Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ intelligent Joonhee places second in his grade and is the top of his class. His marks are good enough to get him into Seoul University, him and Yoonjae are the only two students in his school to make it into Seoul University. He's not a genius or anything but he has a sharp, bright mind that allows him to process information well.
+ hardworking He's someone that actually works hard in order to succeed. With school he studies hard and in dance he likely practices a lot.
+ kind He's just a really nice guy, it's repeatedly stated that kindness is his defining trait. He takes care of his friends and is naturally a gentle and responsible person. He's also well mannered and gives a good first impression.
+ dance / sports Unexpectedly he's a really talented dancer and is pretty good at sports so his body is in good condition. He moves fast and is pretty flexible too.
+ domestic He's pretty good at cooking and cleaning so he can take care of himself (and others) well.

- communication He doesn't tend to express himself directly, this makes it a bit difficult for him to make friends even though people tend to like him well enough. It also can lead to misunderstandings (like how Yoonjae thought he liked Shiwon). He doesn't talk about himself well at all even when it's with someone he's familiar with.
- teenager This is a weakness in the sense that he's still developing in some ways, he's calm and mature for his age but there are a lot of things he hasn't had a chance to experience yet. He's probably not completely comfortable with the feelings he has for Yoonjae either.
- passive He's not a pushover but he does tend to let others take the lead. Joonhee also doesn't try to change things for himself, unless it's for someone else's sake. He doesn't have a take charge kind of personality.
- self defense No skills to speak of in this area so while he's in good shape if he were actually in danger he has no experience in having to defend himself physically.

First Person Sample: [ the video feed clicks on to Joonhee's uncertain face. Where does he even start...? ]

Ah...that auntie isn't my mom, I don't think she's even Korean. [ but she speaks Korean. Or everyone speaks Korean? This is really confusing but so is everything else about this place. ] I was trying to explain that to her but she kind of chased me out here and...I'm not sure I quite understand what's going on.

[ He's never played Pokémon, he's more of a DDR guy.

There's a pause as he remembers his manners. ]

Sorry, I've been rude. My name is Kang Joonhee and I just got here. [ he bows deeply, while holding the PokéGear so the motion translates a bit weirdly to the screen. ] It's not that I didn't listen but it was a bit confusing so if someone could explain things to me again I'd be really grateful.

... [ he could end the transmission now but something's still bothering him. ]

I think...maybe someone should keep an eye on that auntie as well since she seems-- [ not right in the head, but that's definitely something too rude to say. ] Troubled. I tried to go back to make sure she was okay but she just keeps telling me the same things over and over again.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm very thankful for your time. [ he bows again before the transmission ends. ]

Third Person Sample: Not so far away his Natu was staring right at him with unblinking eyes.

Joonhee had let the birdlike pokemon out accidentally; he’d panicked a bit, thought maybe the little creature would run away but it had just hopped back a few steps and tilted its entire body to look at him at a different angle.

“Yoonjae-yah,” he called to it softly and held out his hand. It seemed to understand that Joonhee was calling it even though it was the first time he was calling it by that name. It hopped up to him, looked this way and that at his hand as if to read his palm. “Are you sure you want to come with me? I’m not sure I know how to take care of you, though I’ll do my best.”

It was all he had to accompany him for better or worse and while Joonhee wasn’t exactly scared it was a bit comforting to not be alone in this unknown place. Besides, it really did look like Yoonjae, even more so than the puppy he’d given away.

‘Yoonjae’ chirped…well it wasn’t quite a chirp, but it must have been the pokemon’s equivalent of a chirp. Joonhee smiled at the sound and carefully gathered it in his hands. “We should go inside, it’ll get cooler once the sun sets…but I’m sure that auntie will let us stay the night at least. We can worry about the rest tomorrow.” Maybe a part of him still thought that tomorrow would be him waking up back home, where he should have been instead of this strange world with this strangely round bird but if it wasn’t then he would have to make the best of whatever this was. It was still a baffling thought but it wasn’t horrifying either, at the very least he was far from alone.

“I called you Yoonjae but are you a girl or a boy?”
