"...Welcome to the world of Pokémon!"

Hello there! By clicking this link, it means you're at least somewhat interested in Route 29, right? We'll work with that!

First off: Route 29 is a panfandom livejournal roleplay taking place in the world of Pokémon. This doesn't mean you need to already know pokémon upon joining, but you'll definitely learn along the way.

Upon waking in your assigned bedroom, you will be given two pokémon. The barracks are simple: each member will be in a small room of one or two beds, occupied by another PC, an NPC rocket, or alone (decision is left to the players).

They'll receive two pokémon:
• one (1) pre-trained, microchipped pokémon (level 15) as a starter (from the starters list, not marked with a black X)
• and one (1) pokémon (level 5) of your choice out of the following:
Ekans, Koffing, Rattata, Grimer, Magikarp, Zubat, Woobat, Scraggy, Murkrow, Croagunk, Stunky, Vullaby, Drowzee, Vulpix, Houndour, Skorupi, Seviper, Trubbish and Spinarak.

I'm a Breeder. Is that different from a Trainer?
Yes! Breeders begin their journeys sensibly the same way as Trainers, in New Bark Town with a level 5 pokémon. However, their goal is not to gain badges (though they may do so) but instead to breed the best pokémon possible!

Breeder Perks:
- No Badge Necessary to use an HM move! All you need to do is borrow the disc itself from a trainer, and you're set!
- Breeding Shinies! Only registered Breeders can obtain shiny pokémon eggs through breeding.
- Breeding more pokémon than trainers.
