Hope these are better!

Personality:
Epsilon is one of the main characters (as of season 7) in Red vs Blue, a comedy about space marines. He is for all intents and purposes a fragment of a bigger AI. With the memories he holds, he is a unique individual that doesn’t rely on the programming that he was written with.

Originally when Epsilon appears as a character in Recreation, his personality seems to be non-existent due to being locked inside of a containment unit that he had been installed into. Once he's out, it's does an immediate 180 to how he actually is.

Right from the get go you see a big aspect of Epsilon’s personality: anger. As an artifact, restrained to a body that he had no real control of, he was pissed off when he couldn’t make it what he wanted to do. Even the laser was an accidental discovery when Tucker and the others make fun of him for being a floating eyeball who couldn’t even make himself go forward. Due to being awful at trying to be physically violent, he is very prone to miss his targets. Be it a sniper rifle or his laser, Epsilon has yet to actually hit a target, something Tex makes fun of him for inside another containment unit. Caboose is the main target for a majority of Epsilon’s outburst with his stupid remarks or calling Epsilon his best friend. Every character in the show as at one point or another been accosted verbally due to how easily Epsilon can snap.

Epsilon has a huge ego and a high sense of self-importance. Being ‘reborn’ inside of the AI and worshiped by an alien race is one such time when he enjoyed having his ego stroked, making up a song praising himself and calling himself a god. The laser beam is a huge boost for him, not only because it makes him seem more awesome in his own mind, but he managed to be somewhat intimidating in his smaller form. Monologue is a form of his ego as he speaks in an almost diary style out loud, which no one seems to listen to and interruptions happen, like when Tucker keeps calling his name inside the containment unit version of Blood Gulch. Compliments, though rare and usually delivered by Caboose, can make him seem like he has a big head and leads into bragging about what he had just been complimented for.

There have been times that show that Epsilon just does not care about what's going on around him. If the situation is calm or he feels it doesn't concern him, it's hard to tell if he's just being lazy or if he's about to lose it. Laziness includes him talking to himself, not wanting to go find out what's going on when the Reds get something new until he's pushed (like anytime they Reds seem to be in "deep discussion" about what the next plan of action is), or just... standing there. To the contrary comes the times where he's high energy, which can be nervous, angry, or excited. If a door doesn't open fast enough, or when F.I.L.S.S. releases them from having their armor shut down but it's too slow for his taste, he tries to rush these things by yelling things like "COME ON! COME ON! COME ON!" or being fidgety. Patience will never be his middle name. The other extreme to the laziness is sheer obsession. He becomes obsessed with finding out what his memories mean as he gets snippets of Tex in them, and they can lead him into danger, such as when they go back to Valhalla and are attacked by Washington and the Meta.

He can have small bursts of melancholy, the subject of Texas coming up being a common trigger for these moments. Epsilon shows regret and remorse in very human ways despite being an AI. The biggest example is when he tries to force the rag tag group of Reds and Blues to into coming with him to eliminate the director. They refused, and one by one left, even Caboose. Seeing the person who had the most faith in him leave due to this leaves Epsilon feeling empty, yet filled with regret, and he knows he has done an awful thing. Remorse is shown strongest when he realizes that the only reason Tex keeps failing is because of him existing, which spirals into depression as he thinks about how he needs to finally let her go so they could both move on. Leaving his friends behind in their new home at the end of season 10 lets Carolina see a side of Epsilon the others don’t: that he will genuinely miss the people he thinks of as his friends. He leaves his sniper rifle behind as a symbol that he is moving on from them no matter how much it pains him.

Epsilon, since he is programmed to be, is highly intelligent and has great analytical skills. It doesn’t show too often during his run in the series due to his temper. The moment he mentions the words “So here’s the plan”, Caboose, Tucker, and the others shoot his rational ideas down, which causes Epsilon to basically say “fuck it” and let them make a disastrous plan of their own. There are times that even though he knows what he’s talking about, common sense goes out the window. He has to be reminded during a battle against Tex that he could easily just slip into her mind and shut the combatant units down. It hadn’t occurred to him before then even as he was giving the others directions on how to avoid being hit by the robots attacking them. He also holds a high level of introspection, being fully aware of what he is, why he was created, and what he is capable of, something that sets him apart and makes him seem far more human than the program he is. The memory part of him, being the one who has all of them that he can eventually recall, is a great help in either finding people, like the director and Texas, or knowing about the places that they arrive in as long as the memory existed in the first place.

Trust is something that can be sketchy for Epsilon. He is suspicious by nature, being one of the people who doubts Carolina when he meets her. She earns his trust along the way, but not before he helps Tucker spy on her to find out if she really was the enemy or an ally. He knows that despite all the shit talk that everyone has his back just as much as he has theirs. This is proven that even after accidentally pushing them away when both his team and the Reds showing up in the directors hiding place to fight the army of Tex bots. Loyalty is a big thing for Epsilon, even if it doesn’t seem like it since he’s constantly snapping at both teams and the Freelancers throughout the episodes. He actually in his own way praises Caboose for the loyalty that man shows since he was the only one who would interact with Epsilon in his original containment unit.

He does have what one would call happiness. However short these moments are, he does appreciate them in his own way, even if it’s caused by Tex who then immediately tries to kill/maim/cripple him. Sometimes without even greeting him first. He is happy when he is accepted into the team so easily after being put into the artifact when originally taken out in the desert even if he was confused at first as to who everyone was.

Even if it doesn’t seem like he can be anything but angry, Epsilon has a rather rounded out personality. Deep down inside he is still a rather angry person due to his fate, but he wouldn’t be the type of guy who would sit on a porch all day, shaking his gun at kids who step onto his lawn. Epsilon is a character in his own right that manages to balance out the team by being who he is.

Strengths:
  • Military training - Questionable since he is originally a computer program, he does have the basic skills he needs to survive on his own. He does prefer the creature comforts, but can hoof if since he knows it will be called for sooner or later.

  • Leadership – The ability to make sound decisions for his team, even if they don’t listen to them at all or not until it’s too late. This shows that even though he really ‘hates’ it, he does take the job somewhat seriously. He was the one who decided to take the position. No one else wanted to take the job, and someone had to!

  • Voice of Reason – Though largely ignored just like his leadership, when things don’t make sense or seem too extreme, he’s quick to point out that maybe they should think of something else.

  • Loyalty – Epsilon is loyal to a fault if he likes you enough or can trust you. It’s hard to break, and even if it seems like he ‘hates’ someone, the fact he’s stuck around to yell at everyone is proof enough that he might actually not want them dead. Except Caboose. Caboose can go die.

  • Intelligence – Largely disputed due to his attitude, Epsilon is smart. He can see things in situations and knows how to get around problems. He is rather quick, or he takes his time, making sure that everything is where it’s supposed to be before voicing what he knows should happen. The only thing stopping him from being a genius are the likes of Tucker and his own temper.

  • Memory - He is good at remembering things, even if it is inane little things such as the last time someone brushed their teeth. These memories might not always help the situation, but they can be an asset in his survival.

  • Weaknesses:
  • Temper – Prone to bursts of cursing, yelling, and just being a grumpy asshole. If he resorts to physical violence, it backfires. Yelling works better in his favor. Yelling doesn’t embarrass as much as not hitting your target with your gun.

  • Big headed – Stroke his ego or make him in any way think he’s better than you, and this ugly side shows. Comes with bragging, strutting his stuff, and a loss of temper when questioned.

  • Lazy – If he doesn’t give a damn about something, don’t expect him to do anything. He is more than happy to just stand there and watch other people do work, or just… you know, stand there beside them and not do work with them.

  • Lack of patience – This guy is awful at waiting for things. The first to rush people, he will quickly become an annoyance when he thinks the task shouldn’t take as long as it should.

  • Lack of common sense – He can suffer from this rather badly. Even if something is obvious, he can miss it since he’s trying to think of another solution first. When pointed out to him, he pretends he knew all along that this is what was needed to solve the problem.

  • Can’t Aim – Despite being a sniper, Epsilon can’t hit anything. Hell, he doesn’t even know how to use the zoom function on his sniper rifle. Why he is the one in charge of that gun is something no one understands. Throwing things get the same treatment as he doesn’t have the arm or sense of direction he needs to actually hit something. Team kills can happen this way.

  • Obsession - It's not healthy. Everything else is shoved to the wayside when he puts his mind to something he really, really wants. This can manifest in him running off on his own, or pushing people away who refuse to help him. It never ends well for him. He never gets what he wants.
