Character Name: Link Series: Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Timeline: post-game Canon Resource Links: Here Here
Personality: In many ways, Link shares similarites from his other counterparts. He's kind, selfless, friendly, and optimistic. He strives to help others no matter what, even if he dosent get a reward in return. As long as he's helping someone, even a complete stranger, he's happy. And like his counterparts, the most defining characterstic about him is his courage. No matter how powerful the opponent or how grave the danger, Link never shows any sign of cowardice. This is best exemplified by his willingness to be the Hero of Winds. Though he initialy ventured out to rescue his sister, once he learned of his destiny, he quickly took the role without hesitation.
However he differs from his counterparts in ways as well. Despite not being much of a talker, he's very expressive. Reading his thoughts is easy as reading his facial expressions or his body language. When he kills a boss, he leaps with joy. When he finds good treasure, he's estatic. When he's falling (or his pants are on fire), he screams and flails around in fright. When he's drinking Chu Jelly, he scrunges his face and chucks it down. When sneaking around a fortress, it looks very cartoonish. Whatever he's thinking shows.
His biggest characteristic, however, is his love for his family, particularly Aryll. Link is, for all intents and purposes, the best big brother you'd ever see. He gets along great with his sister and his very protective of her. When Aryll was kidnapped by the Helmroc King, Link immediately rushed to the rescue, not realizing that he was about to fall off a cliff. And may God help anyone who even thinks of harming her. Link's inital reason for venturing out to the Great Sea was solely to bring Aryll home.
However, as he travels the Great Sea, he begins to mature. He goes from a dopey island kid, to the Hero of Winds. He endures many hardships, learns to use various weapons and gadgets, seen others seperate from their loved ones to fufill their destines, and by the end of the game he knows what he has to do and does it with no complaints.
Link is not without his faults however. He's very easygoing and somewhat lazy. Odds are, if he's not helping others, he's usually snoozing. Because he's a kid, it's very easy to manipulate him into things. Though he knows what's right and wrong, he still comes off as a bit too trusting. Link is also very high strung and it's easy to startle him. He also seems a bit spoiled as he protested (made a face) at wearing the hero's tunic, though he put it on anyway.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths * Is skilled in swordplay. * Can use various weapons and gadgets. * Is quite athletic for his size, able to leap great heights ,and even without his Power bracelets, carry a person his size with little effort. * Adept at puzzle solving. * Excellent at mapmaking and sailing.
Weaknesses * His expressive face makes it hard to hide his thoughts. * He's used to fighting his own battles and will need time to adjust to the Pokemon here. * Can be easily manipulated due to his young age. * Because of his light frame, a strong enough blow can knock him out. * While his willpower and courage are admirable, they can also make him very reckless. * His education is limited to whatever his Grandma saw fit to teach him. He knows how to read and write, but other skills like math are basic. Also, since the closest thing to modern technology is a sailboat, anything beyond that will fly over his head. It's best to tell him it's just magic.
Items Because Link is known to carry a lot of gadgets, and this game's rule about weapons. The only items he'll have on him are: * His Deluxe Picto Box. * His telescope. * His grappling hook and hookshot (for climbing purposes only) * His Boomerang. * 5 bottles of Chu Jelly. * His island outfit. If this is not okay, then feel free to nerf this as you will.

[The feed clicks on to reveal a blond haired boy with very large eyes. He's dressed in a green tunic with white pants and brown boots. From the look of it, he's barely thirteen. He fiddles with the Pokedex for a few moments before realizing it's on video. The boy finally speaks.]
Hoy. I'm not sure if I'm using this right, but my name's Link. Has anyone seen a girl named Tetra? She's about my age. This is what she looks like.
When she looks like this, she goes by the name Zelda. If you see her, please let her know I'm looking for her. Thank you.
Third Person Sample: A groan escaped Link's lips as conciousness slowly returned to him. When he finally opened his eyes, he awoke to find himself in a town of some sorts. He came to two immediate conclusions: He wasn't in the Great Sea, and he wasn't in Hyrule. That's when panic began to settle in. Where was Tetra?! Where was Aryll?! Where was the King of Red Lions?! And where was he for that matter?! He reached behind him to grab his sword only to find... he didn't have his sword. For that matter, he didn't have his shield. Link reached in his pockets to find that the only items he had where his Picto Box and telescope. Who took his stuff?
His thoughts were interuptted by a squawk from behind. Link turned around to find that there was a seagull-like creature behind him. At first, Link thought it was a monster of some sorts, but it made no move to attack. Instead it jumped right on his shoulder and perched itself there. It seemed friendly enough, and in a way it reminded him of Aryll. In fact, he decided to name it Aryll. Link then wandered around the village to find information about this place. Apparently this world had friendly creatures called Pokemon that people used to battle others and gain badges. Link didn't know the first thing about Pokemon battles, but it seemed fun. Having some time to kill, Link decided to spend the day in the best way he could: helping others and making friends. And so Link spent the entire day helping the people in town with their problems. Once the day was over, Link settled into a house and went to sleep. Tommorow he'd set out to explore the rest of this place. And who knows? With some luck, Tetra and Aryll might be here.
