She's as sweet and friendly as she is energetic. She's actually pretty protective of her friends even! She's willing to go through quite a bit for their sake. Her Dream self had saved John's by pushing him out of the way of a meteor, resulting in her own death. Needless to say, she's a brave soul. Putting herself in danger and standing up to others, like the Courtyard Doll and even not being afraid of Bec Noir (going as far as hitting him with a newspaper). She's a loyal friend, wanting to help others out through any means. Example is her birthday present to John, that saved him, but also went through a lot of time traveling and the like to get to him proper.
On that line of thought, Jade is rather intelligent and resourceful. One of her interest even include nuclear science! She may be kind of silly, but boy is she a smarty pants! She's got a knack for high-tech gadgetry, which makes a bit of sense as it's all over her home. She's even got a robot that looks like her, which she can use to stay in communication with her friends while she's asleep (a problem that persisted in the series as Vriska kept putting her to sleep making it seem like she had narcolepsy). Besides loving nuclear science and enjoying high-tech gadgetry, Jade has other interest. She's got her Squiddles and love for old cartoons. She's skilled at her Eclectic Bass (although she's quite silly with the flute) and a fan of furries. Well, okay, Jade is kind of weird.
But it's not like she grew up in society. Jade's only means of society is through the internet, as she lives on an island with only her teleporting dog and her stuffed Grandpa. She has no real grasp of social norms and most pop culture is lost on her. The giant tower she lives in was discovered by her Grandpa. Everything in it was probably through his findings and wealth. She has no worry about material needs, as she has everything she can ask for in her home. She's sheltered from the social norm, and lacks knowledge and skill sets that are in an average kid her age. Instead, she has rather wonderful skills to make up for it, like being a skilled markswoman. Surprisingly, she's actually a pacifist, although that doesn't mean she isn't willing to fight when need be. She just rather find a more peaceful resolution if available.
But Jade is definitely far from flawless. For all her good and friendly nature, Jade can get aggravated and exasperated when her patience thins. Her childish nature makes this part of her a little hard to deal with sometimes. She will get upset and be snippy with people and be hard to approach when she's in a bad mood, as she doesn't really want to talk with people. Especially those that had antagonized her.
Her stubborn nature doesn't help. It makes it hard for her to forgive people, because of her stubbornness to get over things (like with forgiving Karkat after all the times he harassed her). She also kind of just does things!!! She can be so stubborn, that she doesn't fully realize the consequences of her actions. If there's a will, there's a way, and she's gonna do it that way. She's been kind of like this a lot with her colorful reminders and being able to see things in Prospit's clouds. It's a flaw, but also a great thing in some sense. Jade doesn't just give up, and is willing to keep going, despite the odds. She can be serious, and really get the tasks ahead of her done.
Jade is an energetic and quirky girl. She's optimistic and stubborn and a man's best friend!

Third Person Sample:
It was pretty exciting being here. Having a Pokemon that would be loyal to her was something she dearly missed. Being around people was pretty great too! There were so many people here. So many people she needed to talk to. But that made it also pretty overwhelming. She wasn't sure how to go about this at all. She had never been thrown into society. She was stuck on an island and she ended up in SBURB. The only society she may have been involved with were the consorts. Let's be real. Consorts aren't really what you would consider helpful for getting used to society, even if they are adorable and helpless!!! But all that really does is make her realize that she has no idea how to really acclimate into modern society.
Well, she thinks she's doing pretty good at it. Minus the times where she guesses it isn't socially acceptable to suddenly drag strangers with you, but she learned quick! Still, she wasn't sure how to be a "normal" teenager. She can do super smarty pants science and shoot a rifle accurately, but she can't ride a bike or tell you the current hit song. It's really hard to keep a conversation when most of the people around you have no idea what you're talking about when you talk about robot building. It's kind of frustrating honestly.
She rolled in the grass a bit, huffing a bit. Ugh! Thinking was getting her nowhere. There was a lot to do still. They had a game to beat, but now she and a lot of her friends were here now. She thinks it's important that they should beat the game, but her friends were so happy here, that she also thinks staying here was good. Actually, she wouldn't mind staying here. There was a lot of things here she can learn and research on. An entire new world that she can find new and exciting things! She whistles. "Bec! Come here, Bec!" The Absol she arrived with comes bounding over to her, licking her face until she starts laughing. She sits up and rubs her face with her sleeve. "Bec. You ready for an adventure, because I am! Let's go find everyone, alright?"
She had forgotten what it's like to just be Jade. Not the Jade with space powers with dog ears and a tendency to chase Jaspersprite around the battleship. Not the Jade who became a god and had a very important role in SBURB. No, she was Jade. The quirky girl who lived on an island and loved animals and people alike. "We're gonna see a lot of things together! This time, we'll be all together on this journey!" She liked the sounds of that. Finally having all her friends together at once in person! They weren't colored texts anymore. They were here, breathing and in the flesh.
It's okay to not go back to SBURB right away, because the most important thing is her friends, and they're right here with her!!!

Jade is the fourth and final Beta kid to be introduced properly. She's the most energetic of the four. She has an excitable nature to her, and can almost come off as childish and silly. Her room exemplifies this childishness with her patterned bed sheets and the stuffed animals she keeps. Her Fetch Modus is just as silly, actually! Hers is based off children's games and not based off data, like the others. That energetic nature of hers shows online too. She tends to type in an excited manner, including plenty of exclamation points and emoticons in her messages.

Let's not forget all the dumb passwords she set up that Karkat had to use to get her to talk to him. She also kind of just does things!!! She's been kind of like this a lot with her colorful reminders and being able to see things in Prospit's clouds. Many times, she won't really tell the others what she's doing because she's sure she got this!!! She saw it in the clouds. Even when she couldn't see visionsin the Prospit clouds, she didn't waste time. She also kind of just went ahead and met up with Jake and Jane when they arrive tothe new session, leaving Davesprite and John behind. She didn't even really tell John, seeing as the next time we see him, he's sleeping. She just kind of went and did it. It's a flaw, but also a great thing in some sense. Jade doesn't just give up, and is willing to keep going, despite the odds. She can be serious, and really get the tasks ahead of her done.
Jade's personality doesn't drastically change in the three years of traveling. She's mellowed out quite a bit. She still seems to have that energetic quality to her, but she's much calmer. Of course, there's only so much you can be excited about when you've been on a Battleship for three years with the same people and consorts. But it shows even when she meets Jake and Jane. She saves them and just kind of smiles and says hello to them, although they seem more shocked than anything. A reminder, that Jade can be a little weird and that she doesn't realize that certain things that happen may be a little more than shocking to other people. While she knew she was just gonna show up and greet them, they had no idea. They probably weren't even expecting it. Jade also seems to become a much more patient person. She's always been pretty patient though. Waiting for her copies of SBURB to show up in the lotus and being the last kid to even get in. She's also in charge of breeding the frogs for the Univer Frog, being the Space player of her session. She even seems to enjoy her time on the Battleship. Despite knowing that they have to wait three years to get to the new session and be reunited with everyone, she seems very content and happy waiting. She grew up alone, and now she had all the consorts, Jaspersprite (although she chases him), John, and Davesprite with her on their travels. Three years is a lot of time though, so there needs to be quite a bit of patience needed to take that in stride. She also kind of needs it when dealing with John sometimes. While watching Con Air, John starts throwing a tantrum and she kind of has to deal with it. She gets annoyed, definitely, but she doesn't just leave him there. She tries to talk him through it, no matter how ridiculous he was getting.
Although she does it with a rather sarcastic bite to it sometimes. It seems that Jade has gotten a bit sassy and sarcastic in the three years of traveling. It's probably her partially childish nature to be kind of dismissive, while still trying to help. It almost seems a little condescending, although that's probably not her actual aim. She just can't really be expected to deal with really stupid things and not be a bit sarcastic in retaliation.
She's also brutally honest. She'll easily admit if she likes something, even if she also knows it's dumb. She'll also easily call someone dumb if they're being dumb (looking at you John). It's great to be honest, but sometimes she can be blunt about it. Jade also doesn't take stupid bullshit. When stupid bullshit is happening, she puts her foot down. She doesn't let John ridicule science, just because he's exasperated. It's one of her favorite things, and you don't see her shitting on things John loves. She also is quick to get John to stop talking or doing certain things during his tantrum, shooting him down about Davesprite and telling him to stop thinking about it. That doesn't mean she doesn't humor certain things, but she knows when she wants to stop something or put her foot down on it because she thinks someone is being dumb. Good thing she's still got that patient part of her nature, or dealing with bullshit would be so much harder. :D
Jade is a friendly, intelligent girl. She can be a bit stubborn and childish, but she's a great companion through and through. Good Jade, best dog.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+Energetic - She's still got that energetic side to her, although it's mellowed out. Perhaps it's mostly since she hasn't had anything to get super excited about for three years.
+Friendly - Jade is still her friendly self. She saves Jake and Jane and approaches them as a friend and ally right on the get go.
+Optimistic - She doesn't think that they'll lose. If anything, she's sure they're gonna win!!!
+Brave - Going up against Noir while he's gone ballistic to save Jake and Jane. That takes some bravery man.
+Loving - She still refers to her friends in a caring nature even when they are at their worst, willing to deal with even the dumbest tantrums.
+Intelligent - She's still into science you know. On the Battleship, she starts talking about the speed of light and offers to talk about science to John.
+Resourceful - Living on an island by yourself for so long, you need to be resourceful. She also seems pretty resourceful in keeping herself entertained on the three year trip.
+Determined - She is a determined girl!!! Making a ship move at the speed of light towards a new session. She is sure they'll beat the session then!
+Patient - She's actually quite content waiting! She had to wait for her copies of SBURB to show up in the lotus, after all. She also had to wait three years before they got to the new session. Also, you need a certain amount of patience to deal with the dumb tantrum John made over his favorite movie, Davesprite, and let's be real, absolutely jack shit. Shut up, John!!! You are yelling at nothing!!!!!
+Is a dog - Woof.
+/- Doesn't take bullshit, although this can be good in a lot of cases, and bad in some cases. It depends on the situation. Like how she didn't take John's bullshit during his tantrum.
+/- Brutally honest. It makes her seem blunt sometimes, but she's also honest about how she feels.
-Can be childish - When she gets annoyed and mad, she reacts in a childish way. She has the tendency to brush people off like this and trivialize whatever is happening. Grimbark Jade kind of does this when Dave and her talk and she just kind of brushes it off as Dave talking his mouth off.
-Stubborn - Jade can get a bit headstrong and want to do things her way, which makes it hard to reason with her. She also can have trouble forgiving because of her stubborn nature. It took her awhile to forgive Karkat.
-Forgetful - She used to need colorful reminders because she got so forgetful and scatterbrained. She doesn't use the reminders anymore, but that doesn't say much about her memory.
-Grew up secluded, so she probably doesn't always get what is socially acceptable and what's not.
-Will put other people's lives above hers, even at the extent of her own
-She can be sarcastic at times, which makes her seem a bit condescending.
