Applications will be normally checked during the weekend following the first and third Sunday of each month unless otherwise stated, and we will allow one application per person during one application cycle. Remember, the most characters one player can have at a time is currently set at five.
Applications received after 11:59 PM EST on Saturday of the first and third weekend of each month will be checked the following app weekend unless otherwise stated.
The comment character limit on dreamwidth is 16,000 characters so apps no longer need to be split into multiple comments; however this is at players' discretion.
Please use the form below and post your application in comments rather than linking if you can. If you have any questions, feel free to ask either of the mods. You can reach us through emails, IMs, or PMs.
A reminder for those waiting to hear back, please don't be worried if we skip yours while going through them. It only means we needed a little more time to research!

✔ INFORMATION-GATHERING
One of the ways Chie earns money is through collecting and selling information, and while she doesn't appear in person during the original series her name comes up when the main character's gang talks about the information she has provided for them. She was able to obtain a list of escaped prisoners for Tsukiyama, which Itori later says was classified information only obtainable through hacking CCG's database. How she got her hands on the information isn't made clear, but this implies she has at least some hacker skills.
After the timeskip she was able to use her knowledge of cameras to deduce that the ghoul the CCG was looking for had to buy large quantities of film for his foreign-brand camera at a specialty store and even had a suspect in mind. She's no Sherlock Holmes, that's for sure, but she's way smarter than she looks and definitely knows how obtain useful information.
✔ NERVES OF STEEL
The concept of fear almost seems to be entirely foreign to Chie. She doesn't bat an eyelid at physical or verbal threats, and her response to being grabbed by the neck and hung out an eight-story window was literally to take a picture of the person doing it to her. No matter how dangerous a situation is, she remains unperturbed and keeps her cool.
✔ LIKES INTERESTING THINGS
As stated in the personality section, Chie is really big on finding interesting things to photograph. Being brought to a new world is something she would really enjoy simply because it'd offer her plenty of new things to take pictures of; she's a very curious person and she'd find her stay in the game to be exciting rather than annoying or off-putting so it would be easy for her to get out there and do things.
✔ GOOD AT GETTING INTO PLACES
This is where being pocket-sized is a good thing, as it allows her to fit into places too small for bigger people. She also has a knack for sneaking around and getting into places that she shouldn't be, as seen in the novels where she breaks into Tsukiyama's house to lounge around and eat snacks. It's likely that she knows how to pick locks and possibly other methods of surreptitious entry.
✔/✘ PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
Sometimes, Chie takes rather unusual approaches to solve her problems. When an argument with Tsukiyama is getting nowhere, she ends up upending her hot chocolate over his head and then walks out, and she essentially orchestrates a panty raid in the hopes of cheering him up in the sequel series. It's not a completely unsound idea — the underwear she obtains she obtains are ingrained with Haise's smell and there are studies that show that smell is the sense strongest linked to memories — but this doesn't make the "let's get this man to sniff underwear, maybe it'll help him snap out of his depression" approach any less bizarre.
✘ WHAT THE HELL ARE YOUR PRIORITIES
While her passion for photography can be seen as an admirable thing, she's rather prone to taking pictures when she really shouldn't be taking photos. If she's in a dangerous situation, she's likely to be more concerned about getting a good shot than actually removing herself from the danger. Let's just say that if there's another large-scale battle similar to Hoennween, chances are she's going to be a lot more interested in taking pictures of whatever colossal legendary is wrecking shit than actually stopping it from wrecking shit.
✘ GENERAL LACK OF TACT
Chie possesses approximately the same amount of tact as a wet paper towel. She doesn't beat around the bush, nor does she try to sugarcoat things to soften the blow any. She's very straightforward when she speaks and rarely, if ever, takes people's feelings into consideration. Don't let her deliver bad news because she will just dump it on you whether you're ready or not.
✘ RECKLESS
Let's be real here, tailing Tsukiyama and taking a picture of him killing and eating a dude? It's not the brightest move to begin with, and it's made even worse by the blatant lack of discretion while doing so because she wasn't even trying to hide somewhere out of sight while getting her scoop. The sole reason she survived that evening was through sheer refuge in audacity.
She enjoys living and isn't trying to get herself killed, but her survival instincts come across as questionable at best sometimes. She usually's able to deploy some reason for why killing her would be a Bad Idea™ but there are times she doesn't or said reason is made clear way too late, such as when she scheduled a blog post that would reveal Tsukiyama as a ghoul if she doesn't make it home in time to cancel it — which she does not mention until after he nearly kills her.
✘ TINY
Chie is approximately 4'3" (an official height hasn't been given, but this is what I estimate her to be) which is super short for an adult and makes her look twelve. While there are some benefits to tiny, it also means doesn't have a lot of physical strength and would be at a severe disadvantage in a physical fight; you could easily just pick her up like a sack of potatoes or toss her around. Her height also makes it harder for her to be taken seriously — when she approaches Urie and Shirazu to offer them information they assume she's a kid and she has to prove her age with her driver's license before she can actually start discussing with them.
