Personality: Mary Weather is a strong willed young lady. She doesn't let anything get in her way, except for Cain's instructions, but that is a lesson she had to learn the hard way. She is good at taking care of herself and being independent, but as a child she has some limitations. Her force of will gets her through the day, except when she is overpowered by someone older than herself. When she was trapped by a girl named Rebecca and her servant Bertha she was terrified and essentially helpless, but she was still strong-willed enough to try to tell Rebecca that she was wrong and why she was wrong. She still needed to be saved by her brother Cain, but her force of will was enough to throw Rebecca into a kind of crisis over what she was doing, even though it did not result in her stopping. Later, she used that same force of will to convert Mikaila to her side to work against Cain's father and the dark mechanisms he had set in place. Mikaila did not live for much longer after she decided to help Mary, but she was able to die with a peaceful mind thanks to Mary's words. Words cannot always save her, however.

Mary only learned the lesson of her own limitations and her own limited knowledge when Cain forbade her from going to the Crimone Gardens. She convinced her brother's best friend, Oscar, who was supposed to keep an eye on her while her brother was gone, to let her go to the gardens' opening celebration. While there bombs went off and took down the patio she had been standing on with Oscar. She hurt her leg and saw many people dying or dead from the bombing. Surviving that she realized that Cain only would tell her to not do something if it is for her own good. She's smart enough to realize that won't be everyone's motive, however, but will listen to them in the same way once they have earned her trust.

Mary is kind hearted as well, willing to put others before herself. She seeks to be the person to lend an ear when someone is in need. She likes to be the person that refreshes others from the world's challenges. She has a pure heart, and seeks to keep herself pure so that she can continue to shine with the goodness found on earth. She is easy to talk to and very open to other people and other ideas, while maintaining a strong conviction for her own opinions and morals. She is slow to judge people as well. She prefers to get to know a person before making any real opinion about them. Mary is the sort to think that everyone deserves a chance, or more than one. Because she believes in the good of other people she is able to bring more happiness to the world by helping people come to terms with what they may have done wrong by showing them the good that they have done as well.

She can see that light and positivity because she has seen some of the worst of humanity as well. Death and misfortune have followed her for most of her young life. Through all of it, however, she has kept close the goodness in every person she meets, remembering the person for their brilliance, not any darkness they might have. Even as people she cares about die, she keeps her head up and carries on, knowing that they would not want her to spend her life mourning, but instead spend it living. She cherishes her own life more for the friends that she has lost, and for having had the fortune to escape the East End. Because of the death of many of her friends Mary values each one more and more. She knows how fragile a life can be, and wants to be able to protect her friends from a terrible fate. As such, she has a tendency to always be there for her friends through thick and thin, showing them love and understanding.

Mary also has a fiery temper, though it has calmed down as she's matured. She can be quick to anger, though she doesn't yell much. Instead she's more likely to use curt and sharp language to take her opposition off guard. She typically only gets angry if someone pulls a prank- and that is a more light-hearted and playful anger- or when someone has done something against her morals. In general she has a feisty personality. She's not beyond some mischievous fun or confronting those she thinks has done wrong.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Mary isn't in the least bit physically strong, but what Mary lacks in physical strength she makes up in emotional strength. Not only does she have a strong will that can convince others of the good that she sees in them and in the world, but she is not easily shaken. She possesses a sense of self and a calm demeanour that means when she sees terrible things she can process and understand them more easily than most. She would still recognize these events as horrible, but unlike most children she has the strength to keep going during terrifying situations while still having a firm grasp on reason.

Her ability to reason is sharp, and she well knows the dangers there can be for children in the world, so she isn't the most trusting, at least when it comes to who she will listen to and take advice from. She is too trusting in the sense that she believes there is good in everyone, and will keep associating with potentially dangerous people if she sees a chance that she might be able to sway their thoughts and opinions to seeing the good in the world.

Mary can also be insecure at times. Because she is usually so strong and able to be there for all the people around her, sometimes she overburdens herself. She forgets that other people are there for her as well, and instead tries to keep it inside and stay strong. She will usually find someone to talk with before she can't take any more since she is smart enough to know that she needs to sometimes let her anxiety out. Mary is also more insecure when she feels alone. Not just when she's on her own for a time, but when she doesn't have anyone that she can trust around her. Cain gave her a reason to live by living himself, and Oscar and the family and her belief that Cain survived gave her reason to keep fighting when Cain went missing.

Pokémon Information
Affiliation: Trainer
Starter: Eevee. Eevee is like Mary Weather; they are both capable of changing to whatever environment they are set in, but both also are more familiar with cities, having been born there and are both naturally inclined towards urban areas, even though they can adapt to wilds. (If this does not work, after much thought I believe a houndour would be an acceptable starter.)
Password: Apple Strudel

Samples
First Person Sample: [A young girl with blond hair is on the screen, looking rather scared,] Is this working? Can someone tell me how to get home? I need to get back there now! [She takes a deep breath, raising her chin and looking more determined,] My family needs me right now. I don't know what kind of place this is, but I need to go back.
[There's a small cry from off screen,] Eevee!

[Mary picks the little creature up,] I don't know what kind of animal this is, how this device even works, or where I am. Would someone please explain? I truly need to get home.

Third Person Sample: The world of Pokèmon. It was something rather difficult to get her head around. There was that strange man just telling her a bit about the world, but it just didn't make sense. How did she get here? What happened? She even wondered if she fell ill and all of this was some fever dream. That, however, seemed impossible. There was no way she could have this cheerful of a fever dream. It still made little sense, and she just found she could not trust this place.

She examined her room suspiciously. It had things she had no clue about, like the computer and the game system. She thought it strange that someone would put her in a room like this. Her first thought is that she's been kidnapped. But the stairs went straight down to the first floor. That didn't seem like a very good layout if they wanted to keep her from escaping.

She knew she wouldn't get any more answers up here, so she carefully makes her way down the stairs. She's caught off guard when this strange woman starts treating her like a daughter. This, above all else, gave Mary an unsettling feeling. She tried asking this woman questions, but only got the same information out of her every time, no matter what she asked. By now there's a deep seed of fear in her gut. She makes her way to the door and rushes out when her 'mom' does nothing to stop her.

Mary wanders the town asking questions until she finally finds a professor. She keeps trying to get more information out of him as she tries to wrap her mind around the situation. It just didn't make sense. Where could this place be? What was wrong with the people here. Had her father somehow survived and set this up? But why? Maybe someone in her family poisoned her and she was dreaming, or dead, though this is not the kind of afterlife she supposed there would be. All the while she is pushed on by a pressing need to get back home. She had to lead the family or it would fall into squabbles and chaos.

After trying to question the man more on what was happening and getting no further answers she stops to try to assess the situation more. The world is strange and unfamiliar and the adults around her seemed no help at all. She begins to cry softly at the edge of town, knowing it was better to cry a little bit than to go into a full panic. She could figure this out. She had to.

She sits on some grass to look through the backpack and see what supplies she had to work with. That is when she finds her starter's pokèball. She presses the button, and a red ray leaps out and turns into a small fox-like creature that looks up to her and exclaims “Eevee!”

Mary jumps as the light shoots out and the creature appears, but when the animal just keeps looking at her she puts out her hand out for the creature to smell. The eevee inches forward to sniff her hand before he exclaims “Vee!” Mary gently pets his head and sniffles, “What are you?” As if in response the eevee call out, “Eevee,” again. Mary laughs a bit, feeling a bit better with this little companion. She didn't feel quite so scared or alone.

“I should call you something,” Mary says, petting the pokèmon's head. “Cassius?”

“Vee!”

“Cassius it is then! Let's see if we can find anyone to talk to that is a bit more helpful!”
