultimately places ahead of him at the end of their training. Jean is not pleased with this for obvious reasons. At one point, Eren comments that Jean is like he was - hotheaded and incapable of controlling himself. This is very true and something that does change slightly over time.

He doesn't know when to shut up, which is part of the reason why he gets into so many fights. He taunts Eren on several occasions, calling him stupid for wanting to enter the Scouting Legion. Jean could easily avoid picking fights if he kept his mouth shut, but once he has his mind set on something, he's going to say it regardless of how stupid it might seem. When he first enlists he tells the truth about what he wants to do (joining the Military Police to live in the Inner District) instead of coming up with a better answer. He believes that telling the truth is always important and doesn't believe in tempering his speech any, despite how much trouble it might get him in. Jean has had this backfire on him several times and he does eventually learn that there are times when it is better for him to keep quiet, but at his current canon point, he's still just as brash and loud as he was in training.

He can be incredibly over-dramatic about the most inconsequential things. When he first sees Mikasa, he decides he likes her, but on seeing that she was hanging out with Eren (the boy he had already decided was his rival), Jean went stock still and wiped his "trust" on Connie's back. He overreacts to quite a few situations while he's still in training, and while he does mature eventually, he is still prone to being over-dramatic when he's not in a life-or-death situation.

Jean matures a great deal when the Titans invade Trost. He is shoved into a leadership position that he doesn't want and isn't sure how to handle, and is immediately dealt a severe blow with the loss of several trainees under his command. Jean does not take their deaths lightly. He breaks down and isn't sure what to do. He almost gives into despair, but a thin ray of hope shines through and he takes charge, leading the other trainees toward the Supply Headquarters, where they can go to refuel their 3DMG. Using his friends' deaths like that also takes a toll on him and Jean is horrified by his actions. Ultimately he cares deeply about the people he's commanding and for the first time it's very obvious that Jean is just as human as the rest of the trainees; he has feelings and is capable of taking things seriously. While he might not have taken his training very seriously, it is clear that Jean does know what he's doing on the battlefield.

While he claims otherwise, Jean is a natural leader. He understands weakness and takes it into account, while other leaders might overlook it. He understands that not all of the trainees will be able to keep up with him, and formulates plans that will allow as many to survive as possible. He is capable of planning just for himself as well, as shown when his 3DMG malfunctions and he is left stranded on the ground. He can be opportunistic, but he typically feels bad about it when all is said and done.

On the battlefield Jean is a much more serious person who mourns the deaths of his comrades and puts together plans to save as many people as he can. He can be laid-back and even downright cruel off the battlefield, but his experiences in Trost have permanently changed him. He is still a hotheaded, rash teenager who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut, but he's also a skilled leader who looks out for everyone in his team, from the strongest member to the weakest. He's got a lot to learn and a long way to go before he's fully matured, but Jean is beginning to learn that maybe there is hope in this dark world of his.

Character
Name: Archer
Series: Fate/Extra
Timeline: Post!Seventh Round; Female Protagonist (Rin Route)
Canon Resource Links: Type-Moon Wikia Entry || Type-Moon Wikia Entry (Main Series) || Walkthrough that includes all routes.

Despite the fact this Archer’s past is heavily kept a secret by comparison to what’s discovered about his counterpart of the main series, it’s heavily hinted at that these two are either one in the same or much of their history is the same in that he was once this person. Archer makes vague references to other characters of the main series in Fate/Extra, as well his estranged connection to Tohsaka Rin.

For simplicity sake, this Archer will be treated as a separate entity from the Archer of the main Fate/Stay Night series. Any relation to characters of the main series will be played by ear, but ultimately his connections lie with his current Master and those met throughout the Moon Cell’s Holy Grail War.

Personality: One does not gain the title of “No Name” by having much of his past being discovered. To that end, he can be considered quite the secretive person. Not much is known about his life before becoming a Heroic Spirit, but he is generally seen as something of a cynical individual, many of his conversations with his Master throughout the Holy Grail War ending in mostly harmless verbal abuse. At times this nature of his can make him come off as a grumpy old man as he reminisces about pieces of his past and about other topics not to do with himself, such as discussing vampires. Though he’s sarcastic at times, it’s also how he tends to give advice. He is not much of a liar but he keeps many secrets (such as his mysterious connection with Tohsaka Rin; when asked if he knew her or that she was his girlfriend, he denied it. a truthful response, but only because this isn't the same Rin that he may have known in the past). Despite these tendencies, however, Archer is one who is all too familiar with the battlefield and when to be straightforward. Grasping the severity of most situations, this comes from the fact that his Master is dependant on him for protection. As she's an easy target because of that, it's up to Archer to do whatever it takes to protect her. To that end his devotion to his allies (particularly his Master) is unprecedented. As a Servant his life is dedicated to the one that commands him, ready to protect his Master with his life if needed be. That being said, in the Holy Grail War, losing one’s Servant is equal to losing your own life as a Master; with a strong fighting spirit and great wisdom and skill in his class, he always carries forward to the best of his abilities to obtain victory. Over time his overall attitude around his Master shifts to a more kind and protective role. Though there is an edge to his words from time to time, this shows that he is a soft-hearted hero deep down that can open up to the people he trusts and cares about. Along with opening up comes an easier time in actually teasing or getting Archer flustered. Though still difficult to do at times, his Master had learned to “bark back” so to speak and even nearly caused him to fall off his chair at one point (to which he tried to play off like it was nothing). To his enemies, however, he can be downright insulting and has a tendency to goad them on and taunt them. As for those he is impartial to, though he isn't exactly indifferent to them, he can at times be difficult in his attitude, some people offput by his sarcastic nature.

It can be speculated, however, that his softer side is a shadow of his previous life. As a Heroic Spirit, Archer can be considered almost fictional in a sense. As Heroic Spirits are considered legendary in history, he is a rather unorthodox case as he is not a natural born hero. His name was long since forgotten by time, hence his identity is considered “No Name”, but he willingly sold over "his self after death" to the Moon Cell as a compensation for a miracle. This miracle was to save the lives of many people that he otherwise could not have done with his own power. To that end, Archer is considered the personification of an ideal. The “Ally of Justice”, a superhero that would save everyone even at the cost of his own life. Employed as a concept after his death, though Archer is shaped as the “Ally of Justice” people desired, he is considered a Servant instead of a hero.

The source of his ideal was once a young man who walked the path of a superhero. Though it isn’t concretely stated in Fate/Extra, it is speculated that the life that Archer lead as a Servant is similar to the one he lived in the main series, Fate/Stay Night. Betrayed by his own ideal after being forced to kill to save many more people, it could be one of the many reasons why Archer is the aged, cynical man that he is in the Moon Cell’s Holy Grail War.

And yet despite being betrayed by the very ideal he devoted himself to, he genuinely wanted to be an "Ally of Justice" and save everyone. To that end, it's a showing of just how kind Archer is deep down inside, masked by shades of cynicism and sarcasm due to the confliction and hypocrisy in his ideals. Archer knows he can't save everyone, further cemented by how he lives with regret in his heart and approaches most things in life with the conscience of a realist. Remnants of the "Ally of Justice" remain however, as shown in how he will still do his best to protect those that he can (most importantly, his Master and by extension, her allies if prompted to).

With regret weighing heavily on his mind, his ideals only "borrowed" from someone who saved him in his past life, Archer continues to walk a tragic yet neverending path, marching through the countless "borrowed" blades upon the hill.

Ultimately, he remains devoted to his Master despite what is speculated of his past life, summoned to win the Holy Grail. In fact, though subtle, his sympathetic side is best brought out of him through his Master. In his past life, he was once a magus who competed for the Holy Grail. Much like the protagonist of Fate/Extra, he was lost and inexperienced; yet despite his flaws and initial incompetence as a Master, it was because of the support of his Servant that he made it as far as he did. Though he would complain about his Master at first, he continued to do his best to support her just the same as his own Servant did for him. He also rewards persistence and hard work because his whole life had been that tenet of practicing on that hard work alone.

In his past life and even as the powerful Heroic Spirit that he is today, he was inadequate as a magus. His prowess isn't a showing of his natural skill, but single-mindedly refining what very little he had in the art of Projection and Reinforcement.

A fictional Heroic Spirit.
Faker.

With his return to Johto, over the course of his previous journey alongside Red Saber and adjusting into the new lifestyle of a Pokémon Trainer, Archer has shown to be nonchalant in his training methods. Though he rewards hard work from his Pokémon, he had yet to capture many new members and relied on his Ditto. While his personality and outlook on life hasn't changed so much since then, he exudes a calm sense of confidence in battle without arrogance; much like his demeanor upon competing for the Holy Grail. Despite this, Archer still finds a way to goad his opponents on.

While the more relaxing lifestyle is seemingly new to him after all these years, it's a way of life that he had adapted to easily enough. To that end, he is devoted to one day seeking a way back to fighting alongside his Master.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

Strengths

If his past self is any indication, his housekeeping skills are absolutely exceptional, along with being a decent cook (Japanese cuisine being his forte). Strong and determined both in body and mind, Archer has a great tactical mind and can formulate strategies rather quickly. This comes from facing enemies that should be stronger than he is and single-mindedly focusing on the one thing that he is good at and perfecting it. With his powers, that comes down to Projection (or Tracing), a magecraft that involves analyzing the structure of a weapon (typically a sword) right down to the history and its user’s techniques and replicating the weapon for his own use. As far as Pokémon battles are concerned, this can easily transfer over into taking the strengths and weaknesses of his Pokémon and his opponent’s and assessing the best way to victory (or a tactical retreat if needed be).

Weaknesses

Though not exactly weak by any means, by comparison to most of the enemies he’d faced in the past, they were considerately stronger than he was. Relying on his cunning can only get him so far before he’s outright overwhelmed. Seeing as Archer has placed up so many walls around himself it’s difficult to see weaknesses in him. Vague as it may be, being reminded of his past (especially bringing up Tohsaka Rin of who brings up a suspiciously dodgy side of Archer) can cause him to effectively clam up. Though that is more of a typical case-by-case basis as he has discussed his past before with the likes of his Master, particularly his exploits as a hero.

[by the time he had come to and realized where he had arrived, the surprise had left his expression as quickly as it had came. unaware of how he'd departed in the first place, he imagined he would either return to the Moon Cell, data waiting to be utilized yet again to be summoned in another war... or he could return to the point in which Hakuno was waiting for him. they had a mission to complete after all. or...]

Was I dreaming just now? [the Servant surveys his surroundings as he realizes he's leaving a message over the PokéGear. he remembers this city... amusing in that it was the last place he was staying before vanishing. was he the only one? what of Saber? Lancer? that boy... who was here and who wasn't here? it was a good thing that he didn't ask all of these questions outloud. he'd find the answers out on his own in the first place. and he wasn't the type to feel out of place. so for now, he continued walking down the busy street]

Goldenrod City... Maybe I should pay the King of Knights a visit. [his expression falters if only in the slightest. and only momentarily] If you're still here. [though his thoughts wander to the whereabouts of a certain Empress he'd travelled with for so long, it was fleeting for the time being as there was one constant in this world. at least, as far as he remembered. if Saber wasn't here, that practically meant,]

Not that it matters in the first place. If I'm supposed to go for another cycle of this world, I may as well quit holding back.

Johto or Kanto though... [his tone of voice suggests almost a lack of interest and yet acceptance all at the same time. there was no questions this time. he knew the game by now] Guess it wouldn't hurt to catch up to everyone else so far "ahead".

[and on that note? he smirks before shutting off the PokéGear. but not before muttering to himself,]

Man, starting over will be a pain.

Third Person Sample: “You can either follow me or get back in your ball. Your call either way.” Having spent enough time lingering around the edges of New Bark Town and getting accustomed to the way this world worked, Archer slipped his backpack on, the weight feeling foreign on his back. He was so used to not having to carry much of anything to begin with, or even having his weapons manifest in his grasp from thin-air. It had admittedly been an awkward moment for the red knight when he threatened his ‘Mom’ with a pair of swords that never appeared. Shouting ”Trace on!” when nothing happened? Thinking back on it even now caused him to frown, though any traces of a blush were hard to find on such a tanned complexion. Everything felt so bizarre and out of place. He could no longer feel the presence of his Master. No longer was there an influx of magic coursing through him as a powerful Heroic Spirit. Just the blood that made him…human.

(Human…)

That was exactly right. Archer was a human now. Though it initially caused him to panic (though his version of panicking would look very calm to anybody else), he realized that there was nothing to concern himself with. Even if he was still a Servant, his Independent Action ability granted to him as an Archer would allow him to last for a couple of days even without a source of prana. Despite the fact that it seemed he now had ample time to get his bearings straight, his priority now became that of either finding his Master or finding a way back to finishing the Holy Grail War. Strong as she had become, she was hopeless without him. Or maybe…just maybe, Archer was hopeless without her. Had their bond become that strong? Had they truly come so far together? Apparently so if it meant he doubted his existence in this world and believed it to be a Reality Marble at first. Though he’d come to accept his fate here in the sense that he had to play by the rules. No swords, just him and his new companion of a Ditto that fumbled behind Archer as he made his way out from New Bark Town. From a bystander’s viewpoint it would have looked as though the Servant didn’t care for his Pokémon, but his pace was much slower than usual. Enough so that the Ditto didn’t miss a single beat and stayed right behind its trainer, working desperately to keep up.

As he reflected on his predicament, it became all too perfectly clear that as a human, he may as well have been no different from his Master now. If anything…he was the Master and this Pokémon was the Servant whose purpose was to fight for him and protect him. Meaning that whatever was out there in this vast and wide world, Archer wouldn’t be able to take it on alone. And though his back had remained turned to the obedient Pokémon, it was for the sake that he had no choice but to lay his trust within Ditto to be the eyes in the back of his head. Archer would be the one to trek beyond the horizon and take on everything in front of him while Ditto would be the one to have his back. When he thought about it that way, it was almost comforting…

“… I don’t know what counts as exercise for you,” he suddenly stopped as he turned around to look down at the blob of a monster that looked up to Archer, seemingly confused as to why they stopped in the middle of the road as well. Seriously, he had no idea given its body type…or lack thereof. “But I’m gonna put you back in the ball for now.” Reaching for the little ball attached to the Servant’s waist, he clicked the button on the front of it to cause it to morph in size, pointing it down in the direction of Ditto. Just as he was about to return it, however… “…?” Ditto looked disappointed for some reason. Don’t ask how Archer was able to tell, but it wasn’t for the fact that it was being put back in the Pokéball. Was Ditto too slow? It didn’t want to disappoint its trainer since it wasn’t like most Pokémon. Before it could dwell on what it did wrong, however, Ditto was met with a small yet confident smile from the towering Servant.

“I’m the slow one here. If you want, I’ll teach you to keep up with me better when I’m ready. If I can run faster, I’ll figure out what I have to do sooner.”

If this really was all supposed to be real and he was away from the Holy Grail War, then Ditto was more familiar to this than Archer was. Archer was the one who had much to learn now. After a brief yet mutual staredown between Archer and Ditto, he couldn’t help but lightly huff and shake his head. “I’m cheering up a walking pile of goop…”

Despite his words, it seemed that Ditto understood what Archer had meant, perking up almost immediately with a smile as it waited for its master’s command.

“Return.”
