First Person Sample: [They weren't prepared for this. Lost from his party, Rei sits hunched under his sleeping bag, doing his best to avoid from getting rained on. He's made himself a pretty sizable fortress from the harsh weather, but his hair still clings to his forehead, and droplets litter over the lenses of his glasses.]

I... a-apologize for any disturbances, but I have a vitally important question! [It's not as vital as it is himself rushing; Rei doesn't want to be out. But he's been dared, and it's scientific in a way. He turns the gear towards a scene before him, and just begins to ramble.]

Given the fact that my Feebas is a water-type, even though he tends to s-spend a majority of his time seemingly depressed, I--I just h-have to question the... efficiency of... f-feeding it cake in this tumultuous weather. N-not only does it go against what I've researched on pokemon diets, or even human diets, a-as it contains far too much sugar and empty starch to function even as a valid source of a-any vitamins for a majority of the flavors, but...

It's getting soggy!

[But there is a Feebas, getting soaked in this downpour, trying to make his way through a slice of watered-down cake on a plate.]

I... also b-belatedly realized that the plate is really... useless, to be honest--

[And there's a sneeze. He stumbles forward and almost drops his gear--but in catching it with both hands, he loses his blanket. With an indignant sniffle, he turns the gear back to himself.]

...I also implore that no one head outside in this weather. It's... not too difficult to travel in, b-but it's... cold.

Third Person Sample:
There were many things in this world that Rei would have never expected: and singing Valentines in November were definitely one of them. It had been a quiet afternoon in the Goldenrod Gym, where Rei had taken up a job cleaning after battles and greeting traveling trainers, when an individual in a lobster costume had entered asking for Whitney. The bewilderment of the costume itself had concerned him more than the bouquet of pink and yellow roses in his hand, and Rei honestly had to wonder what the costume had to do with anything.

Accepting the flowers, as he wasn't sure what else to do, he checked the tag as he carried the large bouquet to the front desk: a package from an unknown donor, delivered by the Kingler Delivery service--

Wait. Weren't Kinglers crustacean pokemon? Large, horned shells, two large pinchers and spindly legs. A water-type, evolution of Krabby--but this guy was dressed as a lobster. Completely inaccurate, and not beautiful at all... Opting to refrain from critiquing the costume, as he doubted the delivery gent chose to wear it voluntarily, he merely set the flowers down on the front desk, but found himself pausing as the sounds of song floated to his ears.

...Song?

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

Turning around, he just stared, rather dumbfounded: so the lobster-suit-clad delivery boy had opted for... serenading him. (Whitney? But she wasn't even there--) He just stared, rather deadpan, over the increasing length of song by this atrocious singing voice. He himself wasn't the best, but certainly this man could see the error in his choice. As the seconds passed... it seemed as though he couldn't. Politely waiting for the delivery boy to finish the song, he merely did his best to refrain from reacting too unpleasantly. But he just had to wonder: was there some particular custom this world had that actually deemed this sort of behavior alright? Or was this young gentleman... troubled?

Well, this would be a good story to tell his friends after his shift, that was certain.
