Jake English | Homestuck | Not Reserved | 2.2

Pokémon Information

Affiliation:
First off, Jake will take the path of a trainer, but as he learns more about breeding, he may get involved with that, but that is going to be later down the road. Watching Pokemon battle and "fistficuff" seems more up his alley at first.

Starter: Jake's starter Pokemon will end up being Cubone. He'll enjoy the skull and bone aspect it has.

Password: I believe it is Strawberry Sherbert.

First Person Sample:
[ It didn't really matter at the precise moment that he was put into some new and foreign world. Rather, the fact it was so chilly out— it was unbearable. Yet, Jake had found himself a place to settle in the nearest Pokemon Center. It took him running through grass and avoiding every single terrifying Pokemon that appeared, but he got to the Pokemon Center as quick as possible. Still frazzled at the entire situation, he can finally relax on a sofa in the lobby area, teeth chattering and shivers going up his spine as he tries to figure out how to work the contraption in his back pack.

He had figured out most of everything else, but took his time to figure out the texting feature. Once his anxiety to speak to others was driven (or frightened) out of him, he finally took the liberty to text. Needless to say, his Cubone, was secure safely in its Pokeball. In fact, he hadn't even taken it out yet... and nobody was surprised. No wonder he was running from wild Pokemon and not fighting with them. ]

Erm yes hello?
Oh golly-bob there it goes sending out a message to you all. Well thats fan friggen tastic i thought all the jitters were out of my system but evidently not.
I dont know horsey-jack about introducing myself or greeting other trainers.. or what the devil flipping shits im supposed to be doing at this present time but i am residing in a pokemon center i believe freezing my caboose off in this frigid weather.
Have you heard the expression its colder than a witchs tata in an iron bra before?

Maybe thats not the cleanest analogy to use i swear.
*SEE* i told you i was terrible at all of this!!
But if anybody wants a friend my name is jake.

And im going to go away now.

Third Person Sample:
Ilex Forest reminded him slightly of home with the copious amount of critters to interact with, especially with the moon as full as it was. The chilly air was almost unbearable, but a camp fire he was able to make was satisfying enough to endure the cold. Green eyes glazed over as he tugged a blanket over him, mind idly drifting to thoughts about home. He had missed home for quite some time now, but not in this way. Not since he was brought here and sent on a journey.

It wasn't as if he wasn't enjoying himself— it wasn't like he hadn't made any friends. Jake was thankful and grateful for everything he had obtained and gone through thus far, but he couldn't help but feel homesick. The teen raked his hand through his dark hair and heaved a deep sigh. Typically, he would feel comforted by just an ear to vent to— somebody to have him hear out his thoughts.
Fortunately, his Cubone rested by his side, resting its head against his body and enjoying the warmth he produced.

"Do you wonder if our journey will abruptly come to an end soon? By golly gahootz, I hope there is a warning. Fancy it or not, I actually do miss home. Yes, yes. Of course. I'm daft— off my rocker— completely and utterly mental for reminiscing about such a hazardous place. But I do, I really really do!  I miss all of my computers, and my little round room, and all of my movies, and... even the horrifying but majestic beasts that made a good scare out of me! I feel as if I want to burst into tears again, but that's not very brave, is it?" Jake questioned, looking down at his companion who was only half-way paying attention. Cubone was used to hearing this at this point— Jake was a chattery thing when he meant to be, which was often.

He combed his nails over Cubone's head.

"Heh, funny thing. It's oddly fitting. I used to think I was ole brave and rugged, just like Indiana Jones! I think it was merely because I wore myself the package of weapons and gizmos and things, all the while exploring and caving into the mysteries of my island. I.. only come to this startling realization that I really have been fooling myself all along, haven't I?"

There was a long silence, accompanied by a chilly breeze.

"At least I have you. I don't know how I would manage without you and everybody else I've been generously blessed with to meet."
Jake does manage to rub a stray tear from his eye, and soft smile finally appears back on his lips once more.
